Yeah... figured you have this reaction. Hideo Kojima always goes for abstract, artistic, and even surreal themes for his games, as evidenced by his past works like Metal Gear. Its largely successful for the most part, but given how out there it can be, Kojima's style of storytelling isn't for everyone, so keep that expectation in mind. If yo do end up wanting to explore his works in the future, be happy to experience them alongside you!
