God bless and protect all miners 😀

Please make a video on St. John's Colliery, Coegnant Colliery, Caerau Colliery, Avon Colliery, Garth Tonmawr, Cwm Colliery, Duffryn Rhondda Colliery and Coedely Colliery. Al, my family worked in these pits and it would mean a lot to me if you mads a video about them, thank you

I would like to make a video of those collieries where your family worked, do you have any photos of them and your family when they worked at them? other wise I could scout around on the internet for some photos.

Lovely song. While the price of coal was high much of that was due to poor safety as an attitude from top down. Modern safety e.g. in Aviation and Petroleum two inherently dangerous industries have enviable safety records. A large part was top down too lack of regulation. Its also sad that the industry and jobs have gone too it was a culture and provided many jobs - now Steel in Port Talbot also going. (I used to work at that Steelworks). I remember seeing several collieries in Merthyr as a kid and visiting an auntie across the valley and several times an hour a load moaning sound as the pit was working and the winding house would operate (I think it was Merthyr Vale). As a kid I remember loads of mines and many of these here, but by the time I left school they were all gone.
