This year have been so great for Switch, like we're still at the middle of the year and we already had some of the best titles of some franchises, 3D Kirby, Pokemon Legends Arceus, Xenoblade 3, soon Splatoon 3, BOTW 2 and Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, etc.
@ABjames This annoyed me a bit at first too but after playing awhile I realized even the small complaints you hear are overblown. The dungeons are a perfect 60fps, and the overworld is perfect like 90 percent of the time. And those few areas where it dips are really that distracting. Sure it’s a shame it couldn’t be perfect, but it’s such a miracle this game even exists, it’d be a pity to let a few dropped frames bum you out. It’s so fun and pretty, be happy! I’m just glad they at least targeted 60fps (fairly successfully). I’d rather have a wildly inconsistent game that hits 50-60fps consistently (LA is better) than a game locked at 30fps… which they could have justified and it would have probably still sold about the same. So… as picky as I usually am, I’m just happy they tried and got pretty close, with a super sharp resolution to boot. K I’m done ha, cheers!! 💚
A few of my favorites have been Smash Bros, Mario Odyssey, Animal Crossing and Mario Kart as well! Awesome games. Mario 3D All Stars is up there with those too, I love Mario games a lot.

Good list! The one game I recommend to everyone who will listen is Astral Chain, which is a top-5 game for me all time. It’s a new IP so it’s not a well-known one, but the majority of people who play it rave about it.
My personal favorites are Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Metroid: Dread. Also always love seeing a strong Sunshine advocate. 👍 It’s always been my favorite Mario game ever.

Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time. I think the books & games are different enough that finishing the game will not spoil the books. If you’re looking for another classic, similar, open world fantasy RPG, you’ve gotta try Skyrim. I played on PC but I hear the Switch port is fine.

@@audreylev I know. I don't want just micro and mini dungeons. I want the dungeons the rest of the series is known for, and BotW disappointed in that area for me. They're fine, but I'd rather do through a more complex dungeon than the Divine Beasts and Shrines.
I was debating putting it in my list! The Paper Mario games have always had a very special place in my heart and always will! Origami King was so so good I finished it in less than a week during lockdown!
I play smash bros all the time online with friends, and Zelda breath of the wild is my favorite game of all time! Kirby and the forgotten land was so outstanding! I can’t wait for you to play the Witcher 3 again. It’s my favorite game of all time! I’ve beaten it twice and started a 3rd play through. I’ve put over 400 hours into it and I’m still not bored with it!
My top 10, and some of them are short games but I thought they were great and I've 150 games now lol 😆 1- Monster hunter stories 2, I just love it. 2- pokemon shield, 3- lost in random 4-the last campfire 5- pokemon snap 6-smt 5 7- dragon quest 11 8- kingdom 2 crowns 9- omg BOTW SHOULD BE NUMBER 5, bump the rest down a spot. 10- brothers with a second player, its a short afternoon adventure with a friend :)
If you like open world etc i have a suggestion of an old game, that is having s bit of a revival right now due to a ‘shock’ sequel announcement. And if you haven’t guessed its Dragon’s Dogma. Wow that game is a real surprise at just how fun it is and how it really holds up despite its age. So so good. Must have IMO.
I would recommend trying or looking into Immortals Fenyx Rising. I've just started it and it's a nice open world with a more comedic and light hearted take on Greek mythology

You are so Nice to listen to. I am having a blast with 'songs of a Hero' and Mail mole. Highly reccomend both. Sadly, Switch games are very expensive in my country. I want to try Crash, Spiro, Kao, COROMON and New Super Lucky's Tale, but It Will Take some time.
This Xmas I’m just getting a Switch OLED for my daughter. So this video helped me pick out some games I think she’ll like. I’m trying to stick to games that SHE’LL like because I know the ones I’d like she might not be into…and it’s supposed to be her gift not mine. LOL! Still, I’ll probably get BOTW since I’ve been a Zelda fan for a long time.
I know I haven't gotten this game yet & I'm planning on getting it soon. But I'd recommend Pac-Man World Re Pac. It's such a fun game & I've played the OG Pac-Man World A LOT growing up. Regardless if you played it or not, you'll really love it & you'll wanna play it so many times again after that 1st time.
Imo the best Mario game is Galaxy 2, it was a little disappointment that they didn't include it, but for me it was the only one that i finished 100% so at least i had the chance to finish the other ones. Mario 64 alone brings up a lot of memories and is so chill and fun to play that i started a new game after finishing it the first time and i have +90 stars on it. It's a bit crazy but i even dreamt once that i was in a Twitch show explaining to people why Mario 64 is such a revolution in gaming and why Galaxy 2 is the best platformer ever. Other than that i also had the chance to finish Mario 3D World kinda 100% and i was proud of myself. I still have to beat all the levels with all the characters to do the actual 100%. Bowser's Fury is a nice addition. I liked Legends Arceus a lot too even though there is a lot to complain about. Other games would be Mario Odyssey of course and Octopath Traveler.
Kirby is and will always be my favorite!!!!!! :) Oh dark souls remastered try that one its good! Links awaking was wonderful oh and Animal Crossing NH!!!!

I also own a ps4 and I must admit I use it waaaay more than the switch, but I do take the switch everywere (yes, even school). Have you tried Dragons Dogma on switch? Also Darksiders one and two, both all on the card if you go physically, both excellent games. Darksiders 1 has kind of a Zelda vibe to it with the hack and slash of an old God of war game. Witcher 3 is in my top 3 favorite games of all time and I almost missed out on it. Played like 45 minutes years ago on the PS4 and set it aside, just couldn't get into it but ended up trying again months later and once it opened up, I was hooked.

The best things that I love about Sky-High Sundae is that they are filled with delicious sweets and desserts which are very reminiscent of Sweet Sweet Canyon, Tart Top from MKDS, Sugar Rush from Wreck-It Ralph, Sweet Mountain from Sonic Colors, and Cookie Land from MKDD. And for Waluigi Pinball, oh my god, many kids have been begging for that stage to be brought back because they had a major blast playing it back in the day. Also it’s very reminiscent of the Las Vegas neon light city, but also has touches on Electron Avenue from Crash Nitro Kart, Starlight Carnival from Sonic Colors, Nightside Rush from Sonic Riders, Sega Illusion also from Sonic Riders, Stardust Speedway from Sonic CD, Star Light Zone from Sonic 1, Spring Yard Zone also from Sonic 1, Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2, Bingo Highway from Sonic Heroes, Twinkle Park from Sonic Adventure, Pinball Highway, Roulette Road, both from All-Stars Racing, Casinopolis from Sonic Adventure, Casino Park from Sonic Heroes, all Rainbow Roads from Mario Kart, Rainbow Coaster from Mario Kart Arcade, and Studiopolis from Sonic Mania.
It’s so hard to choose a favourite course in MK8 Deluxe for me right now! Some of my favourite courses aren’t on it, but I do live the new courses they’ve been adding in Wave 1 & 2!
Personally Splatoon 2 is on my list right now but most likely going to get replaced soon with Splatoon 3. Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak DLC is also one I'm playing so much.

i mean I think they sorta replaced dungeons with the shrines and divine beast puzzles in botw

Mario Galaxy is my 2nd favorite game of all time, only game I prefer is Persona 5 Royal.

Spyro 2: Riptos Rage is one of my favorite games ever, and the remake is just as good, if not better. Glad to hear it get some attention!
I can’t wait for you to play the Witcher 3 again. It’s my favorite game of all time! I’ve beaten it twice and started a 3rd play through. I’ve put over 400 hours into it and I’m still not bored with it!

If you like open world etc i have a suggestion of an old game, that is having s bit of a revival right now due to a ‘shock’ sequel announcement. And if you haven’t guessed its Dragon’s Dogma. Wow that game is a real surprise at just how fun it is and how it really holds up despite its age. So so good. Must have IMO.
I would recommend trying or looking into Immortals Fenyx Rising. I've just started it and it's a nice open world with a more comedic and light hearted take on Greek mythology
I hated the goofy narration but I loved everything else. Highly recommended.

This Xmas I’m just getting a Switch OLED for my daughter. So this video helped me pick out some games I think she’ll like. I’m trying to stick to games that SHE’LL like because I know the ones I’d like she might not be into…and it’s supposed to be her gift not mine. LOL!
Still, I’ll probably get BOTW since I’ve been a Zelda fan for a long time.
I know I haven't gotten this game yet & I'm planning on getting it soon. But I'd recommend Pac-Man World Re Pac. It's such a fun game & I've played the OG Pac-Man World A LOT growing up. Regardless if you played it or not, you'll really love it & you'll wanna play it so many times again after that 1st time.

Imo the best Mario game is Galaxy 2, it was a little disappointment that they didn't include it, but for me it was the only one that i finished 100% so at least i had the chance to finish the other ones. Mario 64 alone brings up a lot of memories and is so chill and fun to play that i started a new game after finishing it the first time and i have +90 stars on it. It's a bit crazy but i even dreamt once that i was in a Twitch show explaining to people why Mario 64 is such a revolution in gaming and why Galaxy 2 is the best platformer ever.
Other than that i also had the chance to finish Mario 3D World kinda 100% and i was proud of myself. I still have to beat all the levels with all the characters to do the actual 100%. Bowser's Fury is a nice addition.
I liked Legends Arceus a lot too even though there is a lot to complain about.
Other games would be Mario Odyssey of course and Octopath Traveler.
Galaxy 2 is easily the best Mario game ever.
Kirby is and will always be my favorite!!!!!! :)

I was so shocked to see spyro on here because It used to be all I played on my ps2 whenever my siblings wanted to play I said NO I was like 5 and I beat the game recently whenever I got the trillogy
I've had my switch for just a month and a half and I've been playing Animal Crossing and minecraft (just bc I don't have any other games). I also own a ps4 and I must admit I use it waaaay more than the switch, but I do take the switch everywere (yes, even school).
I REALLY want splatoon 3 (I've never played any splatoon game, but damn it is soooo expensive xc)

Have you tried Dragons Dogma on switch? Also Darksiders one and two, both all on the card if you go physically, both excellent games. Darksiders 1 has kind of a Zelda vibe to it with the hack and slash of an old God of war game. Witcher 3 is in my top 3 favorite games of all time and I almost missed out on it. Played like 45 minutes years ago on the PS4 and set it aside, just couldn't get into it but ended up trying again months later and once it opened up, I was hooked.

Check out Hades, Celeste + The Messenger. Amazing games and you can get all three of those for less than an Nintendo title.

Say, Leikavee? I want to know what your favorite course in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is? Mine would be Sky-High Sundae and Waluigi Pinball. The best things that I love about Sky-High Sundae is that they are filled with delicious sweets and desserts which are very reminiscent of Sweet Sweet Canyon, Tart Top from MKDS, Sugar Rush from Wreck-It Ralph, Sweet Mountain from Sonic Colors, and Cookie Land from MKDD. And for Waluigi Pinball, oh my god, many kids have been begging for that stage to be brought back because they had a major blast playing it back in the day. Also it’s very reminiscent of the Las Vegas neon light city, but also has touches on Electron Avenue from Crash Nitro Kart, Starlight Carnival from Sonic Colors, Nightside Rush from Sonic Riders, Sega Illusion also from Sonic Riders, Stardust Speedway from Sonic CD, Star Light Zone from Sonic 1, Spring Yard Zone also from Sonic 1, Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2, Bingo Highway from Sonic Heroes, Twinkle Park from Sonic Adventure, Pinball Highway, Roulette Road, both from All-Stars Racing, Casinopolis from Sonic Adventure, Casino Park from Sonic Heroes, all Rainbow Roads from Mario Kart, Rainbow Coaster from Mario Kart Arcade, and Studiopolis from Sonic Mania.

I am loving Xenoblade Chronicles 3 right now. I think it's one of the top games on the Switch since its launch. Other XC titles are just as great.
