Stunning as always Dorothy, the exploding box technique is a perfect idea and I love it, it’s one I’m going to give a whirl at. Absolutely in love with those collections they’re beautiful! Thanks my friend for sharing and have a wonderful day. 💕
I like how this turned out! In the beginning I was thinking about how I might line up similar patterns to make it look like larger pieces of paper coming out… but I ended up liking this idea!!
Good morning Dorothy! I saw the sneak peak on FB last night and couldn't wait to see the actual photo and layout. LOVE the historical costumes! How cool is it that you were able to be in the shot. I've never tried to create an exploding box for a photo, but it looks really interesting...you know I'll have to give it a go now. :) I had to google the event in Quebec and although I couldn't find a lot of information, it looks like a lot of fun. Did you do the treasure hunts? I live in the "Horse Capital of the World", but I'm not an equestrian type person, especially at my age now. There's not usually a lot to do around here that isn't equestrian related. However, we have a lot of Ecotourism things to keep us busy, which is more to my liking as I'm not a fan of large crowds these days. Looking forward to seeing you use more of the Mercy Tiara kit. Thank you for sharing your lovely layout. Have a great day!!
I hadn't been to the Fêtes de la Nouvelle France for many years. That weekend my sister was in town so we decided to partake. It was so much better when my children were younger. Back in the day the entire downtown turned in to a historical village with merchants selling their wares and "prisoners" being hauled away in chains. It was alive with historical activity and so much fun. Nowadays it's more minimal and most activity takes place behind a gate with access for a fee. We had fun, nevertheless. Somehow, I think it must have been more profitable for the city when access was free! I'm not surprised you found little information. Before heading to the event, we tried looking for details on the website and there was very little. Thanks for watching!
Great layout! So fun with all the various papers & colors! Love the “exploding mat” technique! Will definitely give it a try!
Thanks so much!
