I really like this bike, looks ideal for city commuting. The big drawback for me is I live in a flat so have nowhere either at home or work to plug in, and as you mentioned on your last video, the battery is not easy to remove for charging in my home. The extra torque at take off transforms 50cc bikes. Recently was able to up the fuel supply to my Honda Zoomer (fuel injected) and it has transformed it. For me initial acceleration is far more important in a 50cc than increasing top speed.
For someone of my age. Brought up on a Diet of 2 strokes,to say i'm interested is a million miles. Are electric motors the future? possible. Batteries are the problem, range and charge times.
I feel like right now - battery-charge stations like they do in China - is the best way. So the idea is that you have an easy-to-swap battery and lots of charging stations for 100+ batteries. You park your scooter, put off the battery, put inside charging station, take a 100% charged and continue your trip! All can be done in about 5 minutes :) P.S. Heard, they had plans to do same for Tesla car batteries - e.g. whole battery swap stations.
These are great things for cetain situations and if fit in to your own situation then it's a win win. The main thing that i don't like about electric transportation is that they are virtually silent especially bike's and if your on small housing estates and some kids are about and run out into the road thinking it's safe as they have not heard anything then i'm afraid there will be a few more pedestrian casualty's. I think that they should make some sort of sound just to let people know of their presence, bring back the lollypop stick in the spokes ; )
lol i think they said the same thing when the car was thirst brought out lol we will have to adapt and the electric car nothing happened with that iver
Regarding allowing to discharge to 10% and toping it up to 100% for the best lifecycle. This isn't the case. Top it up as many times as you like from any capacity level. Leaving at least 20% capacity (or more) in the battery and then topping up to 80% would be the kindest on the battery. The top speed is restricted within the controller, it's not yet clear if this controller is programmable but the bike is certainly capable of more speed with the current motor/controller/battery setup. I would guess unrestricted top speed would be around 40mph. Also definitely scope to put more volts and/or amps through the motor, so it will be interesting if people start to replace the batteries and controllers.
Aparantlu someone from america said this bike is avalable derestricted there and it will do 47mph in regaredt to the batterys the storage voltage should be no more than 80% but i still stand by the battery cycle maintanance i have allways done it like this with my lithium batterys and they most of the times go over the recomended amount of cycles
Phones, drills, ebikes, anything with a lithium battery will last longer if you dont go below 20-30%, obvs sometimes u need to, but doing that on a daily basis will wear out much sooner. Keep it between 30 - 80% and it will last twice as long. And dont leave it in a hot shed in summer.
@@Ridingreviews turn the bike on, twist the throttle while holding the brake and then hold the key in ignition for 5 seconds i believe that de restricts it. do the same again to restrict

Hey Chris I’m planning on getting my bike a few weeks before My 16th will I be able to buy it or do I have to be 16 ( I won’t be riding it beacuse I won’t have a licence ) just curious
I dont entirely understand the market for this bike. There are Pedal E-Bicycles out there that do 26-30mph. The range may not be the same but on the upside you dont need to insure a pedal bike, wear biker gear, do a cbt, adhere to the same road rules as a motorcycle and when you run out of range youve got pedals as a backup. This bike seems a little pointless to me, certainly in its restricted mode
yes there are bikes that will go 26 to 30 mph but they are not legal in the UK an electric bike is supposed to be restricted to 15.5mph and also all ebike are supported to be peddle assist only no throttle control but again you can get them it is the same with most laws in the UK the police have the choice to enforce them or not most bike and ebike laws are not widely enforced more in London than anywhere
wow what to say to that did you try contacting lexmoto directly it wont actually be the battery that is fucked it will be the bms witch is the battery management system if they wont replace it under warranty i would suggest finding an electrical engineer who can take a look as the repair may only cost £200 ware as the replacement battery will cost £1500
Eerily silent. Not sure I will ever get used to it nice video Chris. I think they should at least make some sound blind people are really going to be put in real danger.
Been looking forward to your riding video. Love that initial acceleration, what a difference that makes. Be really interested to see what it does when you find out how it’s derestricted. New controller I suppose.
I have seen the gubbins in this and I think you are right new controller some of the more expensive ones have a USB stick to derestrict them but these are the cheaper ones
Riding reviews I’ve seen people tuning this bike in America where it’s the csc city slicker , but think it might have a different motor and battery for that market.
ive had mine for 5 mths done 1800 miles and no sign of any battery degradation.im 13st and had 48mph on the flat and 44 uphill .it will piss over any 50cc petrol on acceleration
