You captured the whole point of the vehicle. I have a '14 with offroad tires and tuned by Kleemann. I have taken it off road only a couple times. It's not the most luxurious, and it handles terrible around corners, but it is fun as hell.

I like G wagons. I can say is a better off road vehicle than the Jeep Wrangler even when Mercedes had made it more of a luxury vehicle

Iâve owned both. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is far superior off road, sorry. That said, I love my AMG G63.

My mostly stock 27 year old hilux surf is worth a tiny fraction of that g wagon and can go anywhere it can go and further. These new g wagons are overrated and over polished.

elfranko81 not at all. Especially not the new 2018 g wagons. They will absolutely embarrass your car when it comes to offroading... All while doing it in ultimate luxury.... Its interior is absolutely superb and makes the interior of your car look like a dated corolla. Not to mention the g wagon has way more presence and comfort and tech too. And I am not even scratching the surface. Your car may pack a lot of offroaring capabilities for the money but it still will be no where on the level of a g wagon as a whole cohesive package. So in that respect the g wagon is by no means overrated at all.

Eventus Vantos you sound like the biggest fanboy and someone whos never gone offroading. You put good tires and a lift on the hilux it will beat the gwagon offroad for a fraction of the price. Even stock itll keep up with the gwagon. G wagons are for posers.

Honestly I hate G wagons,a lot of Armenian people drive those here in l.a and I hate them with a passion for two reasons!!! One,they always try to intimidate other motorists by tail gating them or passing them aggressively in that piece of shit refrigerator on wheels until they run into my 96 cobra and realize that my old ass mustang is nothing to fuck with! Two,I hate that they think that every time someone drives next to them at the same speed is unacceptable so they have to speed up like an asshole and if they notice your car is keeping up with them or going faster they automatically start having a fucking midlife Crisis which I love seeing!!!! FUCK A REFRIGERATOR ON WHEELS!!!! We have real OFF-ROAD vehicles here in MERICA!!!! It's called a HUMMER H1
