Alun alun kidul it means Southern Square (there is Nothern square also in Jogja). Alun-alun is kinda big square field in almost all city and town in Indonesia even a village. Back then in kingdoms era all over Indonesia, that square is for festival, ceremony, gathering, playing, hang out, etc. Before Indonesia was born, we had dozens of kingdoms and empires accross the archipelago. Typical in Indonesia specialy for Javanese, they sit on the ground when eating, thats called Lesehan.
@@IndoCropCirclesOfficial Here in the UK. We call Alun Alun a park. A place of recreational activities. We can go running in the park ( jogging). We can go for a stroll ( a slow walk). Good to see when tourists travel to Indonesia they eat Sundanese, Javanese, Sulawasian, Sumatran and Banjarian food. Sadly when they come to my country, they skip Malay food and opt for something that majority of us had never savour in our lives due to permissibility in our culture.

Ooh, I just found out that "samma" in Swedish means "the same". In Indonesian, "sama" (with the same pronounciation as Swedish "samma") also means "the same", but "sama-sama" in Indonesian becomes "you're welcome".
There are 2 meanings for "sama" in Indonesian. 1st "sama" means equal..this applies exactly what you said in "sama-sama" after "terimakasih". Sama-sama here means likewise or the same, (we also thank you) 2nd "sama" is a shortened version of "bersama dengan" or "bersama" or in english "together with". I.e.: "saya sedang pergi sama dia" means "i am going together with him/her" In official occations, people use the longer version "bersama" or "bersama dengan" but in daily conversation, we are just too lazy to say it correctly and completely.
Menonton video-video Anda membuat mood saya bagus. Entah kenapa, mungkin karena pembawaan dan sikap Adriana yang positif. Terima kasih sudah berkunjung ke Indonesia. Semoga perjalanan Anda selama di Indonesia menyenangkan.
You missed out on the alun alun adventure/challenge at the field (held every night). There are huge sacred twin banyan trees in the middle of that field, right across the food stalls, and there is a race there where you get blindfolded and walk in a straight line to reach the middle path between the trees. Whoever can pass the middle of the path between the trees without swerving (because you're blindfolded) you'll get fortune and wisdom forever. So it's nice to see a bunch of blindfolded people running at each other trying to pass the trees. And NOBODY ever able to pass them.
Uhuyyy..as long I see..your look an Indonesian people..eate on the ground ...susu jahe.indomie.nasi goreng..ooh that is my favorite food..I like you guys..dont forget stay healty & keep passion ok..🤭.🇲🇨
so whenever you found any 'Goreng' terminology in Indonesian food, such Mie Goreng (Fried Noodles), Kwetiau Goreng (Fried Thick Noodles), Bihun Goreng (Fried Glass Noodles) and Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice). it always means 'stirred food' with main ingredients such as union, shallots, garlic, shrimp paste, chilli, and sweet soy souce (kecap manis) and combines with other local ingredients based on its region. for sample in part of West Java, Nasi Goreng will have an additional turmeric and aromatic ginger on it, and it may varies on other region
Your “sama-sama” concept is correct. Sama means same here too, so it’s basically saying “terima kasih” (translate to: accept my gratitude/appretiation) And the reply is “sama-sama” (translate to: same for you)
08:00 we call it a Lèkêr, came after Dutch word, Lekker which means Delicious/Tasty. It's one of my favorite childhood snacks. Over the past decades ago the vendors sell it by going around the neighborhood on a bicycle or stand by in front of the school fence.
When in Jogjakarta (Special Region of Central Java) worth to try Javanese Cuisine; Nasi Gudeg (Jack fruit), Nasi Pecel, Nasi Liwet, Nasi Rames, Sate Klatak, Ketupat Tahu, Dessert; Serabi Nyotosyuman, Wedang ronde, etc. Indonesia 🇮🇩 language just say like Latin/ Spanish not English madame 😅, Alun2 (just say Alun-alun) it’s mean; Plaza, hope ur enjoy n have a wonderful journey 👍
