Gday Henry. We use lime. A bag from Bunnings of dehydrated lime and only use half a bag per load, put a good shovel in before you even start to seal the bottom of silo. And some on top when your done

when you get the house done the key thing (in Sydney anyway) is getting a receipt for safe disposal of the asbestos. That comes from the dump site. Not getting it means there's a pretty good chance your asbestos ended up illegally dumped. You can take it on trust or you can get your own copy of the receipt (and ring to verify it!)

The talc in the asbestos issue I would check the data handling information provided by the supplier AND the local agricultural organisation ie National Farmers Fed or even PIRSA OR you could pay to have a sample tested by a accredited testing organisation.

You don't see any talcum powder on the supermarket shelves any more re same issue, for at least a couple of years. I think a substitute is corn starch powder for personal use instead. Keep up with the excellent videos - great viewing!!!!

Nice haircut. I’m a No.2 all over man myself. I guess you’ll be wanting some rain soon. I’m travelling around SA next month or so. Hopefully you get it when I’m somewhere else. 😂

There’s a lot on line about removing and working with asbestos including all the rules , but as an individual your good for collecting and wrapping about 12 square meters and paying for safe disposal but being a great dad and having money just pay some professional big bucks to do the hard nasty work. The cross contamination with talcum powder was big in the states with very large law suit ,it was right across the industry, even in the baby powder.

Awesome video (and haircut!!) again Henry :)
Not sure about the asbestos in talc, but for removing it you could speak to McMahon Services for some advice as they do asbestos removal. Not cheap but from my experience they do an excellent job.

Does the left hand pull start on the chainsaw have anything to do with driving on the wrong side of the highway?

Google: "Because talc and asbestos are minerals found close together, when talc is mined it may contain traces of asbestos. Talcum powder is still an ingredient in a number of cosmetics brands. As recently as November 2020, a study found 14% of the talc-containing makeup tested also contained asbestos." So who knows.

Asbestos removal is pretty expensive, just did a quick search but haven't come across anything that says asbestos is in talc? So dunno
