hey everyone !!
i just wanted to share this little video that we made ….
for those of you that have been following for a while , you might remember the “sunday night video” series that we made with the once and stu larsen a couple of years ago as we toured across america ?
basically we picked a cover song relating to a city that we were passing through . we would then play it at every show for a week before recording and filming a live version that we’d post up on youtube and Facebook etc ….
i look back so fondly on those videos and feel like they were a really cool way of keeping you guys up to date with where we were . plus it was loads of fun .
so ……
we’re gonna do it again only this time i don’t think the songs will necessarily have much to do with where we are - just some of our / your favourites .
also my amazing sound guys have cobbled together a mobile recording rig which means we can record without needing any power - this allows us to hopefully get out in to some really cool spots .
bellow is our first attempt …. the song is “losing my religion” by the mighty R.E.M and we shot it by tower bridge in london .
massive thanks to my incredible band and crew for working so hard on their "days off" to make these videos happen and of course to the incredibly talented Jarrad Seng for shooting it so beautifully .

When I first heard Passenger it was at a small gig in a town called Bellingen in Australia, and I just sort of stumbled across it. As it was in a small cafe I went to the first "official" looking person and asked where I paid. He gave me a huge smile and said he thought it was inside somewhere. Turned out that guy was Passenger and I've been listening to him ever since.
cool story...
I uncovered him the „ususal way“ through Let her go. But then about a year later I got Spotify and could, for the first time afford to listen to a full album (before that I could only buy a handful of songs on iTunes with my pocket money) and that first album was All the little Lights, wich is still one of my all time favorite records!
And that was eight years ago, almost half of my entire life and ever since he has been along the top 3 artists I’ve listened to most. He has become such an important part of my life and I am incredibly thankful for that.

such talent, awesome voice, so much emotion in every song he sings. i was lucky enough to see him perform once made me tear up that time! ill never forget that concert! love artists like this!

Nice cover! The *last minute* is the BEST PART of the cover because it's when Mike sings as Mike and takes his voice style out, endorsing the song.
his voice is beautifully innocent. it's very interesting with this song. I really like this.
last year I was in London with my friends, and one evening a band was playing this song in the rain, beautiful memories..

I first found Passenger in the budwiser commercials and since then I've loved everything they've done! I love hearing these covers of my favorite 90's bands! Fast car and this song is the best thing i've heard covered in a long time!

A Michael covering one the best songs ever , written by a Michael , an outstanding singer and songwriter !! I prefer the original but it is a very good cover .
This is one of my favorite songs ever... I always go into covers already thinking they will suck and most of the times I'm right... but this cover is beautiful... from the soft care to de music to the voice it's amazing how it came out... I want to cover this one myself with the band I'm putting together... let's see how I do it...

Please help me get in contact with Mike. My best friend has been suffering through cancer for 3 years, earlier this month her and her family received the devastating news that she has less than a year to live. She's 16 years old and has listened to passenger on repeat since I met her. I want to see if there's anything he can do to put a little smile on her gorgeous face; she deserves the world after what she's been through. I know there's likely a lot of things like this, I'm not expecting anything to come from it but you never know if you don't try.
