Since Minecraft Legacy Console Edition was so well loved by many including me, I decided to find the best mods and resource packs to make a tutorial showing how to make minecraft java look like legacy console edition (aka the old Minecraft Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U and Nintendo Switch versions)

The Legacy4J mod blows this video out of the water, it's almost identical to the original version!
I really want to have the old crafting system, It really brings nostalgia for some reason.
Yeah, I really wish Mojang would just give us native controller support for java and give us that crafting system

@@PepperMarioYT no 4jlegacy is the most amazing mod its a complete replica of console edition it has the old creative gui and the old survival crafting gui and everything even the only menus

I’m unsure if you’ve heard of a newer mod called “Legacy 4j”, but it’s actively in development and _very_ good from what I’ve seen.
Is there a way to make the bedrock version look like the legacy console edition?

thank you so much! xbox 360 edition is my favourite version of Minecraft because of the nostalgia. the only thing we need now is a console crafting mod and we're set. also I love your world, remind me of the classic days where everything looks simple (in a good way). also I thought the intro part was in xbox edition lol
I know, console crafting is the only thing holding it back lol
Legacy console was mostly a port of java, so i feel its easy to make it look and feel like the original console edition
With mods, you can even create the original limited world sizes, that and fixing the UI with mods/texture packs, you can make java edition just like legacy console
Also, you forgot one important thing
Classic textures
Legacy console is not legacy console with new textures
90% of legacy console's life was with the old textures
i am about to spend a super long time making java as close as xbox360 as possible.

I really loved the legacy edition's soft saturated looking and this video helped me to get the looking back to my java minecraft. Thanks!

no offense but if i played a game where i'd drink a shot of rum every time you said "um", I'd get alcohol poisoning within 5 minutes. Good video though it's very useful.

I Would recommend to use Rubidium and oculus instead of optifine
and for fabric sodium and iris

the paper doll mod does a better job of rendering the "mini player"
im not sure what's going on but my shaders look like the internal shaders from optifine with the shaderpack

controllable keeps making my game crash, with and without any mods installed, with and without a controller connected, any reason why?
also (idk if this happened to you), the title screen isnt like the old editions look, the buttons are still the same, same position and the panorama isnt working, its just a dirt background (with the resource pack enabled) :(
That's super strange. Maybe it's a bug with forge? I know the version matters a lot

Not for 1.19 as far as I know, and none of them have the crafting from console which is really the only major thing I feel is missing when it comes to inventory stuff (not world settings or commands etc.)

whenever i use the shaders, the blocks i hold and my skin is all gray, im on 1.20.1 if that helps. any fix?
Using Sodium and Nvidium might help as opposed to optifine. Optifine is quickly becoming outdated anyway, they don't come up with updates super often. You need an Nvidia graphics card for Nvidium to do anything but it helps with transparency/translucency issues

Why is forge crashing i have verified optifine and i also have the controlable mod and it crashes
I think they updated the controllable mod due to some background problems so you need the newest version of Forge (41.0.94 or newer)
How do you get the raised up hotbar?
It's a setting in the controllable mod

Theres a mod that makes everything look like bedrock edition but that's the only other way i know
I cant install controllable for some reason. It wont open
If you're using fabric then it wont allow you to. It's a forge mod.
If not, you're using the incorrect version of the mod.

There's multiple ways to get optifine, make sure you put the standalone version in the mod folder, not the installer

You should make your own custom media fire link (for free) just of the shader you show in the video. I have a feeling people in the future will try this and the planetminecraft link won’t be working anymore
