    The headrest mounts come off by squeezing 2 tabs that connect them inside tubes. You have to come from the inside with angler long needle nose pliers to get to them . They are on each side on the tube and you need to squeeze them at the same time and the plastic block that hold the headrest will pull out out from the top. You can reach up from the inside and feel them.

    Replaced mine with 100% leather kit from Ridies, made in Pakistan and shipped from Pakistan for $450, they came with headrest covers also so everything matches. Recommend dark tan on their website. Got to love these 3rd gen 4Runners, they were $30k new thus why they are so desirable these days. Built really well.

    What about the backseats? Do they offer covers for those? If not, it would look strange having two brand new looking fronts and tore up rears.

    • @JLeeChron
      @JLeeChron  ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually the rears hold up…. If they are trashed- then most likely the entire vehicle has been abused and is done with.
      This one in the vid, the two up front were bad but the back although dirty, cleaned up well.
      It’s usually the driver side from people dragging ass

    • @JLeeChron
      @JLeeChron  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Web Cityx I found this from a 2000 Tacoma owner, check it out - T4R is very close may be the problem: “Check for broken wires coming through the rubber tube between the passenger door and the truck. He started with a continuity test on the window wires but that did not show any problem. The one window wire that was broken and at fault had a single intact strand which provided continuity. He then opened up the wire loom and visually inspect the wires. It turns out five wires were broken or in very bad shape. After replacing the wires the window works properly”. Hope ya find the problem, Kind regards

    I have a question. My drivers seat in my 1998 4Runner SR5 Sport worn and old. I managed to pick up a beautiful passenger front seat that is perfect. So I know how to swap out the bottoms but how to I swap out the backs so that I can still have the mumbar function?

    • @JLeeChron
      @JLeeChron  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Petrillo the top cover is undone at the bottom by 2 plastic interlocking pieces. Just slip it off. Its a tight on/off..
      You may have to razor blade slit the opening for the lumbar button on the left side, swap it out.
