mingyu is part of the 97 line friend group and he's quite close with JK! JK actually referenced him in his recent camping vlog!
They’re really close. Mingyu, JK, and Yugyeom from Got7 are the original member of the 97 line group chat and they bring along their fellow 97 line buddies from their group. For Mingyu its DK and Minghao and for Yugyeom its Bam Bam.

When one is laying down is Insomnia Zero, a member lays down with a heart monitor and the rest talk about him or do stuff to make his heart beat go up, at the end the members with the lowest heart beat can leave and go home while the rest have to stay for another round, and like that until there is one member left
I just wanna talk about the whole ‘Vernon looks foreigner’ thing, because it kinda felt like it wasn’t taken seriously and that “lol yea he doesn’t really look asian”, that it was kind of an ignorant comment to me. The whole reason he even talked about that at such a young age, is because Korea is actually a very racist country and its a serious issue. Vernon dropped out of middle school and got homeschooled after that because he got bullied so badly for ‘being white’ he didn’t wanna go to school anymore. He actually wrote the lyrics for his verse in Trauma about that!
And still to this day he and other idols/people get judged in Korea for their ethnicity. Looking too white to be asian yet looking to asian to be considered white

SVT is my ult Kpop group. Thank you for doing a guide to SVT, I thoroughly enjoyed it, and laughed along with you.
Fact: Vernon was kinda bullied in school that when he was scouted for training in Pledis he was quite happy in trainings cause he is not bullied than going to school. He eventually stops schooling and just focus in training.
Yes SVT's 97 liners are all friends with JK, but Mingyu is the closest to him among them i feel like. And JK even went to their concert recently it was so adorable. SVT and BTS in fact have many sweet interactions that you might want to check out

Going Seventeen is super fun, but it might be better enjoyed on your own time, because it sometimes gets very chaotic with everyone talking over each other, fast flying subtitles, and lots of on-screen captions. Many episodes with games will explain the rules in paragraphs flashed quickly on the screen, so if you can't pause to read it, or you look away, you can get lost. It's totally worth watching though.

OMG Alice, I get the same reaction from people when they find out that I am kpop fan. First, the shock in their eyes like: What's wrong with you, you're 37 year old mom, what's with the korean boy bands and kdramas?!
To be honest, I'm still hiding my interest since they won't understand nor accept. Have in mind, I live in a European country where asian culture is practically unknown. Being a kpop fan in my country is rather lonely hobby, I get to talk about it and enjoy it only online with accepting people like you guys. All 97 line of SVT are the original members of the 97 line squad but Mingyu was the first one who got closer to Jungkook and Yugyeom so he brought along his 97 buddies in SVT. Also, mingyu is the closest to JK till now!

I was happy that this video that you reacted to mentions that Vernon is right behind Woozi when it comes to writing and producing for the group. Some videos don't mention that. Also, this one didn't mention that Vernon was suppose to be in the Performance Unit. One of my favorite pre debut videos is still Hoshi (with his hair) and Vernon dancing to "Two Melodies" by Zion ft. Crush. I remember when a mentor from one of those reality shows told Vernon that he would not make it as an idol. He may have lost the competition but he made it. As a matter of fact, SVT went on a show and that same mentor was there. I'm sure he felt like an idiot when Vernon walked out on stage with his group. Vernon's story just breaks your heart. The bullying etc. I'm glad he found SVT. Oh, you have to take a listen to Vernon "Lizzie Velasquez". That song is deep. Makes you think.

Going Seventeen gets super chaotic with like three members sometimes talking at the same time so it’s best to watch it on your own so you don’t miss anything! Also going Seventeen is full of a lot of different things that you won’t find anywhere else!

Seventeen have always been and probably will forever be one of my absolute favourite groups, they have such passion for what they’re doing and are clearly enjoying what they’re doing, also Going Seventeen is truly the most chaotic show
