Just started watching your channel, Loved the ones at the Springfield Illinois show. Learning more and more. Funny to see this video with Dan Torres. I made a take with him about 4 years ago. I sent him 5 Crazy Crawlers, 4 newer (unfished) and one older wooden one with a bit of a ding on it. He sent me a broken tad fry and 4 old rusty junk baits. I was kinda new to the game and didn't know better. Glad to know in a small way I helped with his collection. LOL
It’s cool to see D get a chance to show a wider group his collection and some Heddon history. I know I personally have been lucky to have met D as a new collector and continue to learn more everyday.
I had dozen or more of the of O's I saw in your boxes. We fishing at a dock, prefishing for a tournament, went to buy a sandwich which we pre-order on the phone. Came back and both my planos were gone no one was around. Well I wished them the best and good day.🤷♂️😁🎣☮️😎
I promise it wasn't me! 😁 If it makes u feel any better, they're probably being fished somewhere catching fish, on the hand, if you need to start buying some, I know a guy! 😂
And that's exactly why we do what we do! Because we know that's one of the rings that brings joy to many! Seeing lures they never knew existed or re loading those memories from some they recall fishing way back when and with someone they cherish and so on! It's truly a rewarding experience each time we get to see it in person!!😊
This was so much fun! There is so much history in those lures that you could spend weeks going through it! I feel like I missed out on a lot by not paying attention to all the old school baits that my dad and uncles had. Still, I just inherited a ton of old-school gold from my father-in-law and there are several boxes I haven't even cracked open yet! I suddenly feel a burning urge to see what's inside!
Nice lures I would love to someday have some 1946 luer and some 1952 lure because those to year's are very special to me wow nice I would love to have a 1985 lures as well that is a big luer tackle boxe wow part 2 of D's collection please
D is the mani love his channel it seems to be pretty underrated but. He really shows some really nice baits and just gives some awesome history behind them.
Under-rated is my middle name! 😂 JK, but all in due time! I do appreciate your attention to pur main goal! Sharing what we do know with those of like minds!✌️🤠
Awesome video. I’d love to see what your collection/tackle room looks like. Maybe a long, in depth video showing all your stuff! Keep up the great videos and God Bless!
Those are Heddon Hedd Plug lures. They are actually flourecent red in a matte finish. I believe 1979 through 1984 or 5. 3 different sizes. Tiny, standard and magnum!
There are a lot of “Bayou Boogie” style baits that come from Texas, as thats where the style originated from (The Nichols Piggy Perch being the very first). If anyone is interested in learning more about that style of lure they can reach out to me.
Thanks for tuning in! I have several blackthorn walking sticks and cudgels I purchased from Olde Shillelagh stick makers in Shillelagh, Ireland! Maybe need to plan a Retro trip out that way...

I am, Logan! I always thought the Pico Perch was the first, developed on Medina Lake...

Logan is one of our Texas go to guys! Not to mention the hist of the San Antonio lure show happening this month! 🤠👍
Just give me a water supply and a comfy chair, and I could spend days in his room. The man is a fishing lure encyclopedia.
