Yeah, as an ISTP it feels like i"m playing this cops and robbers game that no one else is aware of but me, like it's for sport or that rush of adrenaline and excitement. Waiting for the chips to all fall and seeing how I can evade or weasel my way out of that impending explosion when the tribe questions me on all the little things and they can never seem to pin me down lol.

I've been watching you guys for a couple years, and I love you guys! Your funny, speak the same language, and clearly have many hours of experimentation and study. One thing I realized when I put this video on tonight for my wife, you guys sound CRAZY when seen through anothers eyes, and even my own eyes seen through anothers... Two points: How stark a difference in the perception of two different people in general, and more specifically how I could perceive your content from such a different perspective watching it alone, than I do watching it with my wife. When watching your content with my wife, I actually see it/perceive it as if I was the person I feel/know she is, and that feeling is confirmed by her.

But then if you do go to join the conversation and it's a deep conversation, you are looked at weird or intensely, and it's awkward quietness for a few seconds. Me: I'm walking away; there's no point in me being there. They clearly don't want me there so sometimes I won't bother with it.
Like the person could want the one person to be there for everyone to connect; that's great. But if when I show effort and then I'm met with awkward silence, can said the tribe stop sending me mixed signals? Is it nuanced when I'm supposed to approach? Is there a time window?
I get to some degree that the tribe is unified on some views or a way about doing things. Great. But looking in as an outsider and attempting to join x group, even if I do put in a lot of work and "join" them in sense. I'm still a self bubble isolated in the tribe space. A lot of times, I'm still not one of them.

(Ti/Se) The people at my job are always talking about, women, sports, or whatever BS they just saw in the news. How am I a "valued" member of this organization? I hold their hands, walk them through the troubleshooting process, and NEVER make them feel dumb for having come to ask.

@@PhotoRubio (not officially typed, not in the class yet, trying to self type still) As of lately, I guess I do notice people at work will come to me when they need a problem solved. I have solutions come to me rather quickly, or it feels like it doesn't take much effort to figure out some solutions to given problem. I'll have ideas for it whatever it is. But when it comes to deep stories about life like "mom's not doing too well or boyfriend is doing this and that bugs me", I don't get included in that as much. Whatever I'm doing when they talk about that, I think I'm not giving them the desired response. I think I might have 3 savior Fe coworkers that I interact with a lot in a given day.
(I have to go so I'm trying to wrap my thoughts up quickly.) Overall, I'm antsy if staying or standing in a conversation too long. I feel like I need to go do something or get work done. I can't really relax down into a conversation if I'm not on a break of some sort. There's people that clearly don't have that. But yeah, I don't have time to wrap up my thoughts. I have to go get ready now.

@@PhotoRubio I'm not sure if it is a specific topic that makes me want to get back to work. I'm sure there are some. But I think it's more the fear or anticipation that one of the supervisors could walk by at any moment and sternly say get back to work. Religious conversations would make me stay longer. Conversations with friends that I haven't seen in awhile would probably make me stick around longer. Game discussions that I know something about, I would likely stay longer, unless I'm just clocking in, then I would say that I unfortunately have to go.
Any conversation where I walk into the conversation but everyone goes dead silent, I don't stick around for that. I'm more likely to leave a conversation if I have nothing more to add. Conversations where I realize my voice isn't valued, I'll tend to keep those short.
I just start getting a feeling that I've been in this area too long, and I gotta move. Lately, my current conclusion for self typing has been Lead Sleep with Play Last (I suspect somewhere in here: INFP, INTP and ISTJ). Honestly reading this alone gave me strong EXTP vibes(have you considered possibly having Ti-Fe as the middle functions?), you seem to be very aware of how people perceive you and capable of reading the objective feeling of the group(plus being more fixated on the tribe's emotions than yours) which suggests Fe(Example: like when you said you can't hold a conversation for long out of fear that your boss will judge you and assume you're not working: hyper awareness and worry about others' judgment) but not strong enough to override what makes sense to you in a social situation(which could be double deciding), anyways this remains a suggestion for now

Just hold them up to the same standards as you do yourself. And I don't mean "expect them to act, or think, like you." It's more like "expect them to challange their own autopilots as much as you do." Okay, the way they act makes no logical, productive, sense. But don't pretend you do what you do because "it is the most appropriate and rational for the workplace." No, you do what you do because that's your comfort zone, your mental path of least resistence, and it just happens to be appropriate, so you have reasons to defend your own way. And if you're not willing to act in a way that is not habitual, or feels natural, to you, just don't expect them to challenge their own idiotic ways either. Face the real-world, strategic, consequences, as stupid and nonsensical as they are, and assume they are just warranted.

Can confirm that a good chunk of my mental energy goes towards dodging all these social nitpicks that all the "social" people like to blow up and make a whole thing about. I don't want to be "caught" because then it's going to waste my next 5 minutes with a bunch of lame jokes at my expense, which I am socially obligated to receive "in good fun" for the entire duration of it, and if unlucky they'll come back to haunt me for the rest of the day. I'm sure this little humiliation ritual is very important for the social people but I'd rather avoid it whenever possible.

Showing humility/boisterousness is a lubricant for social interaction. Without it, people feel like you think they’re untrustworthy or have it out for them unless you’re one of those who’s like that with everybody. Make sure to show appreciation and goodwill in your own way on your own terms and the tribe will likely spare you.

@@suhaybm186 If this particular type of “social” person thinks that I do not trust them, then they are 100% correct. The reason for that, is that they pounce on every opportunity to violate my trust. That’s not lubrication, it’s just mean. These people pretend to be fun and friendly, but they are bullies. If I say anything about it, they become deeply insulted, bitter, and aggressive, so I’ve learned to just ignore them and not give them opportunities to waste my time with the completely unnecessary humiliation rituals. This actually lubricates the relationship much better because they’ll think I’m “cool” and then they think they also become cool by association. It’s just a huge dumb game built on lies and false assumptions. It’s all absolutely insane. I don’t really care to play the game, I just learned the basic rules that let me skip straight to the “win condition”. That’s why these people always adore me despite not knowing anything about me. I wish this game weren’t so ridiculous, but it is.

This is just what I picked up: it's demonstrating the difference between savior Di - double observer vs savior Di - double decider, or IPs vs Savior Di - EPs. I'm guessing Craig is the IP double observer as he can't swing to his De the same way that Fallon can for instance as an EP. A double decider might joke about the dressing room bit and that'll often go over well because they know when to shift to the other decider for the tribe ie. more equal praise/kicking your own ass and the tribe's, while instead the tribe is thinking... just let that dressing room bit go. Instead of realizing as Dave was saying that "you can't do that", he's mostly in Di land. A lot of these little things like blowing past the water cooler instead of mingling with coworkers the tribe can't really call the IP on as it's not "enough," but eventually the big selfish mess-up happens and they'll get called out seemingly out of no where to them (the tribe "tidalwave") because the tribe's opinion has been stewing, meanwhile they have no clue as with De 4th it's a major blindspot for them.

One thing I'm thinking about these days is whether the impalance between self and tribe will necessarily mean the imbalance between thinking and feeling(same with Chaos/Contron and Sensing/Intuition)
For example I might be an INFP-CSB(P)-MF, the IxxP described by OP is totally me (it had me really embarrassed). However, my thinking and feeling are pretty balanced, at least in my opionion and the opinion a few people around me(I know that doesn't say much because I'm an IxxP). It is my intuition and sensing that is imbalanced. But I'm not and IJ or EP as I can manage chaos and control. I feel like my Di identity is a mixture of Fi and Ti.
Likewise, is it possible for an IxxJ control freak who is balanced in terms of Sensing and Intuition? Or an Chaotic ExxP who likes to explore both idea and real world in a 50/50 split. Or an ExxJ who respect both the reason and the emotion of the tribe evenly?

    • @sophiaredwood5825
      @sophiaredwood5825 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Well, I can say this much. I’m an ENFP, self-typed MM CS/P(B) to be exact. I have Ne at the top and Si at the bottom, yet I’ve become almost infuriatingly practical over the years. As a result, I can use Si in a ton of ways that are very comfortable for me. There are two main things I can attribute this to:
-My Si being masculine (thus my Ne being feminine).
-My Savior Sleep, which uses Si in a Savior state.
My Si comes out all the time. I use it to build a grand timeline of my life and I have a shocking memory of precise dates and details that goes back through YEARS. But that’s only because I consciously organize those dates and details when I use my Sleep; I’m responsible for them. My Si also feels much more grounded and factual than my Ne will ever feel. Ne feels like a constant hobby that never shuts off, but I easily turn to Si when I want to come to concrete conclusions. A better way to say it is that I’m a very playful, philosophical person by nature, but I switch to my inflexible Si whenever I sense that it’s not time for fun and games. I don’t have too much of a problem shifting between Ne and Si in that sense, and I think it’s because my Si is masculine. It’s my entire foundation as a person in a lot of ways.
But then we come to the REAL problems. The true struggles of my inferior Si: consistency, commitment, and straightforward action. Building habits is near-impossible for me because I do everything on a whim and end up breaking them. Committing to anything or anyone feels trivial or terrifying with no in-between. And actually starting things? Taking action to achieve what I want? Please. All of my biggest achievements live in my head. Say I’m meant to be working on a project of some sort. If I want to start that project of my own accord, I freeze and wait until I have enough information and preparation, which is never. If someone tells me to start said project, I consciously or subconsciously rebel because I don’t like committing to other people. When I finally do end up starting said project for whatever reason - probably because I was forced - it’s the most stressful ordeal of my life and it feels horrifying and counterintuitive and makes me want to tear myself to pieces. And then I take a breath of relief and proceed to procrastinate all of my other commitments which eventually end the same way, if I even follow through with them at all. …It’s sad. It’s even sadder that the best way to get me to do something is to tell me NOT to do something. Or, better yet, that I CAN’T do something. Those words have me up and moving in a heartbeat. I have the spiteful responses of a little kid, and they’re my biggest motivator to this day - because they involve zero discipline nor commitment to listen to. Otherwise? Absolutely not. Nothing gets done.
(Seriously: if someone had looked over my shoulder and told me to write out this comment a half hour ago, I wouldn’t have done it. If it hadn’t been such an impulsive decision and I’d overthought what I was about to do for a few more seconds, I also wouldn’t have done it. I’m that easy to dissuade.)
You can see in those regards that even though I can use my Si a ton and am arguably proficient with it in many areas, there’s still a HUGE imbalance between it and my Ne. In the case that someone heard me talking about details from my past, they’d probably assume me to be a very down-to-earth, rational person, but if someone saw my daily attempts to put myself to work, they’d walk away thinking I’m psychotic. Having low Si doesn’t necessarily mean I’m bad at sensory altogether or that I’m a quixotic person who loathes factual information. It does mean that there are some areas where Si absolutely kills me to use and I’ll spend the majority of my time trying to run away from those areas. And then I’ll hit a corner and endure a tidal wave and attempt to learn from it. I won’t know for sure because I can’t know you completely from just your comment, but your Te might be similar.
I hope any small part of this might’ve helped (or at least have been interesting to read). I wish you the best in self-growth and learning more about your type 🤩💞

I think you're either mistyped or there's some misunderstanding as to how thinking is defined in the OP system. As an INTJ Jumper with the same activation and modality of my last function as you, I can tell you there's no way I am balanced in terms of sensing and intuition. I have an INFP friend who's your exact type and she is also very far from F/T balanced or T-capable. However, this assessment depends on one's definition of thinking. E.g. she can take care of herself and even takes on extra chores at home because double observing makes working with things easy for her. So if there is a problem that requires making someTHING work, demon Te doesn't stop her from finding it easy to do (something that cannot be said for me with demon Se). However, she is also financially dependent on her parents and despite espousing the will to finally be free, never makes any moves to be independent. She even admitted once that she'd prefer to be a housewife because she can't actually see herself working a proper job, let alone doing so full-time. She already struggles doing the bare minimum of her course work for university despite overloading herself at the start of every semester thinking "this time i'm not gonna drop all these courses but actually finish my degree". In other words, she's not ACTUALLY working for herself or others in the grand scheme of things; it only looks like it from the angle of managing the day-to-day, which is exactly where the single observers struggle. It's a matter of how her life is structured around doing the least amount of work she can get away with and how her priorities are systematically opposed to working her ass off they way the people around her do, which is something she has in common with every Fi-savior I've ever come across, including myself. When it comes to thinking, the question is not necessarily how high quality the work you put out is, but how much work you do / are willing to do in your life vs. how often you put "self-care" above work you could be doing. Often, demon-Te isn't even aware of how much work is technically available to be done because they only look at the work that really needs doing according to their own estimation. In contrast, for savior-Ti working feels personally fulfilling so they actively seek out extra work even in their free time. If you've ever talked to a savior-Ti, you'll notice that they love doing work just for the sake of doing work, meaning they'll make tasks harder or more complicated for themselves, or simply increase the number of tasks they do, none of which cohere with the concept of "self-care" and "relaxation" that Fi has. For Te, meanwhile, work is an obligation and a necessity, not a hobby. Demon-Te will feel this keenly, but won't meet societal standards the way savior-Te does.

@@sophiaredwood5825 Wow thanks, this is really helpful, I can use the first 2 paragraph to perfectly explain my type as well. The imbalanced between my intuition and sensing could also be explained with my Ne being both savior and masculine.
But I still think a single decider who struggle to balance self and tribe could have their thinking and feeling balanced. It's just too assertive to say "Everyone who have tribe validation as their first human need are either super rational or super imotional", that's to much of an stretch imo.

I think they are the secondary and tertiary functions that are Thinking and Feeling which this channel has dubbed decider’s. Those stacked in the middle makes them balanced compared to the imbalance of the first and last functions. So, double deciders should be ExxP and IxxJ because the dominant and inferior functions are observers (intuition and sensing) making the deciding functions rest in the second and third spots.

They are. If you go to their website in the description and once there do a search for "Video Typing", and then click the link the details come up. The next time they're accepting people for typing sessions is 10am pst on 4/1/22.

Intuition is about behavior. Ni live how they decided to, because they have a certain goal in mind. Ne seeks role models and then copies them. That is why Ni Craig have a hard time copying others, like every Ni. Ne like every other extroverted function copies other people, that's why there are no emotions tied to extroverted functions. Because somebody else is already doing it. And when they asked him about favorite Bond, he probably copied some usual answer Fi person would give, just to fit in (Fe). But where is he serious, is his social rank - asking why he does not have a better room, which he take as being inferior. Te person would just think about it only in terms of resources and not in terms of social hierarchy.

Ne is not a people function, it does not copy people, it explores and gathers ideas
Se is also not a people functions, it explores and gathers actual facts and experiences
You got it wrong, Ti and Fi are the identity functions
You may be new to OP
      Here’s the thing:
      IxxP: Significance (Ti/Fi dom)
      ExxP: Freedom (Ne/Se dom)
      ExxJ: Validation (Te/Fe dom)
      IxxJ: Control (Si/Ni dom)

@@J11_boohoo Introverted functions are identity. Ni, Si are also identity. Ni and Ne are about effects that people/things have on each other. Based on this knowledge Ni people decide their actions to achieve their goals. Ne then copies behavior of Ni people to achieve their own goals. Ti/Fe, Fi/Te are about deciding those goals. Se/Ni, Ne/Si about what actions to take to achieve them.

@@J11_boohoo You speak like Ne person. OP emits ideas and you accepted it. I have Se. They express their observations and I look for what they observed (which is Se) and come up with my own pattern (reason for that behavior). Given enough observations, our Ni patterns should be the same. And definitions are made by Se. I observed situations, that were described using word "identity" by people and come up with common behavior in that situations. Identity means, that a person created something that he considers unique for him. He is sensitive towards those decisions/patterns of behavior because it will be judged by other people and his effort will be given value by his tribe. Ni/Si is as much identity as Fi/Ti.

I know you guys have said ISTPs are the "best type," and with Ti, Se, and Ni, they probably are the best at being successful. But I find most of them to be so obliviously self-centered that they're difficult to be around.
That boss at work with his head stuck so far up his ass, that d-bag who tailgates you on the highway, that impatient person who rushes to be first in line...ISTPs.
They're not funny, cool, or badass but so desperately want to be.
