Even with schematics is hard sometimes, and this is incredible...doing it like he does, teaching with no secrets like he does...You have win my greatest and honest respect Mr. Sorin...

You've found the right channel to learn laptop repairs, sir. Sorin is among the top 2 on YT in my opinion. The other one is Laptex. Have a look at their channel. Most of their videos are in Hindi but still there's handful of English videos which I found very helpful. I don't have any affiliation with their channel. Just wanted to help someone who's willing to learn laptop repairs.

Just gotta say, "Sorin", your video's are "Sic".
Trying to learn about fixing stuff and came across you channel about 6 months ago, I've watched everything I can find.
Always look for the two mosfets, coil and current resistor now....;-)
Please keep doing the long video's, please keep showing the mistakes, please keep explaining.
    It helps us newbie's enormously...
I love the "dodgy" fixes, but once you understand why, they're good.
    Thanks for taking the time.

i cant believe your skills with the soldering of high pin count ic's .. ive seen others remove the ICs and clean the pads and apply solder to those pads and then try to solder it .. ive never seen you use extra solder .. and as much as ive seen your videos (and i ve seen many .. most ) youve had a perfectly soldered IC every time .. this super IO was an odd one .. and even though twice or thrice .. it moved from its place .. it was soldered perfectly....
my salute to you sir ... ive learnt a lot from your channel .. and to think .. im not even in to the repair business .. i used to assemble and deal in computers long long back 1994 to 1997 (fresh out of college) so thats a long time back .. but thank you i watch almost all your videos

Can anyone point me the direction of fixing my laptop ?
I have replaced the Thermal Paste on it and accidentally blew my Screen Backlight Fuse off.
After finding the blown fuse and removed it + short the circuit to see if the issue is still there... the screen is working fine... but now the Battery does not charge anymore.
The laptop seems to be working fine only when plugged in ... but dies immediatelly when I disconnect the charger... which means that the battery is not charging.
I have removed the battery and tried it out in my new laptop (they both have the same battery model) ... I have charged the battery ... but when I try now to connect the charger... the charger's protection kicks off and cutts the charging power.
I have tested the battery from my new laptop as well... and the charger cutts of the power as soon as I plug it in.
Any advice on where should I start ?
    Thanks in advance
