Assalamu Alaikum I am a revert Muslim 16yrs ago alhamdulillah. My family weren't happy but they had always been open to whatever choice I make, and I was living away from them so I didn't have so much problem with them. I had tried giving them dawah online and had even brought my father to where I am ( Islamic Country) for a 6mos visit hoping he will open his mind & heart when he is exposed to the beautiful & true Islamic culture ( not the ones shown in media) but nothing happened till he died. My mom died long ago before I became a Muslim...but just this year, one of my sister embraced Islam alhamdulillah. Truly, Allah guides whom He wills .

In fact you shouldn’t delay saying your Shahadah (testimony of faith) because none of us know at which moment we may die. You just need to say the Shahadah _out loud_ and believe the words in your heart and then you will become a Muslim. You don’t need anyone else in order to do it. You don’t need to go to a mosque to say it (though it is recommended to visit a mosque and say it again in front of other Muslims and to learn how to pray, connect with other Muslims etc. but this isn’t a requirement of saying your Shahadah). You can do it yourself right this second. If you’re certain of your belief that there is no god except Allah, then there is absolutely no reason to wait to become a Muslim. In fact you shouldn’t delay saying your Shahadah (testimony of faith) because none of us know at which moment we may die.
You just need to say the Shahadah _out loud_ and believe the words in your heart and then you will become a Muslim.
You don’t need anyone else in order to do it. You don’t need to go to a mosque to say it (though it is recommended to visit a mosque and say it again in front of other Muslims and to learn how to pray, connect with other Muslims etc. but this isn’t a requirement of saying your Shahadah).
You can do it yourself right this second.
Here is the Shahadah that you say:
Transliteration:
“Ash-ha-du al-laa ilaa-ha il-la Allaah, wa ash-ha-du an-na Mu-ham-ma-dan ab-da-hu wa ra-soo-la-hu.”
Translation: “I bear witness that there is no god except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His messenger.”
Once you say this out loud with belief in the words, you are Muslim.
You don’t need anyone to help you with it. You can say it in English. You don’t need any witnesses. This is between you and Allah. Allah is your first witness.
If you are worried about what your family will say, here is a dua (supplication) to ask Allah to help open the lines of communication with your family:
English:
“Our Lord! Open the truth between us and our people -for You are the best of all to lay open the truth!”
Transliteration:
[rabbana iftah baynana wabayna qawmina bil haqqi wa anta khayrul faatiheen]. (Al-Araf, Chapter 7, Verse 89).
And most importantly, keep asking Allah to guide you. Allah never rejects a prayer for guidance.

In another version: "From the concluding verses of Surat al-Kahf." [Hadith: Muslim]
If a person learns by heart ten verses from the first or concluding verses of Surat al-Kahf, according to these narrations, Allah, the Almighty, will protect him against the evil and trial of the Anti-Christ. He will not be able to overpower or harm him, by the permission of the Almighty Lord.

In You (Alone) we put our trust, and to You (Alone) we turn in repentance, and to You (Alone) is (our) final Return. "Our Lord! Make us not a trial for the disbelievers, and forgive us, Our Lord! Verily, You, only You, are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." Certainly, there has been in them an excellent example for you to follow - for those who look forward to (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day. And whosoever turns away, then verily, Allâh is Rich (Free of all needs), Worthy of all Praise." [Quran 60:3-6].
