He makes a pretty clear reference to Meet the Grahams in the second verse, and seems like he's admitting that he's afraid of Kendrick, or at least that's how I'm interpreting the "knife in his pocket."
On the chorus, he seems to almost ALMOST take some accountability with the "lie down when you make bed" line but not quite enough to win back the ladies, which is what he's obviously trying to do with this one. He's showing his hand, and I'm not sure that's the best strategy.
Also, I think the first verse might be a reference to Mother I Sober, but I hope I'm wrong.
That “4 gun shot me not dead” is a reference to Kendrick’s 4 diss songs
