Totally feel you on the zero goals for 2025. You are absolutely spot on about the importance of building an in-person community. I'm feeling more and more anxiety as 2025 approaches. Times are scary, but we will get through this together. Love you, friend!
You know I’m here for low stress and low pressure! Just do what you can do next year. 2025 is filled with enough unknowns and stress that there’s no need to make our fun things stressful on top of it all. 💜💜💜
Yesss no goals! I like your vibe! I mean I love a good goal but I’m no where near as energized to take on a new year as I was last year, between work and the state of our crumbling society. I always love your content but I definitely agree - in person community is so so important. 💜💜
Did you say 250 books for this year? 😮 That is amazing. But I can definitely see the benefit of reducing that significantly and taking the pressure off. Same with planning a tbr at the beginning of the year - things change so it's good to just go with the flow throughout the year. All the best to you with your real life community activities. That sounds like something that has become real important to you. I'm sure you'll get a lot out of whatever you decide to do. I hope you have some time to relax over Christmas and best wishes to you for 2025 🙂
I support your goal of zero goals!!! Less stress is always the way to go! I'm bummed that you have so much less time because of work :( That sounds so stressful - I hope it gets better soon!
For the banned books idea it would be interesting to maybe see the #1 banned book in each state and maybe a related vlog of a few that spark your interest.
I’m right there with you. I’m determined to live life and take it one day at a time from here on out. lol! Lofty goals for hobbies are no longer my jam. 😅🤗🖤
Not filling your year with goals and just seeing what happens sounds very fun and liberating, tbh! I know 2025 feels scary and uncertain but I wish you the best and hope you have a good one 🖤 Looking forward to hearing what banned books you end up loving!
I might suggest what the Reading Glasses podcast does. Every year they put out reading goals but it's about activities and specific books. This year, they did ones like read outside, read a buzzy book, read a book set in a place you've never been. I read slow so those kind of goals are more my speed.
I find it extremely difficult to find time to film videos, so I totally get where you’re coming from, Katrina. I feel like I’m always behind. 🤪😂 Happy New Year! 🎊
I'm definitely going to be escaping into my books even more while also saying I want to read less. The numbers are great but as I'm trying to think of what wowed me this year, I'm kind of struggling.
I remember Amy Goodman way back around 2000 or so doing great work regarding East Timor, well before it gained independence from Indonesia. At the time I was covering it all I could in our small newspaper. I still don't know if she realizes the Timorese are a conservative Catholic people 😸😆 but she seemed to care only that they were oppressed and needed help and that hardly anyone was covering that story, so she was there may God bless her 👍
I love your videos and honesty im not much of a planner either your shirt and hair are very today hope you have a good Christmas its been weird for me! 📚 💜
I'm thinking of just having The Reaper Book Club on my Instagram as well! Which is linked in my bio! 👻

I did 100 books for 2024 and legit like you...I only read like 11 hahahahaha.
Very very true about physical community stuff.
Great video!
I love this idea! I’m glad you made a video talking about it!!
Because reading is my hobby, I feel like “goals” just take away from the enjoyment!
🖤✨👏

Sometimes it's better to go headlong into something.

I love this!
You don't need to answer all the storygraph questions when leaving a review, I only put the rating and that's okay 😊
My only goal is to read a lot of gay reads and I have like one series I keep not reading and I just want to make time for that as something fun
