    I removed the diodes and did a factory reset and my radio works just fine. Thank You for your help!!

    So glad I found this video! After I already removed 420 and 423 I saw no changes in band plan or in language (and I don’t even know how to do a factory reset 🤷🏻‍♀️) but your menu walk-thru just gave me everything I was looking for. Thank you so much!❤

      Glad you found it useful .. this is why I made the video, because nothing online about the Japan version.

    Thanks Mr Jones. I noticed that I had 2 extra diodes in the middle top row and decided not to remove 422 until I learned if it will work ok and not brick the radio. others have made comments that no matter what I do it would not TX on 11 meters. I will remove 422 then do factory reset and setup the band edges for 11 meters. mine is the 100 watt version. I wonder what would I be missing if I left those 2 up top middle in place?.... I can rx from 0.030.000 to 74.80 already. also I see 60 meters will open up further if I remove 405...it's the 2nd diode up from the bottom in the 2nd row. thank u for your video. this gives me renewed hope for a project when I get off work. can I break the 422 diode loose with fingernail as I have read a couple people say it works.

      It will definitely tx if you remove....the other 2 in the top middle 1 is for English menu as default..the other is for US band plan as default...if you don't want to change band plan then choose anything other than ( user tx)...use default or off and you'll have full tx from 100kh to 74.8mhz.......or make your own when using the user tx..in (USER TX

      @@mrjones6770 you were exactly right. I just removed the 422 only and it works like a charm. no reset , just take out 422 and power it up All is Good !! Others said it could not be done on a Japan version... Well they did not know what they were talking about. Thanks again Mr. Jones

    i've seen on ebay that japanese voltage is 100V.. not the same as US or Europe. Did you have to use a step down transformer with this IC-7300 because it's from japan?

    • @mrjones6770
      @mrjones6770  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not true...13.8 volt is what it is

    • @rancherodave
      @rancherodave 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That would be the case if the 7300 had a built in power supply which it does not.

    Do you know of info to change a Japanese 7610 to US language and band plan? Or US language and mars?

  • @Optimus2179
    @Optimus2179 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Just buy the USA one and get the warranty. Stop being cheap. If your radio fails, the money you saved will immediately go back into a repair. Most likely for HF usage some of the band coverages are omitted.
