Here we go, it's speculation time! What do you think should be added or changed for the next Farm Sim Game?
AI for forestry. Dude that would be awesome 💯
Able to move buildings from location to location without deleting
Pull type combines/harvester for swathable crops. Versatile had an amazing one. I know because my family owned one on my family farm.
Shorten the growing time by a day or two
We Also Need GPS for crossplay and a U.S and Euro mode for equipment. All mods for crossplay and some older john deere planters
I’d like to see working screens in the equipment. Showing real field data land gps info
Would love to see my field painted as I work it on a monitor would be awesome I’m sure it can be done
Pc has mods for that ;)
Yes auto steer to would be awesome
Yeah!
@@SirHuddywhat is the mod name?
Tractor sounds really need an overhaul. Every tractor sounds the same. Along with harvesters. Like making different brands with different sounds.
Like Forza horizon 5 have recordings of most of the cars, I know that game sold more copies, but there are far fewer tractors in fs. It should be possible to have a realistic and unique sound for each of them.
Yes, I agree.
Yes. The air brake sound just kills me. Lol
@@joemcmurtrey1 Yeah that gets kind of annoying.
Tractor sounds went downhill. They used to be good back in FS17.
Crop rotation should be a thing instead of a mod. Of course it can be selected on or off. Also row crops should be base game too.
row crops won’t be base game unless giants change the engine
Yes. Definetly
Corn is a row crop lol
@@xxkrazykrewxxl6254he meant rcr
@@Hick25it could be but would be a dumb down version
One of things I would like see is if it raining and you are working a fields there a chance you can get stuck
Go more! Too much rain, too little rain, rain at the wrong time affecting crop yields. Irrigation and drainage improvements could mitigate the weather effects somewhat.
Working vipers.....
Adding on to this comment,
Which I totally agree with.
I think the train or snow should not effect your yield right away, unless it has been raining for like 2 hours and you are harvesting.
That is the mud mod
Physics in general need a major rework.
“Story mode” could be something similar to “starting with $0 and building up a farm” or start with a smaller set amount of $$ and build up on new farmer mode
it gotta be a story tho with characters and dialogue
@@Yes-lq6id like a separate single player FS
Especially if you can do a lot of work for a neighbor farmer and get a field or equipment at a significantly discounted price, based on how much you help that person.
Yeah, instead of offering a tutorial on how to work the farm, they can do story mode option, however, I don't think they will do $0 build up forestry style. Not all players like to do forestry. They could do in debt start or can't hire worker start with only one tractor, cultivator, harvester, tipper, and seeder already filled with only one fruit type style due to seed pallet already owned... Wheat.
@@StephanieAFuchs it doesn’t have to be a forestry build up it could be where you are a hired hand that goes and helps other local farmers with their tasks like caring for animals or repairs around the farm or farm work like contracts but you make less because of using the farmer’s equipment
Overheating, flat tires etc, and service like oil change, air filter etc.
Definitely need to improve landscaping. Especially make a undo button if you mess up.
Yes, I’ve thought this so much lately
Shut auto save off And save your self each time you make a change
Total agreement for an undo button 😮💨
Having more options to make realistic grass and ground textures.
@@joemcmurtrey1 Yes for sure need better ground textures
Put courseplay and autodrive in the game by default! And 4x maps
Apparently Microsoft and Sony won't allow those types of scripts(LUA) to be written on their consoles. It would have to be written and licensed(?) by giants and implemented by default.
@maniaclxllegendcallofduty8520 well I mean that's what I'm hoping is giants just put those features in base game. Hire or pay the modders to put it in base game for the next version
@@maniaclxllegendcallofduty8520good. Rockstar hired the creators of FiveM to work more closely with GTA and activision has recruited several new animators and creators for COD so it’ll be perfect for the creator of courseplay to be hired by giants software (assuming they could afford them obviously)
@@maniaclxllegendcallofduty8520 So make it part of main game.
Milking cows would be a big one and not having limited numbers of animal housing
I real life there is a limited number of livestock you are legally allowed to have. I think it goes under farm bureau or insurance or something like that I'm not 100% sure
Controllable weather. If you want sun all year, or thunderstorms all year, have a control for it in the In-Game menu around where the seasons controls are. Make it to where you can change the weather to whatever you want and the change would take effect the top of the following hour. And yes, some kind of ground effects/mud mod/water puddles, with varying levels of application depending on conditions
One person mode for me would be how you start a map. Seperate farm manager, starting from Scratch and New Farmer modes.
Farm Manager starts with Prebuilt Farms, Equipment, and a Branched starting point, Animal farm or Crop farm. This mode would could allow for role play of inheriting a family farm. Easy mode let you start positively money, all equipment is new/low hour, all buildings are new and land is total paid off. Normal mode, you still have lease land and the main farm paid off, high hour equipment and buildings need some repairs. You got a farming loan to pay off as well.
Hard mode, missing equipment/ broken, buildings in disrepair/ gone, bank is threatening to foreclosure on the farm, tree growing in the fields.
New Farmer mode; easy mode, buy Prebuilt farms, land connected and equipment. Normal mode, you get Prebuilt farms and building. Hard mode, only the land.
Starting from Scratch, the starting capital and present loans start but you start with no fields, equipment or building, think of survival mode.
Also like for them to change how the equipment and stores work.
New equipment has on hand or an order system. Let's say you wanted a John Deere 7230R tractor, if the dealership does have one in Stock, you can either buy a 8R or order that 7R and wait a day(s) with a added delivery fee. Think of how it is in real life.
The used/older tractor appears randomly at a auction/ Used equipment dealership randomly with random hours on the equipment. You can go buy older equipment any time you want. Could maybe do a auction mode if this is possible.
Last set up Co-ops for your seeds, Fertilizer, Lime and Chemical.
The ability to lease ground, you get to use the ground with a -20% off the Harvest income at 10% of the lands value, you can't modify the land but use it for your crops. But it make it easier to expand your operations in the start without the added cost.
Last but certainly not least. Yearly Taxes, Proterty Taxes and Insurance. Insurance goes for building, crop and equipment, twice a year. Yearly Income Harvest taxes, once a year. And property is based on total land owned value, once a year. If you least ground, lease payment also once a year to the owner.
And bushel as a unit of measurement.
Would love this and having maybe more gooseneck animal transport instead of just a horse trailer and semi trailer.
If I could choose just one thing to change in FS it’d be to just have the world feel more lived in. Like you said in the video with AI farmers working their fields etc. More immersion would be so great.
Do I have to say "WEATHER AFFECT THE CROPS" ... this is like the basic variable that will affect all farmers since the dawn of time. It would had the challenge to the game. As it is right now, it is impossible to fail in that game. It would also give them the opportunity to add irrigation to the game, which would be an awesome feature.
I’d like to assign AI a list of tasks, like plowing multiple different fields. Even if it couldn’t hook up a different implement, it’d be nice to have it plow one field, drive to the next plow it and so on
I would like to see the ability to add ponds to your farm. I also would like to see that you can hire help for animals as well as some new animals to add to your farm. More American maps and definitely adding peanut crops and peas.
You can add ponds.
Hey DJ, i think in a story mode they could do something like starting by buying a plot of land, but starting in the early 1900s with a horse to pull your plow or seeder and then slowly build your farm up through the years and getting better equipment as the technology gets better and build to a farming empire, you could also have cattle at the start and you have to take them to the market yourself like on a cattle drive, but ultimately the scenario is building up your farm from a patch of land through the years, just a thought could be interesting 😁
Would love to see some more Canadian equipment like tigercat, k-line heavy haul trailers, and more versatile tractors like the nemesis etc…
I honestly don't care if the starting truck is a name brand or is a lizard brand at all. I just want it to be functional in the aspect of it being like a real truck. I hate that I have to download a modded truck just to pull around equipment. Take like where I live in Oklahoma. Farmers are always towing their disk and cultivators to the fields with their trucks to save time on roading their tractor back and forth. If the base game truck had that capability it would be great. And hopefully make the base game truck an actual farm truck. I don't see many farmers driving a 1/2 ton truck in my area. They drive 3/4 to 1 ton trucks. So a bigger base game truck would be nice.
As the next entry is not coming to the last gen consoles my theory is that 4x maps will come to current consoles
4 x Maps & GPS for all platforms. Difficulty options that include more realistic processes and greater immersion.
4x and bigger
Hmm! Yes this is something which would be awesome. 👍💯
❤
@@Nickearl1❤
im pretty sure the consoles are holding the map sizes back
I’d like more branded pickups and semis ❤❤❤
Something else that would be kinda cool would be maps that connect with each other through and type of portal more or less. Then you could have bigger maps but only work a portion of it at a time. You might even have to reach a certain level to open other maps that are connected. You might have to go through a tunnel or over a bridge to reach the other map. Kinda like Mario on Nintendo or a whole slew of other games. You could have a different number of maps that were similar regionally that could connect.
Aside from what's mentioned in the video:
- Allow the player to set their own contracts so they have the option of having something done (harvest, bale, etc.) for a cost. This might be a good work around until AI workers aren't... terrible.
- Drawable fields and pastures, similar to fences, where you place the boundaries and the game acknowledges it (looking at you, AI Workers who struggle with merged fields).
- Field & Crop rotation (make it optional)
- Crafting similar to the roller coaster on Silverrun- you plop down a plan for a building/fence to save money and bring (cheaper) materials. You trade time for funds essentially.
- Base game maps should feature one location from: N. America, S. America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
18:43 man, this would be awesome as well…have to construct your own buildings, or pay a company to do it, and see the progress of the building being built
I miss the Crop rotation with seasons 😭
Same
i run a server off a 2nd PC i seem to do my own crop rotation simply trying to run the farm
Grass, oats, barley, soybeans, there often never planted in the same field because next season il need a different item more so use that in the bigger fields
@@JamieS1992 in fs19 you would get a yield bonus for rotating you crops 😋
@@JamieS1992 where i live these are often planted beside eachother. Instead of grass its afalfa. And we plant corn next to all these as well
At least Kenworth and Peterbilt should make their way to the game. I know more farms with Kenworth and Peterbilt than mack or Volvo in my area
Bro same here
Love the ideo of ai doing their own fields so its more alive
Your buddy klutch mentioned this 13:47 the weather stuff as well as ruts and stuff…basically adding texture to the roads and paths, and yes digging
@DJGoHamGaming to add to your idea of fields not being purchasable. Build that idea by having fields randomly going on sale, with the ability for you to send in an offer to purchase, and even to be able to put in an offer on a field that is not for sale. The AI can randomly decide to accept or deny the offer you placed, and if done right, can also influence the AI "farmer" to deny or accept in future based on its previous decisions to simulate how fair it felt your previous offers were. This would be based on the current games contract feature in a way as far as how each field is owned by a different farmer. Done right it would give a more realistic feel to the game. But it also should be a selectable feature.
I would like to see building your own animal pasture
Indeed - they let us build a fence in 22, how about we're allowed to define the enclosed area as animal pasture (grazing??), then add buildings for purpose - milk parlour, calf/lamb/whatever stalls. How about paths between fields and buildings, so we can transfer the animals and see them moving?!
Crop dusters should be a thing. I played Ghost Recon Wildlands and they had a DLC that you had to spray coca fields. I cannot believe that an old third person shooter has crop dusting but Farm Sim doesn't.
Hmm! Yes this is true because believe technology has advanced enough to bring forth much advanced tools/technology to the next generation of this game. 🙄👍💯
Wish list for modders would be do more American maps (That are actually detailed)… for every 1 American map we get like 10 European maps. And then it’s like 75% chance it’s just flat with massive fields and no detail
Maybe you should talk to modders then
.....
- High value new features (For me): Believable forests with dense foliage, pest control & hunting, optional immersion settings (sustenance, power bills, reputation), pave your own roads with cement trucks & gravel buckets, etc.
- New Features that better be added or it's a deal breaker: improved physics, better landscaping, modern graphics
- Low value Features that if added, won't provide anymore value than an fs22 mod would: New crops, new economy settings, new equipment (depending), new brands, new buildings
I think it would be cool if it took multiple passes with a tillage tool to make a good seed bed. From my real life experience there is almost no way that you would get that perfect of a seed bed with one pass
You must not have much experience then.
What they should bring in, is being able to use the grain in your bins to replant it, like how really farmers do.
You can already do that in FS22 with the AGI Pack.
I agree with this!!!
Historic farming, going through different eras of farming and see how farming and machines has evolved, from small tractors to massive machines, maybe something like that for a story mode.
I would love to see irrigation playing a role in this game. Being from Arkansas and growing up on a rice farm, I would love to flood rice fields and have levees to control the floods. Pivots would be cool too. Also another way of irrigation is using plastic pipe across fields. We call it poly pipe. This can be used in corn beans and sometimes rice or any other crop that has large seed beds. I am really hoping rice would come in the next game. Based somewhere in the Mississippi River delta area where rice is king
I agree, irrigation should be added!!!!!
A touch on the animal system is adding beef cattle and the dog is helping keep the cattle in the pen otherwise if you leave the gate open long enough they will escape. And also making cattle into custom pastures like putting them in a corn field and they eat the corn stalks. With the wild animals they would eat your crops and break fences.
Yes and working pens and chutes and actually be able to work cows, deworming, tagging, branding
I always said GIANTS and Saber Interactive (MudRunner, SnowRunner) should get together if they want to make a full on farming simulation game. The terrain and damage alone in Sabers vehicle games would make Farming Simulator a completely new game to people looking for something more than a chore/sandbox game. Dont get me wrong, I will always love Farming Sim. I just think the option to turn on mud and damage at will for certain playthroughs would be amazing.
Rockstar could teach giants a thing or two
Adding tile lines, tile plows either pull types, a self propelled machine. Would be so cool. And it could go along with the mud and digging. You would dig to start your tile line, and they could make it so your filed is less muddy if you add tile lines every few years.
Why would you need to add tile lines every two years? They last 20+ years on real life if done correctly.
American forage wagons, please, for everybody.
I might be wrong, but you can turn the seasons off, or at least planting and harvesting, add to that you can turn visual differences off well there you go. What I would actually want is the Minecraft idea, before you start get the possibilities to set game rules. Such as seasons on or off, weeds, precision farming. And all of those settings that effect the game massively. Because now they are behind the menu but i have never seen anyone change that stuff during a game.
In terms of new machines and crops, I'd like to see Rice Farming come. Believe it or not the Southern US has a fairly large Rice Farming footprint, not to mention the east Asian countries. But I think it'd be interesting to see this crop come since it would introduce aquafarming, managing flooding and draining fields for planting and harvesting. Not to mention all the new machinery to accompany this. And if rice farming comes that could open the door for other aquatic farming like Cranberries
I'd like to see a sleep meter (need) would make it harder to work through the night and help the roleplay side of it; along with maybe a hunger meter?
Also add Timpte and also mobile phones. But they could also add NPCs for having to buy the equipment at the dealer. Would be nice to add an American livestock gooseneck for cattle/hogs/sheep.
For story mode they could do something like what Call of the Hunter does with their maps, create a character that talks to the player and gives them missions that lead to exploring the map and explaining how things work while also making the world feel more alive it would really help with an AI update
i sent giants an email around a year ago about how they should ad forest fires and field fires with an option to turn it off cant remember what they replied but i think they siad something about maybe adding it so idk it might be a feature and it would go in with the weather options
Maybe they could have "fake" workers. It would be a cross between regular workers and the field state changing. The field would change in small chunks while the tractor follows a rigid, non-physics based path to make it look like they are working the field. This would allow for fields of any shape to be worked on without the worker missing any spots or quitting because there's something in the way.
I love to see a lot more pickup trucks in base game
More utility vehicles in general 😊
horses, let us hire trainers. there's a mod on PC, but it never came to consoles.
Dynamic soil types with precision farming would be amazing
I was thinking about Fs26 / Fs27 up to Fs28, Simply because Fs22 is soo good already. Fs22 still feels so new in my opinion, It's still so perfect. But... If a Fs25 will come, Omg i would love that sooo much, Hopefully with lots of big differences and more realistic options ❤❤❤
I felt the same way with fs15 fs17 and fs19 but each one was better then the last just like fs22 blows all the others away so I'm sure the next will blow fs22 away and will probably be the same with its Predecessor
Auctions and more available used equipment would be cool and equipment breaking not just needing a service (e.g. crank shaft braking) or you to go and buy specific parts, and more options for shipping containers, like ports, container cranes and the option for grain containers base game
All good ideas but I feel that if FS24 is coming, everything is already set in stone.
Hmm! OK then this might be true if giant's software had been listening to the community most of this has already been discussed. 🤔👍💯
There will be no FS24. The game is every other year or two now
The thing I want the most in FS is more North American style potato machinery and farm with wider potato row spacing visual at 36 inches which we mainly have here. Also more conveyor belt for different application and material. It would also be nice to have different seed and fertilyzer seller with price variation and yearly contract for farm supply.
15:50 renting would be awesome as well
I think adding slippery roads/ice and it can freeze your crops and snow gives less money than usual to crops and veacles can't start if the engine is frozen
NMC trucks back along with mod pickups from FS22. Also headache rack/ tool box, mud flap and cb antenna options for pickups.
Friction/drag in the materials system and on map textures would be great. If the smooth metal surface of a bale spear had less friction than a stubble field on a bale that would be great. And it would also let you actually model horsepower requirements in a meaningful way. Oh and an option to turn off auto-centre for your steering would also be great and make it way easier to work on odd shaped fields like irl.
And we need better shifting for manual transmissions and proper integration of systems like power shift, shuttle shift, or dyna shift. And please make sure that the hearing is mapped to the actual pieces of equipment they are copying, the mf 3675 was completely wrong in 22
I would really enjoy irrigation. I farm in Washington, and most of my year is actually not tractor work but irrigation and chemical/fertilizer.
One thing I haven't seen nearly enough of is harvesters that aren't self propelled.
I've found one mod each for a trailed grape harvester and a frontloader tree shaker for olives on the modhub, and I've only found two trailed combines on mod sites.
I would love radio stations if there was a way to listen to local channels!
I'd just like to he able to set the growing and harvest stages in seasons. Right now double cropping (soybeans planted into wheat stubble for example).
I would love customizable animal sheds. Specially cow sheds with functional head gates for cows to come and use to eat TMR. As someone who grew up on a dairy, I think being able to make a farm look more the way you want would do wonders for immersion.
Remove the limits on extra crops for modders , I want to see modders have fun with creating new crops for their maps 🤗
What limits are there? I’ve seen almost every crop imaginable in game!
@@baptizedinblue There is a limit to how many crops can be on a map at any one time is my understanding 🤔
@@LooneyFarmGuy most of it just comes down to how much coding the modders want to do.
@@baptizedinblue 🤔🤷🏻♂ I am not a modder so I don't know from experience , just from what I hear😋
@@LooneyFarmGuythere can be up to 9 new crops
Idk if i missed it...but the new way of shapeing the land and forming it the way u want....need to go back to the old way...i hate the fs22 way..almost to the point i dont use it.....i actully habe a shed that needed the ground brought up in 1 spot...i disnt do it..i just pit the doors there and added a ramp...so i didnt have to use that feature.........also..with vehicles going faster....i miss watcing you DJ fly vehicles across the map......even if i cudnt do rhat..it was still GREAT. .....also great video DJ..u nvr disappoint
A better build mode/decorations and shop menu with the ability to search would be a huge improvement in itself!
With all the highly customizable mods available, it would be nice to have the ability to load a vehicle you own into the store as a starting point for a new one instead of starting from scratch. Another thing would be the ability to rearrange your vehicle order and/or the ability to create vehicle teams for specific tasks.
Graphical overhaul is my jam, more realistic lights at night and LOD pop for crop and grass textures really breaks the immersion for me.
I think it would be super nice if we could get more interior decorated shops, garages, barns, houses. Make the buildings seem more lived in rather than empty. You can sort of decorate by adding car lifts etc in a garage, however I think base game buildings should come with more features like that. Some modded buildings do an amazing job with the interior of the building. Thanks for reading my very long comment!
It would be nice to be able to rent land if you can't afford to buy it, you could pay cash rent by the amount of acres rented or a percentage of the crop sales goes to the landlord, also with the option to rent to own.
Already have a lease field mod.
13:59 in addition to the pop up saying your paths are run down you could then take a loader or wagon to dump stone from the fields on it and roll smooth for the gravel texture
I really want the fundamental workings on farming to get an overhaul. Irrigation, how weather affects crop growth, more impactful weather... But yeah, I really wish AI were more competent.
one big thing, manual overide steering for lowloaders(trailer)
Wow @DjGoHamGaming. You really nailed it with this video. I literally agree 100% with everything you said.
It frustrates me to see GIANTS spend so much money on things that don’t directly put features into the game. I feel like they depend so greatly on the modding community to make this game what it should be, instead of building these into the core game.
TERRAIN is so overlooked. I feel like all we do is graphically “re-paint” the ground. Ground should be more than a plain vehicles contact. Like water for example. It’s nothing more than a painted surface.
Great job on the video and these ideas are spot on…
Course play for consoles
Me to
Me to buddy and I also pc to
I’d love to see them bring in sweetcorn with the oxbow sweetcorn harvesters I got the run one in real life and would love to see it in game now
I do hope that makes it to the next game since Oxbo is licensed
Random breakdowns would be a good game play. Make it Random but tied to age of machinery.
Realistic physics....stuff always getting stuck in the ground, or fliping at 5 mph cause the steering is far from realistic.
Hesston loaf stack wagon, self propelled bale stack (small bales) wagon, Herefords, my great grandfather raised them.
I like to see Brahman back in the game, charlois, simmentals. Angus Hereford cross for the black baldy! simangus Bradford beef masters
I love all of your ideas.Would love to see the stuff implemented especially the farmers running their own fields where you see other tractors working
For equipment I’d like to see roll off bins and rocket launcher trailers for transportation. Gameplay wise would like to see waste management options like an incinerator, landfill, or evaporation pond for waste and waste water.
We need peanuts and peanut equipment in the new farm simulator game, Peanuts is a big part of farming in the US, the game makers must don't know that and what will be nice, if we can mow down cotton stalks like in real life and spray the fields with planes
We can mow down cotton stalks already, but peanuts would be nice
What u talked on was perfect I think it’s all good ideas
Something like worn vehicles not starting in the cold wold be a cool realism factor
one thing i really hope they add in the new game is a proper way to make custom livestock fields without them being pre placed by mods
like you place a cow barn on a field and it gives you the tools to draw your own field boundary with fences, and then the amount of cows the field can hold is calculated based on how big the field is
itd be cool to have a massive pasture and actually see a lot of cows roaming around instead of having a glorified chicken coop for your cows
i would really like to see grassseed added in like fescue annual ryegrass n others like we have here in west oregon. considering there is already a pickup header for combines. swathing n pickup harvesting with combine would be cool in the base game.
I would love to see pallets and other stuff made a little better (i.e better pallet/bale physics and fork collision), Some irrigation would be nice, and i would love to see some crop dusters whether heli or plane, just overall stuff to make FS feel even more real
Custom Growth Calendars for each map! Love the weather idea and real damage to machines
I Would love to see Pea's like you see in IRL And the actual harvesters Like the PMC 979-CT And the OXBO GP1189 It would be good to see crops like that and machines like that added to the New Game.
We need self contained yarder for logging, ie; excavator yarders and sky yarders
The last thing you said for in the video is a kind like Farm manager 2022 But everything else should definitely be a change in the next farming game
Love to see better rain
Would love animal pastures that are massive like they have on PC for consoles that are placeables.
I would love to be able to dig into any of my feilds.
You know like real soil.
And actual deliveries of equipment and supplies.
So like you can order 40 bags of fertilizer and have a truck turn up with it to your location. I spend far too long loading trucks
It would be great if ai could do silage in the forage harvest or drive the tractor and silage trailer
Pickup mods and jeep and houses like on pc but not all maybe some so it’s not boring
I wanna see realistic crop and sky, environment textures, i eould wanna see the ctoo text that are in the map stone valley
