Thank you Jay. Thank you for this channel and also for your book Mastering Ubuntu Server. Its an excellent book. of all the linux books ive tried I consider yours one of the best. Just like this channel compared to other linux based channels on you tube, yours is the best !!
If you are learning terminal, learn Tmux; he has videos of it on this channel. It is extremely useful because it allows you have many terminal windows within your terminal.
Look closely, the TTL value without +ttl is the current TTL value on your device for that domain, and with +ttl it's what the domain administrator setup. Run without +ttl twice with a gap of 7 seconds and you will find the difference.
I never understood why `dig` is considered a useful tool. It brings almost none of the `A`, `CNAME`, and almost none of the `TXT` records, even when pointing to the nameserver for that domain. Why doesn't `dig` bring back more of the actual detail?
Kali Linux is a tool that people who are learning pentesting would use. An actual penetration tester would not use it unless they had nothing else. Most penetration testers would set up their preferred distro with their preferred security options, then simply download the tools that Kali offers, like Wireshark or Metasploit. Since this is not a cybersecurity channel, it will probably take quite some time for him to get to that distribution, considering most videos on this channel are about commands, programs, or features of Linux, not distributions.

Thank you.
I guess also note the much shorter query time after the first dig.
Can you dig it brother! Great vid 😂
No reverse lookup? (-x)
Seems that the use of +ttl doesn't make much difference, with or without. You get the same response.

Pretty stupid using its own attribute characters like + and @. Maybe ok if all commands adopt + instead of --
I always wondered what you really think about Kali Linux , would you rather not to speak about it at all ? if so why ?
