I had this car and it was awesome fuel consumption it's just wow
The Polo was also 7.000 euro more expensive. But the cars are identical under the bonnet.

Depending, I have a cordoba with the same engine but is the 101hp version, and it has cruise control

Worst engine my 1.4 16v golf has a drinking problem
Excellent engine if maintained properly. From what I've heard the 75hp one is the best one. Only flaw is fuel consumption. I don't know about your Golf, but in my Ibiza it can go as high as 8 or 9l/100km city driving and 10/100 km at winter.

@@diferg Mine is about 211,500 if it isn't already clocked back. I bought mine at 207,xxx and i love every second of driving it.
Mines on 265,000 now from 2000
My Seat 1.4 75cv is still working fine at 200mil km and 20 years paring in the street. Never broken!
