I’ve never been one to buy flatpack furniture in the past, so I haven’t much experience building it. I thought having a tutorial to follow along with the printed instructions would likely be the best way to go about it. I feel like IKEA should literally include a link to this tute in the instructions (and pay you per view). You explain things so well and made assembling my BESTÅ TV bench an absolute breeze. It went too well in fact, that when it came time to pop in my glass shelves, they were too wide for the space by a couple mm as the unit was so tightly put together. I had to unlock the panels and have my Mum “hold them apart”as I slotted in the shelves, and then lock the plastic locks again once they were in place. This thing is strong enough to survive an atomic bomb now! Haha

@@PPFlatPack Mine didn't come together as easily as yours! (User error there lol). The hardest thing I found was getting the door level (it still isn't properly level because I can't get the screw to move any more. My husband got it way straighter than I did). The other was getting the drawers to close evenly, until I read about the little screw that can be turned on either side of the runners. If I hadn't made a couple of other easier pieces before AND then watched this video, I think I'd still be struggling with it. Thank you.

Hey, thanks really helpful! I have one problem though the dividing panels don’t line up with the screw holes on the bottom side to secure them. I’ve inserted them like you mentioned. Any clue what I could have done wrong? Many thanks!
great video. Though in my experience, for the middle cabinet, i recommend to tighten the screws for the hinges ON THE BENCH first and then the circular thingies fit in the cabinet door by themselves holding it in place so you do not have to worry about lifting it. I had to unscrew it first. Also because the central shelf wont fit inside since its too tight in the latest (2023) version. But thanks anyway for the overall guide.

Took me a long time to put the drawers inserted. Do it in the opposite order he showed. First insert the nail in to the hole and lock the plastic of the side, then it is easy to match the hook to the hole. It looks like super easy in the video, but you can't see the inside of the drawer and keep it stable.

Have a question. I am planning to buy a similar besta tv unit , not sure whether it has slots/holes on back. The only addition is one vertical drawer(4 slots) on both left and right side of the TV unit. My power outlet position is to the left and right of the vertical drawer at bottom. I am assuming since both the TV shelf and vertical drawers will be touching the wall, and there will be a screw to attach to the wall. My question is, how will I able to connect a outlet surge protector from the left/right side of vertical drawer to go back to the central tv shelf, if everything is touching the wall? Is it possible to install the besta unit and vertical drawers keeping a certain distance from wall?

Just curious, and I didn’t install the shelf brackets. Anyway, anyone have “issues” with the shelf brackets ? There’re specific screws for them (8X) but aren’t they ticker for the general holes ?

Can you switch the legs out for taller ikea ones and can you replace the door for another drawer?
I had the push to open draws abd they are sitting higher than the middle door and the 2 shelves when I swap the holes on the draw fronts they go lower than the middle door ?
Any idea on how to get the small locks out if accidentally screwed them in the bigger holes?

Put the plastic locks in the wrong parts one is stuck how to i get it out?
Smaller ones are for outside (thinner parts) and the bigger ones for inside (the thicker parts). There's no way to deceive.
Unscrew the screws and pull with a clip 🤷♀️

Hey so I filled the drawers with DVDs and some have fallen so they’re stuck where the drawer pulls out is there a way to remove the back panel and put it back ?
If the drawers are somehow suck, unscrew the plastic screws and remove the entire top 🤷♀️

1. Do I need to use suspension rails?
2. Do I need to use french cleats to hang on them and then screw it in metal brackets?
3. Directly screw them to metal brackets.
For Besta suspension rails. It was clearly mentioned that this cannot be used with Besta TV bench
