I'm hoping you see this. So In a few ramen styling videos I've seen, there seems to be a little round grate placed in the bowl with the noodles placed on top of that. Do you happen to know what it's called? I'm going to be doing ramen styling/photography for my job and I'm trying to learn as much as I can.
@Kimberly Navarro Hi! I am not familiar with the item you are referring to. I’m assuming it acts to keep the noodles and the other items from sinking into the liquid too much. However, that is easily achieved by using other things as well. For instance, when I have styled ramen I use the noodles as padding to fill the bowl, place my toppings and then add my (room temperature) broth to the desired height. You can also use fake ice cubes, aluminum foil (balled up), and even a small bowl that fits into your prop bowl flipped upside down as “padding”. Love this show, but it’s so hard for my brain to disassociate cooking food with eating it! “Wait, you need to cook the noodles longer otherwise they’ll be too hard! And that broth will be so much tastier if you heat it!” 😂
Yep paying for school to learn a skill or give you knowledge to make money is always a better investment than buying a car in the long run. Lots of people need to hear that one. Stop trying to flex and invest in yourself long term.
