One of the things I love about Nick is how raw he is. All of the artists on your channel are raw, but Nick has a certain level of punk rawness that is just so honest and real and it keeps me coming back for more. There's nothing between me and his voice, between me and his feelings, between me and the lyrics, it's just so raw. Thanks Nick and thanks to y'all for capturing this
punk? Hombre this is how most singing used to be period, hell specifically the 1920's folk he inflects upon regularly in his vocals. Ya'll need to learn yer history before its forgotten for good
@@victorkreig6089 is your implication simply that because something predates punk it's not punk? Because like, I LOVE jazz music and Bebop Jazz predates punk but to me Bebop is punk as fuck. I don't really see your point. Stop gatekeeping
@@lashermayfair0 i have to admit, I wasn't overly impressed with Sierra's appearance there last year. I'm not old-school country (to say the least!) and although I'm aware of the grand ole opry and the place it holds in some people's memories, I don't think people like Sierra, Nick, Ben Tod, Jason Dea West etc. really need it
@jimo9555 no they definitely don't need it! It's a relic, and youtube is a much bigger stage than the Opry. I just thought it was a good place to throw in that line from Hank 3 lol

Just got to see Nick live recently and it is absolutely one of my favorite live shows I've ever been to. The banter, the whistlin', the tunes, the jokes...the mullet.
I saw Nick live about 3 weeks ago. I’ve easily been to 200+ concerts in my life and Nicks show was easily top 10 ever. The man has an absolutely infectious presence and his raw talent is mesmerizing to see in person. Words can’t describe how happy I am to live in a time where I can listen to Nick Shoulders.
Lemme know if it happens I wanna be there never been would love to see em there ! And furthermore 100 dollars says he winds the united states whistle competition if they ever have 1 lol !
I half expected a gator to come out of the shadows while he was playing Luckily for Nick the music's so good the gator would probably just stop and listen
I grew up in AR, just 45 minutes from Faytown, it brightens my soul to know at least someone in this state is making a statement, like ol Johnny Cash did in his days.
I discovered Mr shoulders a little over a year ago, every time I listen to his voice it brings me back to when I started that chapter in my life, out of school going into my first job, losing most of my friends and making new ones thank you for the music bud
I'm still relatively new to country having been introduced to Nick, Sierra and Ben Tod about four or five years ago. They're all crazy talented writers, musicians and lyricists and up there with the best from any genre I've ever listened to...but in terms of a pure country voice alone, for me it's Jason Dea West ... especially on _Lone Wolf_ and _Pray for Breath_

Man I met you outside of a motel in Jackson, Tennessee. Saw you packing up your guitar on the way out and I hollered at ya cuz I play too(talked about fingerstyle). Didn't know you were big time like this. Wish I could have learned a few tricks from you. Good stuff bro! Blues ✌. Subscribed...I'll be checking you out. 👍
So cool to know ya looked up the tunes bud, wish we coulda talked more blues!
