You're headed in the correct direction with Linkwitz, Kii, GRR, maybe add Spatial and PureAudioProject. I have Linkwitz LXmini (smaller version of LX521 - doesn't require such distance from front wall) and a stereo pair of Linkwitz Phoenix (alt) OB-subs with Seigfreid's recommended Peerless/Tannoy XLS drivers. Best sound I've ever heard, and for all the reasons you mentioned. You are on to the'right stuff', and I am so glad someone is shedding light on this via TH-cam - finally.
This person where you got demo has 2 of the finest selection. Period. He I have heard Kii3 it’s awesome but need the additional bass unit. For small medium room It could be great without the bass unit. Sad I haven’t heard the lx521 yet though bought the plans only have the lxmini People who want nirvana in speakers please visit this demo room. Your hunt will be over No headache of buying amps preamps and dacs. Seigfriend Linkwitz you are missed. I miss you tremendously
These are my endgame dream rigs. I am leaning to the linkwitz but I'm not sure on the flexability with room size. I'm also curious as to your impressions with various types of music. Good stuff!
I'll have a detailed comparison of the two as well as feedback from the gentleman who sells them both. That should be helpful in deciding which will fit your taste profile best.
I have the LX521 in a tiny 16x13' man cave. the bass is sensitive to placement in a room this size but other than they they sound great. I have had mine for nearly 10 years... Look for the one with the acrylic top on the Oplug support forum. Pull the trigger you will not regret it.
A wonderful thing about digital music is the ability to use a DSP. Not a new idea but it's taken until recently for AV receiver manufacturers to make DSP popular. As a separate they can be expensive so I guess that is why Trinnov is not heard about much (though Audioholics recently did a long-form interview with the Trinnov rep), though Trinnov does the phase corrections needed, and as you note that is part of the solution to good sound reproduction.
If I were to buy an lx 521 for home theater and music listening what other av equipment would I need to purchase? The speakers come with 2 amps, so would these link up to any preamp or av processor of my choice? What does the DSP hook up to? Trying to get a sense of the order of how the components sync up. Thanks
Ah yes, Panzerholz aka Bakelite sandwich. Using resin for speakers is probably a good idea and various manufacturers try it. I'm trying to remember the brand that recently did some resin speakers (as in mostly resin - many manufacturing processes use a bit of resin here or there.)
Working on it as I mentioned in the video. May be awhile though. I heard enough already though to cursory recommend it I just don't know all the details and interface for judging other aspects. Hardware pieces with Dirac may be more or less applicable depending on if you just use Roon and like having your own DAC and pre. I think both deliver the most important aspect... Much better sound for a reasonable cost.
It's not fair to have that massive bass trap/ wavelength extender behind your listening position! People really do not understand how long low frequencies wavelengths are! 25 Hz is 45 feet! When you have that much space the systems ability to produce that low end is incredible!
I thought I heard you say $40,000.00 per pair ? That doesn’t sound cheap nor reasonable to a average music listener ! Guess I’m pushing the Best speakers for the money and Quality Built for a lifetime of use -- KLIPSCH SPEAKERS ! I run K- Horns up front and a pair of Belle’s in back on B - Channel. I push it all with a 1975 Marantz 2325 receiver . All together will bring life like music , live band music bar levels at a little past quarter volume. For over 30 years I’ve been Rocking these and they are in a room I built double insulated top to bottom 24x28’. For what I have invested they are my final speakers a , now in my sixties ! I suggest everyone buy Klipsch speakers and live happily ever after !
@@AudiophileJunkie I went an look up them playing and they sounded unbelievable for what they look like. You wouldn’t think that sound could come out of something looking like they do !
After you film go back and edit down to the 12 minute timeline watchers are accustomed to viewing. Content is excellent but you are losing subscribers at this length. And please give os 10 seconds of each system. Thanks!
I don't do the channel for TH-cam algorithms or mass subscribers. My niche is the more hard core audiophile that is into the content and not video production value or curated topics for views. I sit down and hit record without editing much. I often watch TH-camrs who cut stuff out and wonder more about what they cut out than what they left in :) I know my style isn't for everyone...or the masses...or maximum revenue, but my watch stats and "likes" percentages are actually extremely high and well over normal benchmarks for a small channel. Thus, I'll probably stick with this formula for now, but I realize the long videos are tough for many to digest in one viewing.
Pants are overrated...I go out in underwear...it's 2022 In all seriousness, I think the multiple drivers mounted around the cabinet are intentional and necessary for the cardioid radiation pattern. I think the settling time of these smaller drivers has some advantages too although there is often no substitute for a great performing large woofer.
Excellent Video, maybe your best yet! I can’t wait for future parts to be released.
You must not have seen the video of me doing the Macarena standing on top of the Klipsch Jubilee :)
Same here - great video!

I've heard the Pure Audio project and those haven't resonated with me yet.
Agreed on your comments about MDF. Why use something that deforms so easily?

I am eagerly waiting for you opinion video on these Vs ncsxtreme with the subs. In looks anyway I love lx521. But sound and dynamics more important
Will be working on those videos soon.
Somebody know what reason he might have for putting diffusers in the corners like that?
What name please soundtrack at the very beginning of the video 00:00 - 00:07second?
I'm excited to hear this🎧
What are you saying about that wood ? Panther hold or something

Please review audiolense 2.0 with Roon setup?

Great content.
When will you show your conclusions on with v without Audiolense?
Stay tuned... Just ran into the guy at CAF and we talked about potentially doing it in December

That's the Kii at that price. Linkwitz is about half and you get amps too.

Hello, how does the Linkwitz LX521 compare to the GRR open baffles you have there?
Since I get this question a lot, I'm going to do a separate video on comparing all the open baffles.

Why have six 6 1/2" woofers? I have one 15" in my 3-ways. From 1950 to 2000, speakers had 15" woofers then women took the pants from men.
I own Maggies! In the living room! LOL!
