Thanks again, You help thousands enjoy their instrument. 72 was wild, We were at Winterland, exciting, I have friends who had so much fun they don't remember the show.Someone thru Bill a joint & he smoked it, the most layed back guy. Damn good time!
How was the music scene by the start of the 80’s ?? I’m born 2000 and I always just find it curious knowing how much music changes thru decades I think about how acts like Michael Jackson and Prince may have come out by then where pop elevated beyond
@@officialclairegmusician that fedex field 2019 show was epically good. best show i saw that tour. ronnie was absolutely on fire, scooping in w crazy mad jams, at just the perfect instant. i've seen every tour '89 and forward. this was one of the best.
You are not only one of my favorite teachers but your taste in music, guitars and t-shirts are without peer-thanks for taking the time to do this and keep them coming
That tour started here in Vancouver, a small riot ensued and is a topic when Stones history and music is chatted about in these parts. I was only 12 at the time, too young too attend fortunately!
I've been watching your stuff for years despite not being a player. You have pulled back the veil and revealed secrets I could never uncover. I first ran into you accidentally on the previous channel when I wanted to hear the Ya Yas Out version of Carol. That still blows me away. Always enjoy your stuff. Thanks for this one-it's fantastic
I figured this tune out about a year ago by total accident. The weirdest part was that I had my Keef shirt on. I immediately got a strange feeling that something bad had happened. Turned out all good though. Really fun to play and just a great rocker! Thanks for letting me know I was playing it right LOL! 🐉💀👽🎸🎶🎵🧠
Great lesson James! I wish Keith did more soloing too! I like how he builds them almost like a staircase from one note to the next, every note in place and on the money!
This is one of the first riffs I learned but I learned it the way you showed initially. The open string nuances and open strings ringing make the riff come alive. We can sure count on you for the Stones tunes! Keep it up.
Great job, as usual. Someone might have shared this story from Andy Johns on one of your other lessons on this tune; if so, apologies for the redundancy: "When we were doing 'Bitch,' Keith was very late. Jagger and Mick Taylor had been playing the song without him and it didn't sound very good. I walked out of the kitchen and he was sitting on the floor with no shoes, eating a bowl of cereal. Suddenly he said, Oi, Andy! Give me that guitar. I handed him his clear Dan Armstrong Plexiglass guitar, he put it on, kicked the song up in tempo, and just put the vibe right on it. Instantly, it went from being this laconic mess into a real groove. And I thought, Wow. THAT'S what he does."
Just wishing everyone on here some love and positivity to move forward in the stress filled lives we all live Much love for everyone and hope everybody doing well
I love the way the guitar solo comes in on this song under The driving beat. I think the producing of Stones albums in this time period is incredible. And those horns!! Awesome! One of my favorites
I learned that riff the other day and when I saw this I thought rhe same! It's also similar to Stranglehold by Ted Nugent, Waitin for the bus by ZZ Top, Movin Out by Aerosmith, Cold Shot by Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc. It's fun to play medley of them all
I don't know what it is but I love the '75 till El Macambo period when the Stones sounded laid back like they were just going through the motions for a paycheck showing how good they are??!!!
Its amazing how many songs start there, Focus ,Sex Pistols, Ted Nugent? B#tch is a B side on a Stones single i've got, love your playing easy to learn I used to learn a song a week now its a song a day ,just looked back Private Tricker 👍.My other half was impressed with my Jumpin jack flash.
Hey there, love your Stones videos, curious what equipment amps/pedals you are using to get that great Stones sound, especially on your Get Yer Ya Yas videos? Thanks for being such a great fan of the Stones!! 👍
fantastic. thanks Man. This song has always intrigued me. I've thought that there is a part , middle/end where there is a double guitar lead and certainly there is a double sort of lead with sax and guitar. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this.
Great lesson! Just wondering, what are your thoughts on Gibson Firebirds? I bought one solely on the fact Brian Jones and Keith both played one and have been in love with the bird ever since.
"stinger at 7" you play that like Nigel Tufnel when he explains the resonance on his '59 Les Paul to Marti Di Bergi... " can you hear it"? "i don't hear anything.... "but you would though if it were playing". " i mean you can go and have a bite and you'll still be hearing that one". i'm sure you know the reference ,there's a little bit of Nigel in every guitar player.
Well, this is Mick T's part, so I didn't show Keith's licks. But that's done on the high E string, pull off from the 8th fret to the 5th fret. You can watch the Ladies and Gentlemen movie and see Keith doing it.
It was only during the last tour (2019) that Ron really was playing the rhythm properly. For some reason since 89 they left the mick t rhythm to the keyboards. It ruined the song for me for many years. Also, I could be wrong but at some point Taylor goes up a half or whole step for a few bars and then back. I don’t remember if this is in the live shows or the studio but he does go up a smidge for a few bars.
Wow this is great having Nigel Tuffnel teach you Rolling Stones songs!! Sounds like hes lost the British accent though. Must be from living in the States all these yrs. 🤔 Unfortunately his intelligence level makes teaching it pretty difficult. Especially that "stinger" 😆 On the studio recording it's played like an old Albert King lick. Not like an epileptic is playing it. 🤦
Side note gene simmons wanna be ass said he took this song to make duece..i always twist this one up slow and funky...I dig the g to e pull off single note in the beginning...even though i already learned most of these song i still love this channel cuz James is a solid legit Real player Respect
Without a doubt you are the best guitarist and teacher on You Tube
Mr Page could you please do some TH-cam videos that would be epic 😁
Thanks again, You help thousands enjoy their instrument. 72 was wild, We were at Winterland, exciting, I have friends who had so much fun they don't remember the show.Someone thru Bill a joint & he smoked it, the most layed back guy. Damn good time!
This is one of the tunes my band and I played back in 1981. Good memories.
How was the music scene by the start of the 80’s ??

I saw the Rolling Stones in 1972 at RFK stadium, in Washington DC. Stevie Wonder opened for them at the time.
I saw them last summer on July 3rd 2019 at the Redskins Stadium (FedEx Field) in Washington DC!!!!!!👍👍👍👅👅👅
i saw them the same year in akron ohio at the rubber bowl....stevie opened for them ....good times
Do you remember much about it , i can never remember half of the concerts i have been to ?
Same tour with Stevie in NC great show did not know Stevie was there till he walked out on stage

One of my fav tracks and fav T shirts JJ ! 👍 great work as always
Great riff, and love Mick taylor´s arrangements!
Thanks so much for this- had simplified it for myself, but been playing it wrong (but still fun) my whole life. This is fantastic! Much appreciated!

Great tune, I think some of best stones music is when Mick Taylor was in the band💪🎸
i love ronnie wood but i dig mick taylor sticky fingers and exile will always be my go to stones records
All time Classic Riff !!😊😮
Great lesson !!
I remember playing this one years back with a buddy who knows every Stones tune on guitar...Always a good time...
Just wishing everyone on here some love and positivity to move forward in the stress filled lives we all live
Much love for everyone and hope everybody doing well
my favorite Stones song
Gotta agree James.. its easily one of my favorite Stones riffs.. I love the grit. its nasty! Stones at their best IMO. Thanks James
Thanks again James now I have a classic Stones tune to fool around with when I get home from work. Your videos are outstanding
Thank you James. I can play Bitch now! HOW GOOD IS THAT!
sounds so good!
I was playing Mick's part correctly. Of course, I learned it from one of your other videos. Thanks!
It took me less than a minute to like this video. Very nice. Please keep up anything related to Mick Taylor!
I have been trying to get this song down for months. This is by FAR the best lesson on it. Thanks man!
Great Guitar 🎸 player, you play with great feel.Great Show.
Love that riff
Oh yeah man! I’ve been playing it using single notes, but now using the A string as a drone, it sounds so much better and not so “naked “ lol
I love the way the guitar solo comes in on this song under The driving beat. I think the producing of Stones albums in this time period is incredible. And those horns!! Awesome! One of my favorites
Ever noticed how similar this riff, particularly the bit when you play the open A, is to TV Eye?
I learned that riff the other day and when I saw this I thought rhe same! It's also similar to Stranglehold by Ted Nugent, Waitin for the bus by ZZ Top, Movin Out by Aerosmith, Cold Shot by Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc. It's fun to play medley of them all

The only youtube channel that I would ever need if it came down to choosing!
Cool, thanks! The Stones were already transforming when Mick Taylor joined but to me that was the classic lineup.
Woo Hoo a new Stones cover by James James
JJ, you put that together well. Great playing there man.... Totally enjoyed it....
Right on
Still have this lesson from your old channel in my favorites. You're playing your white Les Paul with the gold pick ups.
Thanks for the lesson! Just got a mint 2001 Gibson Les Paul Classic, and look forward to learning this killer riff! Congrats on your channel!
When this song 1st came out , radio stations could not say the name. They had to say " sounds like witch / female dog". 1971, the good ol ' daze.
Thank you again sir for another great lesson. I can’t thank you enough.
Makes a lot more sense to me now. My neighbours are about to complain again lol. Thanks James James.
That’s a bitch for them! Ha!
I picked up a few tips. Thanks JJ!
Great video! I want that T-shirt!
Not a real fan of The Rolling Stones but this lesson was pure GOLD. Thank you @jamesjames.
Rock on!

This lesson is so rocking it should be: B*tch by J*mes J*mes! 😹👍🏻
Great video!
Pedals used?
Great lesson! Just wondering, what are your thoughts on Gibson Firebirds? I bought one solely on the fact Brian Jones and Keith both played one and have been in love with the bird ever since.
keep rockin (y)
Bobb Cobb? The maestro?
Ah, the Mick Taylor years... what year is your Les Paul? Have one almost identical.
It’s a Tokai, around 40 years old.
Awesome, thanks!
Good stuff
Well damn, if it isn't yet another youtube video dedicated to my ex wife ;) Cheers J.J

miss u jj hope you're keeping well
Once again another great lesson , thanks!! 1 Question, please, how do you get that killer tone on your Guitar?
Hearing you break this down made me think how much “Hot Blooded” sounds like a bit of a mashup between “Bitch” and any number of songs by Free. 🤷♂️
what about the 2 note pull off thing up high ?what fret?
Well, this is Mick T's part, so I didn't show Keith's licks. But that's done on the high E string, pull off from the 8th fret to the 5th fret. You can watch the Ladies and Gentlemen movie and see Keith doing it.
how does that 'plii-now' go? ?
Was it your grand father or dad that back in the was a Ramone? Most excellent lesson Dude.
Gene Simmons has said the main riff of KISS’ Deuce is based from the main riff of Bitch, both great rockers.
yup
