I am a Kiwi that did a 7 year stint in Brisbane Australia. There are a lot of pros and cons, too many to discuss here, wages are higher in Aus but there is also a ton of hidden costs seldom discussed, NDIS & Medicare which are so called surcharges, toll roads up the wazoo, AU$750 per car rego where its like $120 in NZ etc. I make good money in either country working in a higher level IT job so money has never been a deciding factor. I prefer NZ weather (Christchurch) simply because of more defined seasons, winters are not overly harsh and summer's are usually pretty good. Nothing like jumping in the spa on a cold CHCH clear night and spotting satellites or the ISS going over head. Some of my preference for CHCH could be put down to liking a small city over a medium sized one like Brisbane, and not so much one country vs another perhaps.

You are doing an amazing job Anna thank you for your information! I would also like your Podcast, I mostly listen only anyways! Have a great time in New Zealand! I would love to spend time there and am wondering if that could be a place to live for me and my two teenager children one day soon. We are living in Switzerland now. But I am not using much of the cultural and life out because it is too crowded everywhere. I like freedom, peace, lonelyness, simplicity and healthy enviroment. Warmly, Tatiana

I like the visual podcast and listening to accent,
or maybe you could post a backdrop of your pictures from your hometown?
I do not drive a car so that reduces my cost of living, i rent a studio apartment,
and we have the wall heater going. I do not pay an electric bill.

Norway is an extremely rich country due to the oil it owns, that's why they are not part of the EU as they are pretty strong and don't need anyone. put In a simple way

Thank you for sharing Anna. New Zealand sounds absolutely wonderful.
Can you tell me do they have any crime in New Zealand?

Crime was the main reason we left New Zealand. Armed gangs run the streets in NZ and are totally under the government 's protection and ram raids are also a daily occurance, not to mention the massive drug problem

HI, thank you for the video! How have you found the adverse weather conditions in New Zealand?
We only see so much on the news here, so was wondering if you could advise which areas in New Zealand which are more flood risk/ experience a lot of flooding due to poor draining etc. Thanks

Hi there, uff, the weather in NZ is definitely intense, but it shouldn't be something hindering you from moving here. If you are buying a home, just check the safety for a specific location, if you are renting, it's not your worry. For locations, it seems like floods are very sporadic and it's hard to predict anything. The safest place regarding floods might be central Otago, but they have been seen even over there. Maybe someone can comment on this.
