Here's my theory for Sonic 4 or 5... what if Gerald secretly cloned himself without Ivo finding out, and that clone of his ends up becoming Eggman NEGA, and that's how they set up Silver and Blaze appearing in the movies. And Metal Sonic ends up being 1 of Eggman Nega's creations and takes orders from him, just like in Sonic Rivals. 🤯
