Awesome sound very good, not too loud, the way I like, I planning to buy a muffler because mine is straighted pipe, I wonder if the flowmaster 50 series or dynomax super turbo would sound similar to the original, because the original its much more expensive now.
This was the perfect amount of loud and the perfect tone. Either of those should get you close to stock sound from my experience with those mufflers. Thrush Turbo is cheap and close to stock sound as well

I just got a res delete on mine but I already had a 3in catted Downpipe and it sounds soooo bad I want to die. It's like straight piped d series civic on crack. I'll be installing the stock dp this weekend hopefully it'll sound more like yours!
Yeah it definitely will!! I've heard a similar setup as yours it was absolutely ridiculous 😂 this could be a little louder but it's only perfect for me for a daily even tho I barely drive the car
I took it to my local shop cost me $100. Its not a straight piece so I didn't bother trying to do it myself. It's fairly large under the back seat. Looks like a carry on luggage lol by far the favorite thing I did to the car

I had my local custom exhaust shop do it because It's a weird shaped pipe. I'm not sure what the diameter is. The resonator is pretty big! It was done at Eds custom muffler shop in Springfield MA

I would look and see what components you have under yours, how many cats and resonators. This one was by the back seats and it was massive so it held back a lot of air. I've heard 1.8s with exhaust mods and it sounds really good so don't give up! If I have some time I'll try to research and let you know!

If you have an MK7 don't do it, did mine and there's absolutely no change in sound whatsoever. Deleted resonator and replaced with a straight pipe. Not worth $180-190 (or whatever your shop would charge). Save up for a Borla.
@@413BROS Parts were $35 rest was labor and tax. I even kept the resonator after they chopped it off. I'm gonna be getting an aftermarket muffler soon to improve the sound. The only difference is at HIGH rpm. 2019 VW Jetta S 6 speed manual. Mods include: CTS Turbo intake, GFB blow off valve, ECS tuning turbo inlet pipe, JB4, short throw shifter, BFI shift knob. So at this point I don't have much more mods I can do before getting into heavier territory. Time to mess with exhaust and then going stage 1+ or stage 2 after getting a southbend stage 2 clutch.
I actually built it myself. It's a work in progress but I found a thread on VWVortex and went from that. I can do an overview of it tho. If I was to do it over id just spend the money and get a nice one

This is just a resonator delete. If you want it pretty loud and to crackle you would need to do more than this. A Catless downpipe and a tune will give you what you're looking for
Yes! The resonator on these cars are huge It's looks like a carry on luggage lol. Only thing I have done to the car performance wise is a cold air intake but that doesn't effect the exhaust sound
I took my car to my local muffler shop. The location of the resonator is roughly under the back seat. My air intake I made myself but there's plenty of reputable company's that sell those. Ii believe AWE performance makes downpipes for these cars. I don't have that on mine. This is simply a deleted resonator 👍
In my opinion it's perfect! It's got a little rumble to it without being obnoxious. It's right in the middle. Absolutely no drone at all since it's the resonator that's pretty far back in the car. From what I seen a lot of people delete the muffler but they're pretty straight thru so I didn't see the point. This is plenty loud enough for a daily car without drawing too much attention. I love how it sounds!

Just Raceland Ultimos. I'm down 2.6" front and rear. It doesn't ride bad at all at this height and I put less than a 1,000 miles a year on it so didn't see the need to get something expensive

That's exactly what I have. I've done a lot to the car and this has been my favorite. I regret not doing it years ago! And yes just deleted the resonator that is located under the back seat. It's shaped like a carry on luggage. It sounds really good I still can't get enough of it. Glad this helped you out!

It's the one under the back seat. The one at the tip is a muffler. The one I removed is a resonator

Yes! I live in Mass we have state inspections and need it to pass. It will be a lot louder without a muffler but should still sound good

This is just a resonator delete. If you want it pretty loud and to crackle you would need to do more than this. A Catless downpipe and a tune will give you what you're looking for
