You know what would be cool? If they included this ending in a remaster… as a _bad end_ where the Elder God wins and Raziel realizes too late that he was deceived.
I would like to see a full remaster of the series, incorporating the cut content. Using dialogue from Soul Reaver 2 and Blood Omen 2, you could have Raziel realise the Elder God's evil, then after the Silenced Cathedral return to the chronoplast and set it in motion himself, travelling back to the Sarafan era to create a new timeline where Kain survives.
@GaryMc10 Yeah, oriinally the Kain battle at the Chronoplast wasn't the end of the game. Raziel would gain the Shift at Will ability from Kain, which would then let him enter a new area in the human city where he would fight the Priestess, gaining the Mind Control ability, which would give him access to Turel's teritory. From the Turel battle he would proceed to Kain's Mountain Retreat for the final battle with Kain. At some point Ariel would present herself for absorption into the Reaver.
Oh how I wish to live in an alternate reality where all of this made it to the full game. I can just imagine how fun the game would be with so many new abilities and things to do. Ahhh, they had so many good ideas...
This dialogue increases my lust to play the remastered soul revenant SOOO MUCH. the final part suggests a really really cool end bout for Raziel in SR1. and revealing that the time chamber fight with Kain was only a MID-GAME BOSS? wow..just wow...why cut that's**t...just...WHY
