Love the reviews. Not sure if you’ve done this yet, but could you try it in a Losi LMT? I just got an LMT roller and I’m looking at getting this combo. Thanks I’m advance!
How did the esc and motor handle the additional weight from your scx6? I'm guessing with the Vitavon parts its definitely heavier than stock? Btw how much does the scx6 weigh?
Hey Exo I just recently got a Max6 1650kv combo and put it in my Kraton 6s with Katars, having some issues getting the same speed as the stock setup without overheating. Do you think the max8 g2 combo is better in an 1/8 truck vs a geared up 1650kv combo?
Not sure if he’ll answer you, so I will. Yes. If you want to get at least the same top speed as it had with the original electronics, then you probably need a higher Kv motor. Every motor/vehicle combination has an ideal gearing that creates a balance between speed and temperature. So while you can safely run a higher gearing with the 1650kv motor than you could with the stock 2000-2200kv motor, the 1650kv motor’s ideal gearing most likely won’t get it up to the same top speed as the stock equipment. 1900-2200kv tends to be the sweet spot for 1/8 buggies and truggies. And let’s face it; The Kraton is just a beefed up truggy :)
@@TranceFur Well it took enough time and I already found the answer out myself through some experimentation, I went from Katars to Backflips keeping the same 20t/50t setup, and it was absolutely bonkers. Couldn't keep the wheels down after about half throttle on punch 1, however with a 17t I was able to achieve the same speed I was able to on the stock setup with a 15t pinion! Also it was a ton more tame. Runs a little hot but I have a nice heatsink coming in. Also - this combo still ran cooler than the old combo did before I added better fans to the esc/motor.
@@TranceFur Honestly with some gear ratio tuning, a nice fan, this setup seems to far exceed the power output capable if the stock system, although a ton more weight...
crawling nah trail fun oh man its perfect with the punch and power a nd no drag brake,!! settings are perfect!!
The perfect all round rc you built
Hell yeah, that combo is bad ass!!!!
Dang it EXO!!!! Now I want this system but I'm going to need a Scx6 to put it in!!!!🤣🤣🤣 Time to build up the garage fund again!!!

I would like to see the max4 with the 3brc outrunner to see if it's quite compared to the castle
HI JOE THANKS FOR SHARING SIR,🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤩👍🏼

Would go great in the kraton 6s
Oh oh no it was AWESOME!!!!! Now it's 12s time 🤣🤣🤣🤣
good to see the out-runner gone... it was like nails on a chalkboard
Thought this could replace the stock SCX6 esc. Do any of the new hobbywing esc's have a crawl mode? I don't really want to use a castle esc.
Maybe but it won't be right and I have yet to see a G2 have a crawler mode
Will you put some traxxas maxx 3.8 paddles on the rear and pull some wheelies 😆
Hallo is there nothing broken with this power? Greets from Germany Andreas
