Diddy put baby oil on all the footballs.
That'd explain the need for 1000 bottles. That's the supply for the whole season
Worth noting they use different balls for kicking situations to anyone that doesn’t know.
Something is obviously wrong/different with them this year.
Usually the kicking balls are a bit rounder on bottom, these seem like regular footballs, and don’t appear to have been treated in anyway. Almost look like the ball you could buy at a sporting goods store.
Surprised that the center or holder aren’t wearing gloves now
wait a minute...so if you are going to fake a field goal attempt, are you going to use the kicking or throwing ball?
@@honzarox usually kicking ball, since the refs usually don’t know that you’re going to fake it.
Gambling and pro sports and corruption will get worse.
American public will duck it's head like we always do with stuff like this.
Just like gambling on American presidential elections. That's not a car crash waiting to happen....
@@JohnSmith-tk7nt I read an article where it might make them open to election fraud investigations and things like that. The house doesn't like to lose so if there are election shenanigans they'll look into it.
I'm a Chiefs fan. NFL is rigged. You can see it clearly. Doesn't matter if its for or against my team. Still rigged for all 32 teams. A lot of $$$ to be made.
yep. late signs before the collapse, milk the cow and cash out, leave the sinking ship
This is straight up the easiest way for them to rig games
That's right. I think the NFL also has "shank" kicking balls they put in the game when they want Mahomes to advance...Buffalo had one inserted in the playoffs last year. Simple counter weights in the ball could mess up the balance.
They gonna rig games and they aren’t even hiding it. It’s gotten to where I’d rather watch WWE as it’s more believable and more entertaining.
So is only 1 team using the slippery ball? If both teams are using the slippery ball then not much to "rig" since the disadvantage is on both sides
I'm still not on board with the whole mass rigging of games conspiracy theory. I think on a small level it's possible (a ref here, a ball guy there) and has probably happened at some point, but as soon as people talk about all the games being rigged I roll my eyes hard. Wayy too many people would have to be in on it, yet no one is blowing the whistle (or even let something slip accidentally at some point)? Incredibly incredibly unlikely.
Those balls are red as all hell. Looks like they weren’t prepped at all before the games. As I’m sure you know when you prep a ball for game use and especially a k ball you work a lot of the red dye out and it starts looking more brown
i've noticed that some of the balls are so dark they almost look black
Kicking balls are brand new out of the box on game day. This is nothing new.
@@paulmayer8654no. Before inflategate teams prepped their own balls. Now the league does it and they don't do it properly. Sorry you don't know how football works
The u is missing from the word suspicious in the thumbnail. Very suspicious. Might need investigating!
Something is afoot with the K balls this season
I almost made a bad joke. But thankfully I stopped from putting my foot in my mouth.
holders are going to have to start putting a glove on their right hand...
Great, now every announcer is going to start calling every game winning field goal a thriller.
Results of an investigation wouldn't be truthful anyway. The NFL is I'm business with legalized gambling. Sports in general are ruined.
I'll wait till you have actual evidence for that. So the NFL is making balls slippery 😂 do you hear yourself? Vegas was making money long before legalizing gambling. Sounds like your team sucks and you need an excuse.
Once is an accident. Twice is a coincidence. Three times??? I agree that this needs to be looked into. It's happened at least three other times during the first 5 weeks.
Coincidence. Those balls are prepped specifically before games to be smooth in order to provide better aerodynamics while it sails through the air. Nothing here looks intentional.... and I am a one who has called out the NFL several times for what appears to be rigging the league.
Ive been wondering too about kicking this year. The number of missed PAT seems to be way up. This seems to be enough of a problem that i could believe something is different with the balls.
When I saw Cairo Santos miss a PAT this Sunday his body language looked confused as to what just happened.
There's been 333 pats and only 12 misses..basically 1 out of every 30 attempts
The reason for all these suspicious mistakes/issues can be explained in 2 words Online Gambling.
Yeah sure.😂 Where is your evidence? You have to have hundreds of people in it and no one talks? What a childish way to look at things. Sorry you are a terrible bettor and your team sucks. No one is rigging anything.l
That Bengals one was painful. Good to see he wasn't the only one having issues.
Waxed'em up to make them shiny for the cameras!
that's what I was thinking the whole video, they look super waxy/slimy. Like someone just put a coat of turtle wax on it, lol. So unnecessary and just detracts from the sport, imo...
That's because they are brand new. Before deflategate teams prepped their own balls now the league does it and they don't do it properly.
nevermind the professional wide receivers constantly dropping passes that a 12 year old could easily catch 100% of the time
I'll literally click on anything you post because it covers the best parts of what the media would never cover. KEEP IT UP ISAAC
@@IsaacPunts You should deadass post some old specialist highlights of yourself and commentate it. That'd be entertaining for the real fans haha
The media will never cover these things or any of these sports TH-camrs who suck up to these organizations
The Tony Romo slippery ball 😂😂😂.
Has there also been an increase in kick returners dropping the punts and kickoffs? If there’s something up with the balls reserved for the kicking game, then there certainly would be an uptick in bobbled catches by the returners. (I haven’t watched much football this year so I don’t know).
this season has been weird
Wonder why they don’t use mud balls too for kicking?
can you do a video about the AMAZING Texas a&m punt last week
@@IsaacPuntscan you do a video about the Nebraska punter against Rutgers? Brian had a big game and got hurt early still completed a pass had monster punts and really helped them win
Read some of the comments. The ball that is used by the quarterback IS different than the ball used for PA or Field goal. Somewhat like in MLB the game ball is artificially "roughed up" for a better grip.
NFL. Stands for. “ National Fixed League “. Wake up people. Billions of dollars bet every Sunday.
Gambling on games is outwardly legal now
@@paulmayer8654 Bingo.. the gambling thing is just an excuse for fans of bad teams to justify their poor record
Those guys are used to handling balls. Clearly something is amiss. 😎
you're absolutely onto something. those "crucial catch" footballs had to be specially treated somewhere to get that logo on there. i'm betting the balls have something on them; graphite dust, grease, packing material... something. teams better rub those balls clean pre-game fer sure.
Well, the Bengal player did “ catch” the ball, he just failed to tee it properly.
We need to bring back stick 'um!!! LOL
Pretty soon you’ll question how you get air to breath and you’ll hold your breath till you croak.
Check out Brian Buschini’s (Nebraska punter) game against Rutgers. Had two punts blocked, got injured, played the rest of the game, hit two 60+ yard punts, and converted a 30 yard pass on a fake. Dude was arguably the player of the game for Nebraska.
That's what you call a "Slick Willie" Wilson.
Sports sucks it’s all rigged
Andy Reid left his Greasy CHEESE Burger on the FOOTBALL AND MAHOMES LICKED THE LACES ON THE FOOTBALL
That would be like the thief investigating the robbery
Kind of amazing that three games of FOOTBALL are trying to prove how useless the name is.
It looked to me like the balls were filled with hydrogen gas
brand new football?
oils in the grass?
lack of grip strength training?
CTE?
There have been some dropped passes this season. In every f**king game! The NFL needs to investigate that, too.
And what about Patrick Mahomes' shampoo commercial? Will the NFL just sweep that under the rug?
You should make a video about the Nebraska punter from this past weekend! 😁 He was bent in half on a block and then had a 69 punt later in the game.
Not a grand conspiracy, but it's a conspiracy they should look into. Got it.
“special kicking ball”. very special ball
Having been a snapper in high school I can tell you that different brands of footballs have different textures. I don’t know about pro footballs but it is strange with all the slipping going on.
Now that Brady is retired, they are fully inflating the balls.
NFL finally gets it's own "dead ball" controversy that MLB has seemingly ever 3-4 seasons
I've heard but don't know if it's true or not that they use a different football (smoother without the dimples) for kicking than for regular games plays. Anyone else know of this?
They use specific balls for kicking, known as "K-balls". They are the exact same ball, except that they are brand new, out of the packaging from the manufacturer, and haven't been "prepped" by the teams like game-play balls. They are naturally slicker and properly inflated.
Everyone knows the lines before the game. The players, refs, and coaches. With all the money that’s involved with these games, anyone who thinks there aren’t some shenanigans going on is delusional.
The curse wheel's attempt at attacking the chiefs. Only to be undone by their smooth professionalism.
Got to be aliens.. gotta be.. yep , I'm convinced it was them pesky ALIENS
I did notice that every one of those dropped balls were awfully shiny!
Teams condition their own balls so it's on them! They also do have "kicking" and "passing" balls.
Older American here. I'm somewhat familiar with sports science. There must be something out there that can scientifically measure the ball's surface coefficient of friction to ensure it meets a predetermined value. Hey all you physics professors & students, this would be a great research project. I know they have machines that test golf balls, tennis balls & baseballs. They already test air pressure, why not surface friction?
New ball + a small amount of sweat = Very slick
This is strange indeed
....Anyone notice in 2006 when Tony Romo (botched the hold for the Cowboys) in the Dallas/Seattle playoff game, the ball looked especially shiny, like someone wiped the ball with Armor All.
Everyone gives Romo shit but conveniently forgets the K ball controversy from that year.
They all took a class on how to deflate footballs from Brady
Reminds me of John Lever and the Vaseline incident in cricket for those who are old enough to remember this! :-)
Obviously they're buttering up the balls because field goals and extra points have become "too automatic".
There is a microchip inside the football. The football can be controlled. They use a different football for the field goal attempts.
Called ,,,casinos point spread as it was uncovered players gamble
Screwing with the K balls is not a new thing. They screwed Dallas against Seattle with a greased pig K ball.
Kicking balls are brand new balls. They aren’t greasing them up 😂 players are human
The Bengals failure was punishment by the football gods for being given the gift of a turnover in overtime and, instead of trying to you know, maybe go and win the game, or at least improve field position, they decided to instead just plunging into the line 3 times and take their chances on a 53 yard FG. I hate it when coaches being paid millions of dollars coaching players also making millions of dollars decide that, instead of trying to win the game, we'll just leave it to the chances of a kicker. Admittedly also makes millions of dollars, but, just like the offense might fail to score, the kicker might also fail to get the kick, except the offense has at least 3 chances to make the kick easier. I could just tell they were going to miss that kick after that paltry effort to win.
If you watch a game, the in play ball is much much darker this year vs the K ball. I have wondered all season if the prep has been regulated or if some new mix is being used this year to prep game balls. They are almost black they are so dark this year versus last.
No story here….kickers and punters required to use the “K” balls which are brand new and only allowed to be broken in like an hour or two before the game.
You still care about football? It’s scripted
I bet the material used is slippery. Remember when the MLB had similar issues? The ball manufacturers were using different materials that made the baseball’s slippery.
I've noticed this for the past couple seasons, the special teams footballs don't appear to have been mudded like a traditional NFL football usually is. I notice the footballs used on special teams are always a much brighter shade of brown, like how a football looks like straight out of the factory. Im not sure why they wouldn't mud them because the balls are mudded to give player more control and grip while handling the football. BTW, this is coming from a fantasy football casual what has never played a snap of football in his life, so I might just be totally off base on this one.
Kicking balls are all brand new right out of the box, that’s why. That’s done because brand new balls are more difficult to kick. This is not a conspiracy.
Sour grapes! Wah wah wah!😭
Bengals simply lost, nothing corrupt about it.
Arent they trying to hammer the leather when the balls are completely deflated to reduce texture to make them harder to catch on punts? This could be an explanation for the color change and the handling.
The NFL is mad McAfee's college kick challenge won a kid $100,000.
Referees put slick-em on the ball. It's a substance undetectable by the naked eye used in crime only detected by a forensic scientist. Other words they bet under on field goals on draft kings and fan duel
Maybe but the bottom line is the Bengals are self distracting this year and will not win more than a hand full of games. Let’s not blame the balls. Lousy coaching and management unprepared team.
This is not new. This has been an issue with the kicking ball for 25 years now. They are new balls, undoctored, and just slicker than the other balls used in play.
Shouldn’t have had that popcorn!
As far as the NFL being fixed, I'm not there yet, but there is a lot of odd stuff happening
Brady deflated the footballs. Would any other sport tolerate this? Can you switch to an illegal golf ball or golf clubs and get away with it or would you be banned from the PGA?
The NFL is the same as the WWE. Private organisation's so outcome can be controlled. Entertainment according to NY supreme court. Not a sport
Cairo Santos missed an XP and he has the record for consecutive made kicks 😂 dude doesnt miss too often. Definitely weird across the league.
Slip Gate
in close games the refs get a slippery ball in play.
When all you do is receive snaps for your position, Choking is unacceptable. Bengals game is prime example. tTme for a new player.
special teams players may have sweaty palms, more at 10!
In all seriousness it's probably just a difference in the dimpling or something that is making them a little more slippery than usual... I'm mostly a baseball fan so a ball behaving "oddly" doesn't phase me haha. I know in football they have much tighter standards for the properties of balls tho
It's obvious that people who write these headlines are functionally illiterate, misspell words and don't have command of the English language. Maybe, and more likely, just click bait to get hits.
Pat Mcaffee has said they use different balls for field goals makes sense now.
Kicking balls are different than game balls. They are slippery. This is common knowledge.
Baseball has an issue with this. I don’t know if it’s the same issue but depending on where they get the rubber from the balls have different aerodynamics to them or are more/less slippery etc…
not having enough time to get the kicking balls scuffed before the games? They are time pressed to get all the balls in shape for the game
Another Issac banger
Someone will find a way to blame the patriots for this
When kickers are making it consistently from 55+ they have to slow them down somehow.
So the NFL will inspect the NFL ? How about the air pressure in the balls. I figure 70 yard field goals will be the norm in 5 years.
What'll they think of next?
My theory, based on my personal experience as an athlete is, when the seasons change from summer to autumn the atmosphere (air) becomes dryer and cooler making our hands dry so the ball slippery and hard to grasp/catch, especially when snapped, passed, or thrown. Gloves would probably help but holders don't like to use gloves.
Good theory, now look at the dew points and relative humidity at the time/location of each of his examples and see if you find correlation between them
I'm sure your knowledge based on your personal experience is much greater than that of professional athletes.
No, if there was a substance on the ball, the center would have asked the ref for a new one.
They got magnets in the balls man
As Tom suggested maybe the balls are over inflated
Don't forget the broncos center who tried to use the ball as a suppository
Wilson probably found a way to save $.03 in manufacturing cost
^ This. Most things are answered by 'Where is the money...'
But won’t you think of the CEO’s!?!?
Close guess. Probably more like $.0000000365 cents per unit savings so that much extra profit. Destroying the game is just a by product for corporate America. Bottom line rules this place.
Prob owned by the mob lol…I dunno with camera angles and wut not it’s pretty damn hard to cheat in the nfl but bad snaps still happen. Could be just a crazy coincidence but who knows
those are eggs bro, footballs are round and kicked with feet.
