I mean -- I like Barton Creek too, but you're talking $2.5m median home price versus $500k median home price. It has excellent schools, with a great sense of community and safety. Unless you're dragging your kayak, you're getting in your car anyways -- so what does an extra 10-15 minutes matter. Myself and many others don't have the luxury of a $10,000 mortgage.
I prefer Barton creek with water. You can actually swim and Kayak in it. Do it all the time ; ]
