Agree with Tim all the way. A few weeks ago I was watching the NYY and the announcers said that it was the anniversary of the Juan Marichal/Warren Spahn 15 innings, 1-0 game. At a commercial break, I switched over to the NYM game. Those announcers were crowing that the Mets had a handful of pitchers who went 7 innings. I've said that today's best pitchers might be as good as those in the past, but because they get the hook so quickly , they will never have the stats. I've heard Dan say that the HOF used to be for the greats; now it will be for the very good. On his show recently, someone said it's not inconceivable that a starter could get into the HOF with 125 wins.
Re: Making pitchers go through the6th inning. Wow, talk about micromanagement. Doesn’t the game scenario, & the pitcher’s performance, already dictate this in an organic. Natural way?
Not being able to swing 3-0 because it’s not a close game is the stupidest thing ever for an mlb game. If it’s not okay then have a 10 run rule like they do for kids.
Rob Manfred allows the Astros to keep the WS trophy but holds fast on Rose. Nothing but disrespect for one of the worst commishs in baseball if not all sports. Tim is the Goat.
calling Bonds tainted is going to be one of the biggest mistakes in this generation. you could give the top 100 players in baseball any drugs you want and they wouldn't do what he did. people don't know what they're talking about
What I don’t understand is the man has 286 wins Burt Blyleven has about the same amount I know his losing record is what hurts him also when they did the Yankees and the Dodgers, why does he not have a good dental plan or why is nobody taking care of himbecause his mouth is very raggedy😮, why don’t somebody say hey let’s help this man out I’m just saying I think he was a very good picture for the Yankees and the Dodgers
Where is petey king? With his take on the Redskins? Where little pete has his Si camp on August 2, 2011. petey is all in. Little petey had no problem cashing checks. Dem dan, neither.
Pete is never getting into the Hall and he should never be in the Hall. HBP on the knob little different then injecting steroids, love ya Tim but think your take is a little off.
I can’t imagine Billy Martin, Lou Pinella or Earl Weaver managing in today’s MLB.
Why? Earl Weaver was way ahead of his time on things like walks and seemed very open to data and change. I think he would do great.
@@Markdfadf He would not allow the front office to micromanage every pitch of every game five hours before the game starts.
Love Tim

He's stuck in the past, should be a History Storywriter!
The goat!
TJ Surgery should be known as "The Frank Jobe procedure" (popularly called a Jobe job), named after the doctor who first performed it.
Tim points out this generation is nothing but a bunch of coddled little sally boys 😂😂

Acuna went 40/70 last year! No one ever mentions it!
Cause he not a dodger...
My guy he won the MVP the heck you talking about?
Is it Ok to swing on a 3-0 pitch? Is it Ok to shoot a 3 pointer? Is it ok to go for the green? It is Ok... do your best.
Tim Kurkjian is a class act, a hall of famer, and trustworthy man.
Stuck in the past!

Tim is baseball. Always have time for him/
Nothing to do with the interview, but that “Dan Patrick Show Meat Friday” serving platter on DP’s desk is lit!!!

Baseball has been ruined. Stupid rules, over zealous umpires, coddled players.
so find another sport, times change as do sports, take the easy path and move on!

The baseball guy...awesome
That WAS what baseball WAS about!
Times move on, why is it the oldsters who want the old days that most don't want!
Lol Tim doesn't know how to adjust a webcam
Wait…. What…. Has DP changed his spot in the Man Cave? What’s going on?
He isnt in studio. He is on vacation elsewhere
BFSO =before flax seed oil
Wonder how many innings pitchers went in little league and high school? With travel ball, arm could be worn out as mlb pitchers..
Mike Trout hit it on a 3-1 count but sure
wait what is this nonsense about a 6 inning rule

induct Pete Rose while he's still alive. 4256
don't even get me started on Clemens. get him in there too
We gotta start at an 8 inning rule..6 is wild

The six inning rule is baseball being afraid of evolving. Let the game breathe. This is some "get off my lawn" nonsense.
Listen to yourself. NFL 3Q rule?
The game has gone past the stalwart starting pitcher who throws complete games. It's not the 1980's anymore, and those days aren't coming back.
