Joe.... that's as cool as Colorado!!! To get to see all these cool places all related to Firewood!! Love it!
Thanks Greg. I can't believe how all of this has happened tbh. I'm enjoying every second of it
I would say world class firewood producer, and journeyman traveler!! lol, have a great time!! Be safe.
Hi Joe: Great video- enjoy your trip. It would be great to see how they do firewood in Germany.
I hope it comes out well. I'm not very good at this but will try my best
Man, I had some very good laughs. "Everybody seems to know me. Calling me Morgen."
I am sooo glad, you are enjoying Germany.
Thank you for the praises. Looking forward to more videos
from here.
Mach's gut.
I live in Munich, so you made this video not too far away from me.
Enjoy your stay here in Germany!
Awesome to hear. We are planning a trip to Munich later in the year if all things align
Joe, I look forward to seeing your adventures in Germany. I remember when I landed at the Stuttgart International airport, my first taxi ride was in a yellow Mercedes-Benz. It made me realize that our European luxury cars are daily drivers in other countries. I would agree, the people I met in Germany were very friendly. Enjoy the journey Joe - cheers
New delivery vehicle? I was thinking it would be a go cart for around the wood yard. 😂😂. Have fun Joe!
Hi Joe, your show has become one of the most well rounded shows on the net. Certainly entertaining. Great stuff! Cheers from HB NZ
Hi Joe - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. Looking forward to your European adventures. We did a coach tour of the Black Forest in southern Germany a couple of years ago and we really enjoyed the scenery and the people.
I hope to bring some nice vids coming up Big R. Keep in mind I'm not very good staying organized by myself!
Joe that is Fantastic you in Germany and sharing your Adventure with us. Can not Wait to see what you have in Store for us Woodhounds next.
Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.
Too cool. I grew up in Germany and the place of the expo is my hometown. It’s called Schwarzenborn 😊
first name, Guten last name, Morgan. AKA: Employee of Month at OWB.
free firewood, with the delivery included, but the stacking fees are perturbingly exorbitant.
Ten years ago I stood in that exact spot in front of the gate. Spent three weeks touring Germany and Austria. Don't miss the beer that would be a crime. Safe travels
Oh my goodness, my morning brain glitched for a minute, I thought you were abroad! Wait a second … glad I could scroll back and see what happened there! Elaine from Canada here, clever video and great editing Joe. Weissenburg! What a beautiful old town and it was nice to see Lowery (sorry for spelling error) I’m so excited for you Joe, going from once a cubicle, to travelling abroad. Who would’ve thunk it? Thanks for taking us with you, take in all the sights, sounds and smells, and hope you have the time of your life. Cheers.
Great video 😊 Glad you are able to see another part of the world and experience the similarities and differences. Good luck and good travels. Can't wait to see the upcoming videos
Spent 18 months August 1966 to February 1968 in Kirch Goens Germany. It is around 40 kilometers north of Frankfort. Beautiful country. Very friendly people.
We were close to that. I must say I was traumatized by the Frankfort airport. WOW...what a confusing place
OWB....world class! Literally!
You have definitely found your calling, Joe.
We're all so proud of all you have accomplished and continue to do. 👍🏼
#OWB
#worldclass
#industrystandard
Nice going, Joe! You earned a great trip! You’ve done a lot for Japa…so it’s only natural that they want the magical OWB effect overseas, as well. 🤩👍
This is cool Joe, and Lauri makes a great tour guide. What a journey it has been!
That’s awesome Joe my dads side of the family is from Germany, my mothers side is from the Netherlands.
Thanks Frank. My dad's side is from Germany too. I hope to see the old home one day
The expo was in Schwarzenborn last week. The “Morgen” Joke was hilarious 😂
In large European countries (Spain, France, Italy, Germany) the largest part of the population only speaks their mother tongue, especially the older generations.
Seemed the farther away from the city the communication barrier increased. It didn't bother me any as Lauri is also fluent in German. What a great country for sure!
morgan ... morning ... as in guten morgen ... good morning Joe (sheeesh)
The potential OWB delivery vehicle looked better suited for Dan's mini firewood! Have a fantastic time on the other side of the pond Joe. Enjoy all the sights and sounds and make the most of the time spent on your working vacation!
haha... Darn i didn't think of that myself!!! LOL Thanks Bill. I took a pic just for you I will email it to you when I remember.
It makes sense for the guy who held the International Firewood Expo to go out being International.
Joe you have fun qnd enjoy. Meanwhile 100 degrees at 730 pm in southern VA!😂
Hey Joe! Swing by the BMW motorcycle factory and pick me up a hat! So cool! Safe travels!
haha. I think the BMW is a requirement by law to have in your driveway
1970 to 74 as an Air Force Brat. Lived just outside on Germany in the far south of the Netherlands, Brunssum.
Traveled a lot. Dad loved to get the 66 Ford Fairlane Wagon on the Autobahn to decarbonize it HAHAHAHA
Germany is rich in automotive engineering and history.
The country that started Volkswagen and the birth Country of Felix Wankle the Father of the Wankle Rotary Engine.
Travel safely Joe. 😉👍
Well, it pleases me every time an American travels abroard, and they discover there are things that exist other than car parks and shopping malls. Welcome to the place history comes from bro.
haha You didn't have to tell me that however. Still I think a cure for closed-mindedness is to travel. What a great experience! Thanks Adam
Joe, you need to know that in Germany that the letter W is pronounced like our letter V. So it's pronounced like Visenburg.
I caught on to that. Maybe I wasn't alliterative enough in the vid. Regardless it was an amazing town. Can't believe places like this exhist
@@ohiowoodburner I lived in Germany as a child for 3 1/2 years when my father served in the US Air Force. It was very eye opening to live in a country with a thousand years of history.
My dad had a LONGWOOD fuel/wood furnace. It said it could place a five foot log in it. The real limit was what you could handle. It would heat the chamber with wood if available or with fuel if not.
I can speak from experience here. My hardy takes up to a 3 foot log. When i first started using it I would have long logs...as I got older I noticed I kept cutting my logs shorter and shorter LOL
I think it would be nice if you have time to visit oak farm firewood in the UK since you are this side of the pond
That would have been nice but I am just along for the ride and not in control of the itinerary.
Sometimes you meet different folk on your delivery.. you spot a piece of kit you may get a deal on... or they have few trees you can have for free.. 🤠👍
That is the case but I don't do trees anymore. I buy them and they come to me!
Should I expect a tee shirt upon your return?? You know … for your ole buddy Wayne. Something catchy like “a guy I know went to Bavaria and all I got was this tee shirt “ Guten tag Herr Joe.
haha.... Just an employee of the month shirt Wayne! But you got to earn it!!! LOL
Hope you got to sample some of the German beer on your travels of the country. It certainly doesn't compare to anything brewed in the USA.
Time is money, all business owners need to know what they need to charge to make a profit. I will do most anything for a customer for the right price.
Well, now I know why you didn't take me up om mt offer to stack wood a while ago! I hope tou all had a great time!
I must have been half asleep when I wrote that comment, hit a few wrong keys!
ANOTHER GREAT DAY, OWB AKA (CAPTAIN MORGAN) ABROAD THE HORIZONS OF IMPORTING FIREWOOD INTERNATIONALY
GREAT JOB JOE, YOUR HUMOR IS LIKE A BREATH OF FRESH AIR, ALWAYS GIVE ME A GIGGLE.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
👍
I am sure by now you know that Morgen is " Morning 🌄".
Guten Morgen is Good Morning 🌄.
Love where you are, I haven't been there since we stored nuke's there in the 80s.
catch my upcoming vids. The one location I am sure you will find very interesting Bob
Who is keeping your restaurants happy.
I determined which ones would hit when I am away so I just worked it out w the owner/manager to stock up to get them thru my absence.
Actually, you could allow pickup. Just charge the same amount that you do for delivery 😉.
Germany, the place where firewood processors were first invented, after copying the chinese.
Does anyone live there. It’s like a ghost town
There were people there. This was on a sunday so most the shops were closed
I’m convinced you are a TH-camr that cuts firewood not a firewood dealer that makes videos. 👎🏻🌲🦞🦌🫎
haha. I consider myself a firewood business first. TH-cam is my hobby
Joe is single-handedly revamping the entire firewood industry. And EVERYBODY is reaping the benefits from it.
Definitely one of the most professional firewood businesses out there! 👍🏼
who knew selling "world class firewood" also makes you a "world class sightseeing traveler".
Im telling you!
