Picked it up yesterday. It was in perfect condition. I did notice it has thicker metal in areas. And it is powder coated. Compared to two Stack On gun cabinets that I used to own. And they were made in the USA. Doors would rattle. Paint had bubbles. Which wasn’t so bad until the paint started flaking off. This cabinet is definitely nicer. Unfortunately made in Mexico. I installed weather stripping around the door frame. And I had a harbor freight light with a magnetic back that I place in side at the top. Used aluminum tape to plug up holes. I use a rechargeable dehumidifier can as well.
I just bought one thru Tractor Supply. Couldn’t get a manual or instructions from Stack-on, and they didn’t seem to know anything about it. Normally that wouldn’t really be a problem since the remaining assembly was only installing three shelves, but it took me at least two hours for those three shelves and required two of us. The primary problem was that the shelves would not go far enough back to line up the bolt holes. This was puzzling because the measurements all appeared correct. I finally figured out that the back was slightly bowed in. Since the metal was light enough to flex, I tried to press it back by various means but couldn’t make it work. I finally tilted the shelves so that I could get the front bolts in and then swung the shelves back down and used that way to force the bend in the back wall out. Then the back bolts were relatively easy. Once together I’ve got my rifle ammo sorted and stacked in it. It looks good and works well for me, but what a lot of effort and swearing to put in three shelves.
I could not find one online or locally. But I did find that Tractor Supply and Cabela’s have one with their names on it. Tractor Supply was $20 less. So I ordered one. Thanks for doing a video on this cabinet. I plan on looking it over close at the store. If it is damaged I will negotiate a discount. Then straight it best I can. And cover it up with stickers! Of course the grand kids will help me with that.
Or you can get the regular stack on gun cabinet. It doesn’t say ammo on it and you can stack it full of ammunition and it doesn’t advertise and it’s just as good.
@@mikeshorsepowergarage7577 I have a regular stack on gun cabinet. All it has is one shelf on top. The rest of the inside of the gun cabinet is for rifle shotguns to stack the ammunition on top of each other in that area.
@@jessmarconi518 dick’s Sporting Goods sells stack on gun cabinets or you can also go to tractor supply I would rather buy mine at tractor supply because they’re not hating scumbags like dicks. I refuse to spend one cent at dicks when they removed guns from their stores I knew right then in there, there are a bunch of communist scumbags and they’ll never get a cent of my money. tractor supply on the other hand is a great place their program and they play country music. They’re awesome.

I’m happy with mine as well. I installed mine in a closet, and bolted it to the wall. Cheers!
