Thankyou for actually explaining tNice tutorialngs. Other videos that I watched started talking about how to make soft and didn't ntion anytNice tutorialng
That's a good question. I should have explored that for this tutorial. Let me look into ways to build a savable transition effect and I'll create a tutorial if I find a good way. I do know that the animated mask could be copied from one project to another, but maybe there is a good way to quickly build everything out automatically each time you need it in a new project. Thanks for the question!! Love it. 🍻
vision tube i saw your comment and i immediately went to see windows movie maker to see what transitions are available and to my surprise, microsoft actually has a lot of transitions read with just one click of the button. i am scared and thinking to learn all the transitions that only premiere pro can do
Ryan, you can export the nested animated mask as a black and white video file, then import that video clip into your next project and all you have to do is add the track matte key.
Brilliant!! I tried it myself but the problem is after the transition ends, the rest of the clip continues with black borders, i tried adjusting the scale for the rest of the clip and still it didn't work, any advice?
Nice tutorial and channel. I was considering editing in Resolve but there are a few things that Premiere Pro can do better. For one thing Premiere Pro seems better equipped for editing blogs.
Yep. Create a new title and drag out a colored rectangle and then drag that into your timeline where I had placed the overlapping video (the video on the higher track) and follow the video just as I did in the video. It will work.
That's because he's using an "old" version of Premiere Pro. That's how "Titles" were created before they introduced the new "Essential Graphics" panel. You can find the old Title under "File/New/Legacy Title"
Thank you so much!!! It did work and took less than 5 minutes!
Beautiful description - thanks for lots of little tips about how you're doing the basic stuff in the backgound too.
Hey man, It works great and without any problems.
Nice. Thanks a lot actually. It worked, you explained it well.
Best tutorial, thank you very much
Great video! However, it does seem like a lot of steps so I wonder, can I save these masks and reuse them as templates for other projects? Thank you!
Hey! Why do you need to Nest the animated mask? What does this allow you to do? Thanks!

Is there a way to save that transition so you can drag and drop it into a future project instead of having to create it over and over?

I think the point of it was to show how to mask nested objects. Take the lesson and expand from it I believe is the point to be taken here.

Hey I’m using premiere 2018 and I can’t find “Title” under “New Item” would you happen to know where I can find that ?
I also don't see "Title" as an option under New Item. Scrolling through the rest of the comments, now...
Its called Legacy Title in CC 2018
it is hidden under the task bar menu on the left bottom of the page
what anti flicker option is used for??
Great tutorial! Thank you!
How do you do the effect but instead have it two different scenes instead of the same scene ??
Cool stuff, love ur content very much. Thanks!

I'm guessing this can be done with solid colours rather than two videos? Looking to make a custom transition to use on my Streams.
Yep. Create a new title and drag out a colored rectangle and then drag that into your timeline where I had placed the overlapping video (the video on the higher track) and follow the video just as I did in the video. It will work.
