In Va beach? He signed my mongoose in the parking lot of a restaurant after the comp I DID NOT KNOW HE WAS 3rd BEST IN THE WORLD AT YHAT TIME l!!! I wonder if he remembers
Trever. Chase Guinn. Chad Degroot. Kevin Jones. My personal flatland heroes. These guys have motivated me to ride since '93. Rode with Chase and Chad in 94, Phoenix,AZ. Cheers. Great upload.
Yep. That guy was awesome. Always took the time to show the kids how to ride and help fixed there bikes for free. I was his neighbor at those townhouses back in the day. Learned a lot of cool tricks .
Oh man, that was insane !!! I used to really enjoy watching the flat lander riders at the X Games. It's amazing that Trevor has the skills and ability so many years later. God Bless!!!👍
I’m 49 just got back in the freestyle bought a 2016 custom DMC Haro master in green and I have a 2018 all black Haro sport which I should be receiving tomorrow.
38 here and been away about 20 years. Was wondering what you thought about being away from the sport and getting back into at an older age. Found myself looking for a GT Alum Show, Schwinn Azrael, or Quamen frame. Just not sure how much of a problem the age thing would be. BTW, DMC was always my favorite. I loved his technical style, his street/flat style was very unique.
I was mesmerised watching him and his fellow competitors in the X Games. I wanted to learn that so much, but even the bikes were not available for sale where we were from, and if they were, not many could have afforded it. Makes me happy seeing him still riding.
Trevor has been killing it forever!!!! Suvh a huge inspiration for my group of friends and he can ride ride and skaeparks too! Dont get it twiiiizzzted!!!
just awesome! I haven't spoke to Trevor in years. (he came over to my old place in Shakopee, demo'd his riding) always so much fun to watch him! I had suggested he start racing MX w/ me, but as we know, he found his love with this and stuck with it!
When I was riding in the 90s, Trevor was one of the guys on the VHS videos I watched over and over and over! 😂 His riding in this video is so beautiful to watch. So smooth and powerful. Brought a smile to my face 😊 I really liked the format of the video, hearing him talk. The Bee Gees music (Grease) that played really suits this type of flatland. I used to watch the Day Smith segment with More Than A Woman playing. Awesome! Love that boomerang Trevor 😍
Trevor Meyer my man!!! I remember years ago riders said some bad things about Trevor. All I could say was, no matter what you say he's one of the best....Hands down. It's good to see he's still riding because he was untouchable for years. Some of the other flatland heroes like Andrew Faris stopped riding.
Sorry for the delay, I didn't realize you posted a response. The main criticism riders were giving that he was unoriginal and copying Chase G. Both were untrue, he was very original, he was doing moves many riders were not doing back then. As for copying Chase G, who didn't back then, we all did. He was good, and riders hated him for it.
Cool to see Trevor still riding! I remember seeing him at the 97 XGames. I know he got a lot of hate but he always seemed like a nice guy. He has to be pushing 50 awesome to still see him riding crazy good
I have always wanted a GT show I remember back in the 99 x games Trevor did this opposite foot peg wheelie bike flip thing Crazy how innovative and ahead of the times
Awesome!! I didn’t have cable in the 90’s so I had wait every month for the new issue of BMX Plus! to see who was winning the flatland war between Trevor and Andrew Farris.
So glad Trevor is still riding. he was and is a massive insp for me. I wish I could just shake his hand although I am in scotland... lol that will never happen
If you are looking to get into this, where do I begin, its like there isn't very much beginner stuff out there or I'm not looking in the right place. Idk
There are tons of flatland videos out there. However, you want to find a video called "ground rules" by Matt Wilhelm. It focuses on more mid school tricks, but it's still crucial to watch to get a grasp on modern riding. Tons of flatland videos on vimeo, too.
start with the ground basics...standing tailwhip and old school scuffing tricks...then maybe the firehydrant..after that you should know enough to know what to do next.
How awesome!! As I was watching, you answered one of my questions. However, one question remains. Is that your front brake on your right side handlebars? Stay cool man!!
Can't believe I'm only watching this now. What a joy to watch Trevor tear it up!! Master on the bike.
He’s still got the enormous handlebars, the front brake, and the big cheese grips!!! I love it!!!
Riding like a boss legend. He can tear it up! 👍
Haven’t seen this man ride since 1999 xgames! He’s always been awesome

Wow, it's like in sitting on my bike in the living room watching the x-games like I'm a kid again! The GOAT!

I never really liked flatland, but the way this guy did/does it is so stylish and good. He and Chad Degroot, best flatland riders ever.

He mentioned cross footed bar ride. Could there be a more dangerous trick, with so little glory?
I've seen him do it...it's pretty crazy.
