In second grade I told a kid I didn’t wanna be his friend and when he started crying the teacher made me apologize to him. This fucked with me because I was just being honest with him and I was essentially getting in trouble for something that early elementary school teachers are alway preaching is the RIGHT thing to do. Another time I got in trouble was in fourth grade. I was writing in my journal and the girl next to me started trying to read it over my shoulder so I closed it and tried putting it away but the girl started trying to rip it out of my hands. When she finally got it, she opened it up and started reading it out loud. I remember thinking, “Okay, you wanna read it so badly,” and I put my hand on the back of the journal and jammed it in her face. Looking back I think she old enough to know better than to steal someone’s stuff and I was old enough to know that it’s not alright to hurt someone. What pisses me off is that the full blame fell on me when I think we both should have gotten punished.
Can relate to the first one, I got asked by a kid in first grade whether he or one of my closest friends was my best friend, so I chose my close friend. Later on this kid was crying and straight-up lied to the teacher that I said I wasn't his friend. Stressing kids to be friends with everyone has probably ended in so many bad relationships, school sent so many bad messages when they were trying to be good.

The way that Julien talks gives me such bad flashbacks because it reminds of when I was a kid and would ask my dad what was for dinner and he would say "food." What kind of food? "Good food." What are you making though? "Dinner." But what are you making for dinner? "Food." Infuriating. 😂
In second grade I told a kid I didn’t wanna be his friend and when he started crying the teacher made me apologize to him. This fucked with me because I was just being honest with him and I was essentially getting in trouble for something that early elementary school teachers are alway preaching is the RIGHT thing to do.
Another time I got in trouble was in fourth grade. I was writing in my journal and the girl next to me started trying to read it over my shoulder so I closed it and tried putting it away but the girl started trying to rip it out of my hands. When she finally got it, she opened it up and started reading it out loud. I remember thinking, “Okay, you wanna read it so badly,” and I put my hand on the back of the journal and jammed it in her face. Looking back I think she old enough to know better than to steal someone’s stuff and I was old enough to know that it’s not alright to hurt someone. What pisses me off is that the full blame fell on me when I think we both should have gotten punished.
Can relate to the first one, I got asked by a kid in first grade whether he or one of my closest friends was my best friend, so I chose my close friend. Later on this kid was crying and straight-up lied to the teacher that I said I wasn't his friend. Stressing kids to be friends with everyone has probably ended in so many bad relationships, school sent so many bad messages when they were trying to be good.

I feel that, my beagle has picked up the habit of screaming and yelling for attention like all the time. Outside? Screaming. Toy? Screaming. Sees self in the window? SCREAMING. Mom is wearing make up and leaving for work? SCREAMMMMMMM
