Haha searched I Could Have Lied lesson hoping Marty had one, and there it was, first choice. Thanks for all your time these videos are fantastic and hugely appreciated.
Lol remember the first time I heard this... 19 years ago, Whistler, Canada. Snow started falling at 2 AM, me and a friend were on a good one flagged down a taxi. Cab driver looked back, smiled and said, "Listen to this jam." We drove home in silence staring at street light shadows.
Beautiful. Love this song. Such an easy to understand lesson. I picked up the tune right away. Now, I've got another song in my pocket. Thanks so much.
Marty, you are such a blessing to all of us. I don't know how you keep up with all these request so I won't add another to the list for now but keep them coming. I have evolved so much just from your lessons. Thank you, thank you.
Anytime i have trouble picking a song up by ear i can always count on you to have the video to show me... I've learned 3 or 4 songs from you. Thanks man 👍🏼 ✌🏼
first time at your channel - so good of an experience - learning to play for a week and few days - yesterday tried with just a tab, was hard - today with you 10 or 15 minutes and I could play the first part OK - so satisfied - thank you
You rock man, you really do....the way you play its so inspiring, i learned a lot with your videos and started some classes a few years ago....i play guitar for 3 years now....thanx... Greetings from Brazil
Marty- Dude you make playing guitar fun; you are a great guitarist and a teacher which is very rare… Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge brotha. ;) John Frusciante very emotional music that has that Hendrix sound lingering. Its the blues!!!
Cheers for this, been wanting to learn it for ages. Have the song book, but couldn’t work out some of the embellishments. Really helpful mate, thanks for doing this 🙂
Great lesson!! Was able to learn the bones to this tune before work. Appreciate your knowledge Marty! 11:02 was a very Tenacious D-esque moment… cracked me up 😂
Beautiful song, This is a really good tutorial considering I don’t play guitar I managed to learn it in 30mins, just finding the chords a bit difficult Subscribed 😃
+Clobberin Time thanks for the support, I'll be back better than every in 2016! In the meantime, please keep in touch with me at my official Facebook page here: facebook.com/MartySchwartzofficial/?ref=hl
I have an alternative way that I found easier to play as a beginning beginner. After the slide on D from 5 to 7, I go D5, D4, A5, low E3...or sometimes I'll change it up to after the slide on D from D5 to D7 I go D5, D4, A5 but then I do the pick and hammer on A2 and then D4. Figured I'd share for any others that find a nice tune and like to play around with it.
Hey Marty. Just wanted to take a moment to thank you. Your videos have been an invaluable resource to learning guitar. I've played on and off for about 5 years and I couldn't have learned without you. I really appreciate it. On a side note, what is this guitar? It's so attractive and has this beautiful crisp sound.
hey Marty love that you do these lessons really helps me but one thing i can say that might help others out is maybe showing then a better angle on some of the notes, because like me im a beginner so i am having trouble remember the notes and what not so it almost made it impossible for me to figure out the other half of the song=/ Im not trying to be mean in anyway just giving some good advice that might help. =) thanks for a great lesson though! I ended up changing the second half up because i couldnt figure out the finger positioning but good thing is it sound almost the same for the second half haha!
😂🤣 John actually plays it without a pic. The notes sound more mellow fingerpicked too. The solo's would be with a pic though and to me there the best part. Why didn't he include the solo's🙄
Are you ready for the greatest request you've ever had? Johny Johny by Mr Airplane Man..... You're welcome ☺ By the way, you're the best teacher online. Thanks!
Hey marty, just wanted to say thanks for helping me become the guitar player that i am today. And if you get a chance, can you do a full lesson on "knives and pens (acoustic)" by black veil brides?
So, if I understand your theory modules correctly, you went from the root, to the perfect 5th, then slid to the minor 7th, back to the minor 6th relative to the root? [up to about the 6 minute mark]. If so, I'm happy considering I couldn't name a single guitar note 6 months ago. Thanks for the help Marty.
dude, this tutorial was awesome! I have watched your video for Banana Pancakes and it is easy to follow. You are great at what you do Marty! Thanks, and Peace off! :D
The could have of lied acoustic guitar was missing the g string on the recording. So either tune your g to d and play it as you play the d string, or remove it. When you strum the chords you’ll notice it
Hey Marty ,do you think you can teach an acoustic song called 15 fathoms counting by bring me the horizon. Not really a fan of them but they have a good acoustic song and I'm. It sure how to play it or what tuning it's on
