I got some tattoos to use on tumblers, I must get to using them now. This turned out awesome!! Side note - I watched the Bob Ross documentary on Netflix and I will never buy any of his merch as it supports the people who ended up turning on him and are making $$ off his name and beautiful work.

I have a question. I’ve never actually made a tumbler but I am interested in learning, so I hope you’ll pardon my ignorance here….does the glitter show up through the tattoos? I didn’t really understand why you’d do all that beautiful glitter work and then cover it up. And I don’t mind if just anyone chooses to answer. Just please be nice. I love how it turned out and loved the tutorial.
No probmlemo, The glitter layer showed through. The tattoo is somewhat transparent. The exact ones (temporary tattoos) I got are linked in the description if you want to see. So it goes: prep and paint tumbler, apply epoxy and sprinkle glitter, let the epoxy get tacky and apply another epoxy layer, let fully dry until next day, sand it smooth, apply tattoo application, let dry, seal with Rustoleum 2x matte clearé, finish off with 2 more epoxy layers.😉👍
I don't need to do or have all the materials you have, LOL. But...is there a specific brand of blank tumblers that you think is a better quality than the rest or are they pretty much all the same?
When I started off, I just used Dollar General steel 12oz wine tumblers. Then I graduated to RTIC or Ozark from Walmart. Now I ambassador for Steel Magnolia which is a great quality, cost a little more than the previous, but I have a discount code Duncan10. Overall, they all work fine.

I did notice that when you were airbrushing you said oops I forgot to put my cap on that could be dangerous😂...NOW this is why I have not yet tried to use my airbrush ...not only am I scared of the damn thing but I want to learn so bad.. But I had notice when I went to set it all up ONCE and tried to spray some alcohol ink after watching a video of yours.... I said why would someone make an airbrush with no cap how am I not supposed to poor shit out everywhere!?!? Was my airbrush supposed to come with a cap? (Its like a Talcon I think if that's a brand) Also do you have any videos about airbrushing in general that might help me make the move to actually using it ?😐
I haven't heard of that brand, but some do not have a cap - which is crazy. I could tell you some stories about spilling paint out of the top, but, I was always able figure out how to fix it (I didnt have a choice). I honestly have never encountered a problem with this - just make sure not to go too heavy on the epoxy and that your tumbler is level on your turner.
