im a fulltime detailer, in the middle of the job the client comes out and says "these scratches and damage werent here yesterday" basically insinuating i damaged her truck on the job. i replied i seen the damage there when i started i promised this was here. she then said "im not going to argue with you it wasnt here yesterday" i said mam i have no doubt it could have happened yesterday but there is paint transfer here you see this is from another vehicle. i then said were polishing the vehicle anyway. let me see if i can remove the damage, i removed 95 percent of the damage and after the job she said "im so sorry turns out my bf side swiped my truck when backing out" ive had a couple sleezy clients trying to blame old damage on me for gods knows what, maybe getting the job you just worked 5 hours in the hot sun for free? cant let people walk all over you in business the customer is not always right. anyway great work bro keep the vids coming!
I run heavy equipment I get blamed for every mailbox that gets run over in a 1000ft radius around my excavator 😅 Last one was a lady, same lady that backed up and unloaded a zero turn lawn mower from a trailer that she rented that day, right next to said mailbox, on the day the mailbox broke, with a skinny trailer tire track leading right up to it while I was working hundreds of feet down the road 😅 She told everyone in the neighborhood so I got a lot of paint and circled her tire marks like a crime scene and wrote on the road that it’s a skinny trailer tire and lawnmower tracks you could tell because she had the deck down 😅 didn’t hear from her after that. But for some reason her driveway grew a lot of rocks and potholes for the next two weeks, they were sprouting everytime we drove a machine past. And In the morning I would sneak the machine up to the window and wake em by banging the bucket on the ground a few times 😅 all the other neighbors got a free new gravel driveway out of the deal I was doing there except her. blame me for the mailbox she ran over herself that took the cake, luckily I can do what I want within the utility easement 😅
I work at a body shop. We take pictures of mileage when the car is dropped off. How much gas is in it. Document all the damage interior and exterior. Any lights on the dash. Somebody is always trying to get something for nothing. It's amazing. People will buy a car and never open the hood and check the dip stick, but picking it up from a body shop they'll bring a micrometer and magnifying glass 😂
Great video. I’ve been a truck driver for 28 years. I live down past Statesville North Carolina in a town called Mocksville and I drive about 500 miles a day and I usually come down to Asheville and hit 26 N. going to Johnson City Tennessee for delivery and 81 going back to Wytheville, then back down 77 in the Statesville so I come through those areas where you do a lot of work and live. But my fascination over the last five years has been in the grading business and I just love watching videos on people using skid, steers and heavy equipment and I came across your channel. I really love your work and your channel.
I do residential construction and home improvement and I recently had an old man question every step of replacing the hardy board siding on side of a house damaged by a storm. I told him to imagine I’m a chef in a restaurant and he orders a steak, I go in the back out the steak in a pan and start cooking it and before I can flip it over you are coming and pointing at the side I havnt flipped yet and telling me that side is raw you can’t eat it. If you keep doing that I’ll never be able to finish and you’ll never get your steak.
I tell guys this is my business, what you do affects my character and business.Still have those ppl that don’t understand that,or is looking to move in on your work cause they can’t get it on their own!I have this talk all the time brother
