- Join Popcorn Sutton and J.B. as they do what they do best, one last time. This film is unavailable ANYWHERE as it was Mr Sutton's to distribute personally and I felt that it was worth sharing. Film maker NEAL HUTCHESON- 2009 Emmy Award winner- created this outstanding work of art. I own no copyrights to this film. Credit goes to the film maker, Neal Hutcheson, and Popcorn Sutton. R.I.P Mr. Sutton.- You are missed.
I love the fact I was born and raised in NE Tennessee. Most folks would look at ole Popcorn and see a "HIllbilly", I see nothing but a Legend
There's 20 year old's wouldnt work this damn hard for nothin'! We have lost our way. May God bless these boys and I hope more come along before America is gone for good!
I want that sign, would make cool man cave memorabilia.
When I watch this, I see a man, bent with age and the burden of years bearing down on him, working his ass off, hands in the dirt, carrying rocks back and forth, working harder than most men I've seen nowadays at a third of his age... and why? Because he was doing what he knew. If people didn't partake, enjoy or buy what he put his sweat into making, he wouldn't be putting in the effort. RIP Popcorn Sutton.
"...may whoever turned me in... may they rest in hell... reckon'...""
Ee
"Once that mud sets up, It'll be harder than a Methodist's minister's pecker"
LOL
Thumbs up if you think that Marvin Popcorn Sutton was a better person and worth more than George Bush, Jeff Bush, Obama and Romney all together!
Old school classic hero Mr Popcorn Sutton!
MAy rest in Peace!
I'm from South Florida. 305 till I die. Down where I'm from, you learn to respect people of all kinds. It's the Real American thing to do. This Man is a legend and his kind are legendary.
That's the 100% truth. I'm in law enforcement and even I disagree with what happened. People are hypocrites, the same people that charged and sentenced him probably also drank his moonshine. He was at the end of his career, he never forced any liquor down anyone's throat, and he should have been left alone! Instead he was cornered like a rat at felt he had no other option but to take his life. The judge responsible for sentencing him ought to be ashamed of himself. There are much higher...
A REAL MAN AND A TRUE LEGEND!! RIP MR POPCORN SUTTON!!
i would have loved to have seen them build that shack ...
My favorite part was when he said "may they rest in hell." I feel the same way.
Straight genious! Period.
The difference is, Popcorn is known and loved far and wide by many walks of life. No one knows -or cares- who the hell your old man even is.
He is guaranteed to deliver at least one memorable zinger of a line per vid.
@WildlifeSeriaLKiller what i dont understand is if he stopped making moonshine at the age of 61 why did the cops arrest him 3 years after he stopped all criminal activity...
R.I.P Popcorn
popcorn we luv you and always will!
Amen bro theres only so many of us left
A hero! nothing more, nothing less ...
he built the cabin, he built everything paid for everything on his own. a true american icon
Popcorn was a real man!
He should be living his retirement years, relaxing on the porch. They forced him into a situation where he felt he had no way out. The judge used him as an example and the judge should be ashamed of himself. It isn't and will never be right. The judge could've gave him house-arrest and probation but he thought it better to make an example that anyone caught moonshining in his county would face the same. It's alcohol for God's sake and nobody forced the people that purchased it to buy it.
a true American.
he was the last of the good ones. but you can damn sure bet there is some good ol boys in the hills doing there damn best to follow in this great mans foot steps.
one thing is guaranteed no matter if your trying to get ahead and ain't hurnt'n no body
your have a snitch close by. no matter what that's a snitch is a snitch pure plain and simple
He had cancer too, was a chain smoker, and had diabetes, so there was no way he would survive it anyway.
Mr. Popcorn....800 gallons is more than " a drink of liquor ".....In any case we all love you....R.I.P...
I'm 60 and could not touch this!
again,tyvm God be w/U & URS.
I tell you what ,that was the funniest thing I have heard in a long time 5:40
illegal priorities to deal with than an old man that lives in the woods in the middle of nowhere who isn't peddling crack, meth, or heroin. He sold liquor and because the government didn't get their hands on some of his money they essentially gave him the death penalty. It was completely wrong and disgusting what they did to this old man and that's coming from a police officer. In those same hill are people that make methamphetamine which ruins people and is highly toxic. But no lets get popcorn
This guy was awesome. HAH! Harder than a methodist ministers pecker. This IS America's history. Glad it's being told. r.i.p. Mr. Sutton.
i would vote for him befor most of them
hell fucking yes
@gc44atl Yea, I know how it went down. He'd still be alive today...
Like Mr Sutton said anybody that go after anybody for making liquor shame on them by their conscience if they have one bother them for the rest of their life for driving this old man to his grave rest in peace Mr Sutton I can't explain it I'm somehow drunk to Mr Sutton would have liked to met him
Pour some hot grease on that...that's some good eatin! U tell um Popcorn...We miss u...rip..
Ya know the guy that turned him in is reading this and shitting bricks. Snitchin about alcohol is the lowest of rats *wants her peach moonshine dammit*
would of liked to see how they got all that stuff up there
he was to old for that place he just didnt wanna go and he saw that as his way out
Skinny gut, but i guess he got strenght like a bear. Hard working guy :)
My grandpa used to make some licker in a 5gal bucket. Every one called it kick a boo koolade. Or block an tackle. Because if you take a drink it would tackle you before you could walk a block
He worked so hard and most probably died a poor man
More Keys oriented. At least someody knows what's up. God bless you.
Last Run Need You on Board
That's what I thought too!
how big do you think his thump keg is?...like how many gallons u think that small barrel holds?
10 or 15 gallons?
@Ratacon2004 ...No. He committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning to avoid going to prison.
Any one know who does this little tune? startin around 2 mins?
@WildlifeSeriaLKiller that is true.
sounds like foggy mountain breakdown
@WildlifeSeriaLKiller lead solder has been off the shelves about as long as lead based paint and lead pipes. im from bristol tenn come on down an we'll show yall how to shine!
yea i dont think hes going to use this spot, with a sign out front that says moonshiners nailed to the door.
He didn't wanna leave his home, his back was about to break, got cancer.
Did they make that shed, or was it just there???
You a miami boy? i sure love it there for the fishin.
@67DieHardPatriot454 lol..... not a helluva lot. Then again, he died at 64 and he was 61 at the time this was filmed.
Popcorn suffered a similar fate to Edarem. What a shitty justice system America has.
Does anybody know what yeast he used and what was his SG? thanks in-advance
@Proud PureBlood Thanks for that mate.
whats storebought taste like?
I see alot of people writting that he died at the age of 62 cause he drank moonshine or smoked cigarettes.I seen tons of people died that never made it to 60 years of age and they didn't smoke or drank moonshine. So who's to say what really killed him.
He killed himself in jail
got that right brother
so they went and checked out 4 spots, then they were like, well why don't we just use the spot where we already have a shack built and all our shit set-up, prob be a little easier that way
He wasn't confident he'd live through it, and he didn't want to die in prison, he wanted to die where he's lived all his life.
I read somewhere he had cancer and didn't know if he wud survive jail. Dont know if thats true.
whats the name of the song at 2:15
@Ratacon2004 he died cuz he killed his self in a car he sat in it while it kept runnin to avoid prison he had to turn his self in to do 18 months real good friend of mine miss you popcorn r.i.p

Well.. he did kill him self because of the prison sentence, but at the same time he had cancer, and would not have lived tho the prisons sentence.

lol thats the same thing i said
hahahaha ok then tough guy
@gc44atl another reason Ill never respect police, the law and anyone who helps them. If this truly were a free world we would be FREE to do what we please and this man would still be around, smokin, drinkin, and be spelin thingz rong! I can only hope to be half the liquor maker he was
@WildlifeSeriaLKiller he killed his self as the age of 62
"harder than a Methodist's minister's pecker" Popcorn, we love you.
these comments are stupid .. thats a real hard working solid man right there Rip Popcorn
Why is there a Jennifer Aniston video?
cant belive he killed himself for 2 yrs in prison he woulda been out in 1 and 1/2
This legend killed himself because of the government harassing him. What a shame that such a nice knowledgeable man must kill himself because of governmental harassment. If i was the authority that found him, I would have sat with the man and talked, I would have had him tell me his stories, and in the end i would have asked to try some of his product. Just a damn shame that good people must vanish yet murders must stay alive.
@sweetchuck47 Where did you see him using lead solder? This man lived a hard life. Looked like quality materials and skilled craftsmanship. You're calling people dumbasses. This man made enough shine to fill a fleet of 18 wheelers. That's how he paid his bills. FYI, the price difference between lead and lead free solder is extremely negligible. No one cares about how old your dad is. This is a documentary about Popcorn Sutton. Not your daddy, boy. Popcorn says fuck you.
oo this country aint shit.. he sent his lil taxes in and they still chargd him..
The United States Government killed a legend
of course he does the bible talks about jesus turning bread into wine haha
The one dislike was a liberal.
