Did the NCL one. It's just under $15/share right now so for $1,500 you get $100 OBC for any 6+ day sailing. It's like getting a 7% OBC dividend on your stock every time you sail.
When you Book a carnival cruise : fully booked ( under early saver rate ) , if price drops - call your carnival Agent or your travel agent “ then you have onboard credit “
NCL sucks in this instance. You can only get one price adjustment and instead of OBC, they give you a FCC with a 1 yr expiration. I’m losing $599 because I cannot cruise before the expiration date.
The initial credit card sign up bonus is where you get good value. Also paying for the cruise where you may get multiple points per dollar spent. Just regular purchases which get only 1 point per dollar spent are usually not as good a value as airline points or cash back deals.
On Princess, I cash out my OBC (the non-refundable kind) by going to the casino, asking where the penny slots are, betting $1 and then cashing the rest of my OBC out. I then use that money for my next cruise. What other cruise lines also allow you to do this? On Princess, I also get OBC by buying their future cruise deposits (FCD’s) for $100. I then get OBC when I use that FCD. HAL also does this.
@@SharonatSeaTravel it was a shot in the dark one of my roommates in travel school name was Sharon and lived out west. I have slept since the early 80’s I cannot remember her last and I am sure your Sharon is younger than me.

Holland American did give us credit when the price dropped. We took advantage it a number of times.
RC will if prior to final payment only.
