By the way guys, I just realized that this stuff is priced at $19.99 on Pacinos website (presumably plus shipping costs on top of that), but is $15.99 at Target. C’mon son.
Totally disappointed in the product. It definitely just a hype and actually finding out that target carry it piss me off even more lol. I paid $19.99 for it plus shipping and handling :\. What would you recommend for a good matte hair product with high hold?
Yeah this was definitely a disappointing one. Sorry to hear. I've been trying several matte pastes lately and the Apothecary87 one seems to be kind of what Pacinos wanted to be. Also the Label M one is pretty nice, but it's more of a medium hold. I'm more a fan of matte clays though so if you want something other than a paste let me know and I can recommend some others!
I use this product myself on a regular basis and in my opinion it work best with just a slight bit of wetness to your hair so the 1st scoop work in all over and then I use a second scoop to give volume to the front of my hair.
I tend to not even bother with anything readily available in drug stores. Pacino's paste/pomade was nothing special to me. I do like duke cannon anchor news pomade that target started selling.
Wish I watched this review before purchasing it the other day. I did wet my hair lightly then used two scoops. I don’t have anything to compare it to but will say that I wasn’t crazy about it very dry gel like stiffness.
Can you recommend something water-based to try? I've been using Scheme Cream to smooth my hair out and Sebastian Shaper for hold, I'm trying to find something to try that's going to be easy to wash out without shampoo and not clog pores.
I always use 25 leave-in spray by TheSalonGuy as my smoothing prestyler, and probably still my favorite water-based clay is Clutch (also by TheSalonGuy) and it rinses out super easily. If you decide to try an oil-based product, the Fuertes clay is unbelievable stuff.
Okay I will take a look, I just checked out the Stickmore review you mentioned, but didn't really like the way it looks so much in peoples hair. I like that Scheme Cream looks very natural and conditioned, so I been mostly trying to find creams, The Fuertes does look really good in your hair, I saw that review. Sorry I comment asking on multiple videos btw, I am running out of stuff to use and needed to resupply hahaha.
I’m not a fan of high shine personally, so I haven’t tried many that would fit that category. But lately I’ve been trying out Aurora cream pomade from Lodestar - more like a low shine, but really nice hold and texture, and very easy to use.
Plz plz plz, I really need help, whenever I use pacinos matte in my hair, it turns white like dandruff, I have been having this issue for a long time, when I first started using it, it wasn't a problem. now it is, someone plz help me
@@TDMStyle I use around two scoops cuz my hair doesn't stay up for a long time even with hair sprays and stuff, I don't know what else to do to fix that, so should I use less then?
I mean two scoops isn’t all that much. I’m not really sure what might be causing it unless you got a bad jar or maybe it’s something to do with the combination of the hairspray you’re using with it.
My barber put this in my hair after a cut and I gotta say I didn't like it at all. Waaay to dry and it's all texture but no control if that makes sense. Best matte paste I have ever used and I have used a ton is northern lights by shear revival. I will continue to check other stuff out but so far that is the holy Grail
Ive been using fatboy - tough guy water wax ... by far my favorite product, I get a nice slick back look plus rrly easy to wash out smells great as well .. u should try it out
Hey Matt ! Could you try out and review Nostalgic Grooming’s Moon Paste Firm. Its another paste product but I have only seen reviews on the medium hold version.I thought you could make an amazing review of it.Thanks!
@@TDMStyle Ok I will watch your review on it and I will be wait for the blackmist pre styler.. they have craft clay and their new product profile putty ( I haven't tried it yet ) in their website it is their new strongest product and no review on youtube yet
Sweet video dude. I just bought some of this stuff last weekend. I'm still a little iffy about it. Tried out there pomade before that. That's not too bad, but then again I've only tried 3 different kinds of pomade, and this matte stuff so far, so I don't exactly know what's actually good.
Thanks man! Yeah I haven’t tried the other Pacino’s stuff yet - I was really disappointed with this one. My fave matte paste right now is Pre Game by TheSalonGuy but it’s entirely different than this stuff. Depending on what you’re after I could def make some recommendations!
Love the video! Great reviews, I do like these honest review really getting down to it. I’m not sure why but Pacinos products rub me the wrong way. I can’t explain it and it’s not science based at all cause I’ve never tried it but they’re just weird you know 😂
Wow you deserve more subscribers, your reviews are so reliable and have really helped me choose between what products to buy and such. Great vid as always. :D
I knew it before even trying it. Just looking at those videos on Instagram with those stupid faces and crappy edits, I knew this wasnt going to be nothing special. I really enjoy hair content tutorials, but this guys Just ruin it for me. Awesome review btw, you and Robin are my favorite reviewers at the moment, other channels Just promote their products and nothing else.
TDM Style no problem, been watching you for about 6 months now and I can definitely say these recent videos have a lot more personality and uniqueness to them
No can do for me. My hair is curly, which is straightened out and smoothed when I blow dry. If I were to wet my hair, it would undo all of that straightening and smoothing and then the products would work even worse.

How to buy Pacino's.?
I use this product myself on a regular basis and in my opinion it work best with just a slight bit of wetness to your hair so the 1st scoop work in all over and then I use a second scoop to give volume to the front of my hair.
finally an honest review this is why I love your channel
Thank you! I appreciate that 🙏🏻
The trick is it only works n control if u use in damp hair dnt ever use on dry hair
In that case they should have put that in their instructions lol. Also that basically defeats the purpose of calling it a matte paste imo 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve been using vo5 Matt fiber but I’m looking for something better quality. Could you recommend anything similar to that product that’s better.
I tend to not even bother with anything readily available in drug stores. Pacino's paste/pomade was nothing special to me. I do like duke cannon anchor news pomade that target started selling.
Yeah usually same - 95% of the drug store products I've tried are just hot garbage. I'll have to check out that Duke Cannon stuff though.
So what you recommend replace pacinos mate?
Ive seen this product EEEVERRYYWHEEREE. Thanks for your honesty.
Right? I don't think I've ever seen as much advertising for a hair product as these guys lol
What should I choose: Layrite cement clay or pacinos matte paste?
MATTE
@@moncayo_dan1el875 no, i mean, i already chose and man go for baxter of california clay it s way more better than 2 i d said a year ago

Thank you Matt, we can really trust on all your reviews! Thanks for the amazing job!
Thanks so much! Means a lot to hear that.
Pacinos isn't that bad it's just way over priced. $18 for a target hair product is way to much money.
I haven’t even seen the video yet and I already know youre not going to be a fan specifically because I’ve tried it and I hated it

So which product is better within 20$?
Matt would you try the Nostalgic Moon Paste new firm hold version :D
On my to-do list ;)

@@TDMStyle I see bit expensive though good cream pomade.

Sounds like you need to break it down in your hands more before applying it. Get it real warmed up and emulsified first.
@@TDMStyle it turns little white when I just apply it but after few hours it turns completely white, and appears a lot
That’s bizarre, it shouldn’t do that. Are you using a large amount?
@@TDMStyle I use around two scoops cuz my hair doesn't stay up for a long time even with hair sprays and stuff, I don't know what else to do to fix that, so should I use less then?

is it safe i mean it contAin mineral oil?
Seeing a whole review would be kinda cool. Especially seeing what you have to do to get that hold but make it look more moisturized and shit.

Have you tried their Creme?
I haven’t. Maybe some day, but we’ll see. I wasn’t very keen on this one so I’m kinda skeptical about their other products lol

It’s paste
What do you use ?
I’m a reviewer; I use all sorts of things lol
Dope hair bro. “I smell like a Axe fuck boy” 😂😂 That reminds me of me when I was in middle school, I used to use it after gym class.
No offence but I'm pretty distracted by ur paint brush hair😂😂
🤷🏻♂️
I was just going to purchase this product just the other day.
At this point I’d say save your money lol
Bro I have fine hair , a pre styler for me
There are many options - depends on what style you are going for, but I have heard that Aveda Thickening Tonic is great for fine hair.
please review products from black label line : shape paste and black mist pre styler
They're on my to-do list.

like the video amazing but clutch will always have the best scent compared to any product
Agreed, Clutch still has my absolute favorite scent!
Thanks, Matt! What are your top 3 favourite products (post-stylers) as of today?
As of right now I’d say they’re Fuertes clay, Clutch, and Stickmore Clay Fiber!
