Mr. Crowley, I have a problem I've developed playing guitar. I was wondering if you have any advice. I've never taken any sort of guitar lessons, so I got into the habit of laying the guitar flat on my lap, since I've only been doing songs that require picking, and it's easier to see the frets. I've tried playing it upright, but it feels sort of awkward, and it doesn't land in a good spot on me (That was the best way I could think of to describe that part, my apologies.). I can't seem to play songs I know and can play well with the guitar positioned correctly. Do you have any advice for how to fix this?
+jim leiss I don't mind playing it the way I do, but I have a cousin who plays (Well, played) guitar who often comments on it if I'm forced to play for my family. Which I hate doing in the first place.
