Have been using lightroom since 2022 for occassional photo editings, this is the first tutorial I watched on lightroom and I love the fact that my editing style is pretty much similar to yours (didn't knew about the histogram and color curve tho XD)
you're an excellent communicator! well done. I don't need another video; it's all there. Thank you. just need to learn the Subscription features e.g. masking, etc.
Nicely done Zac. I’ve been using Lr since it was in public beta couple decades ago. I started using Raw format even earlier. A few days ago I was frustrated by the lack of shadow recovery available from my iPhone HEIC files and started looking into getting raw files from my phone, of course Adobe made it available in Lr Mobile. Have looked at many videos on the topic and this is one of the best I’ve seen so far. I would add that if you use the pro feature (paid version only?) you can also take control of ISO which really allows access to the full power of raw file editing. Keep up the good work.
Another useful point is about the export. You just glossed over this part showing a JPEG export. This is fine, but if you hold down the export button you will see that there are a number of formats that you can use for export. As well as the standard JPG Format, saving a DNG is extremely useful because that saves the Lightroom file with all of its changes embedded. That means if you open up that same DNG file later, or your settings are still there so that you can modify them again. This can be very useful to avoid using up your Adobe storage since it allows you to delete Lightroom images at well, knowing you can simply load them up again. I work from iOS photos all the time and I keep three photos of the same image. Image one is the original camera image, image two is the exported JPEG and image three is the Lightroom DNG. They all cluster together due to the timestamp so you can find them all very easily and simply put the JPEG into a photo album for normal viewing.
This was an awesome video. Just edited one of my first photos and it turned out great! I have a long way to go but this helped me a ton. So far it's the best help I have found. Thank you!
You didn’t mention the front and back arrow at the top of the screen. This takes you back one step or forward one step allowing you to see the effect of a change you’ve just made. It’s the cumulative as well, the more changes you make the further back you can roll them if you need.
You are the only one that can help thank you for this video can you please do more videos on learning more about editing photos I am a beginner and I am learning so much from you
Thank you for this! Been using the subscription version of LR Mobile for a year & some of the details in your video helped a lot. ❤ ... Wish Facebook would retain the quality after we spend the time to edit them when we upload there. Seems like we get the "Wish" version of our photos~😜
Video helped a ton, just getting into photography and color grading has always seemed daunting. This simple version and explanation made it make more sense!
So how come I’m using pretty much everything except the fancy AI stuff for free? Did the free trial, cancelled the subscription, still using Lr…! Did they change something recently?
Hey Zac, I’m a beginner and my question is if you recommend editing in hdr mode and if so, how can I downloaded with full quality to my phone, bc when I download the image it changes how it looks
Nice tutorial, I am about to buy the premium on mobile. Could you please tell me how this 'Sync/Cloud backup works? Does it backup all photos in my phone or just the photos which are imported to the app?
Awesome Video mate. please can you cover the premium side of things too? Also you can change the saturation and hue of the color grading menu easily if you just tap the '
Is Lightroom free all the time? Because I’ve read so many comment of people that it’s only a 7 days free trial and after that you have to take premium subscription. But the internet is saying that it’s a free app but that you can get access to more tools and presets when you get premium. I’m on a low budget now and cannot afford a premium subscription. I don’t really care for the presets and more tools, as long as I can use the auto, light, color, effect and detail option for free, than I’m cool with it. But please let me know if I can still use the app after the 7 days trial.
So you probably don't go back and check comments from a year ago. New to lightroom but not new to photography. This is very good. But you go way too fast in my opinion. And this seems to be different from what I got on the introductory version which is now $4.99 per month. Thanks.
This is not everything I need to know. If you are going to advertise "everything you need to know" show us how to manipulate the catalog and move to certain images. I am stuck with just pictures. how do I get back to the full catalog? that's what I need to know.
I literally came for the masking part 😭

Don’t put 2024 in a video that’s 2 years old. There’s no free parts of Lightroom Mobile anymore.
Cope
try "lighroom mobile tutorial after:2023"
So how come I’m using pretty much everything except the fancy AI stuff for free? Did the free trial, cancelled the subscription, still using Lr…! Did they change something recently?
Great tutorial. Thanks! Where can I find another video that explains the paid features like masking?

Nice tutorial, I am about to buy the premium on mobile. Could you please tell me how this 'Sync/Cloud backup works? Does it backup all photos in my phone or just the photos which are imported to the app?
Sorry I'm late but it means all the photos yiu have added in lightroom and it syncs it across all of the devices you have log in with your account!
This really helped♥📸
Is it better to shoot apple pro raw? Thanks
Can we use this app for strophotography too?
Awesome Video mate. please can you cover the premium side of things too?
Also you can change the saturation and hue of the color grading menu easily if you just tap the '
Looks like a great tutorial. Unfortunately, I only have the free version of Lightroom mobile. This one looks like the Premium version?
When I imported some photos from an SD card a few of the thumbnails were blank. Do you know how to fix this?
Which format should i be shooting in if i plan to edit the photos in Lr? Heif max or Raw / ProRaw?
Raw.
Great! 😊
How do you transfer your raw photo from your camera into Apple Tablet ?
Airdrop, iCloud, Google Drive
Can you help me to unlock my premium features? I purchased the premium version but when I’m in my app I don’t have the premium features. Please thanks
Is there a way to mimic Pixelmator Photo's Super Resolution but on Lr for iPad?
Idk about that but texture, clarity and sharpen and also some color correction also help to improve the quality
What are your exact export settings?
For lightroom mobile? I have a short for that!
Can I see the short
Amazing can u plz shoot 1 video on travel video editing
What exactly would you like to see?

So this is the free version of Lightroom? What comes in the paid version of Lightroom?
No raw editing without paying.
Wait why do you have so many more editing tabs on the bottom I only have about 5 things on the bottom
I am unable to get WHITE color while using hues and colors option. I am trying to change the color of a tshirt by masking. 😢 Can anyone help plz ?
Sir I need to talk with you personally
How come mine is always a jpeg file? How do I switch to raw?
I don’t know how to get a raw file into my phone…🙃
Is there any way to use it for free?
I can't find the app can you tell the name
Lightroom?

did not show us how to transfer an image

Hey, uh, you don't even show the app!
The video is online since two years and it said 2024 👀👀
Imo, it looks weird to have the Lightroom on the side. Maybe try making it bigger or more towards the middle.
That’s not really something I can change now is it…
Downvoted because you put 2024 on a 2 year old video. Do better.
same
Thanks man
