- Hi everyone, today I'm on the Royal Caribbean @RoyalCaribbeanBlog cruise ship Anthem of the Seas. This cruise ship has a huge casino, with several hundred American casino slots, plus several roulette, blackjack and three card poker tables. They also had a crane machine with stacks of $100 inside!
In this video I'll show you around the cruise ship a little bit, plus we'll take a look at the cruise ship casino slots.
This video is in two parts, part 2 will have a lot more casino slot play of various stakes.

Bit dangerous that you can use your room card to gamble with guessing there is a limit
You basically link a credit/debit card to your room key, then every purchase on the ship is put on a statement that is settled at the end. I assume the limit is your credit limit.

When i went on a cruise ship, the guy next to me on the machine spent over 68K! He even told me how much he spent down to the penny! Very scary 😦

Would hate to think how bad those slots are set. Vegas penny slots on the strip last year paid at just under 89% which is shocking when you consider the max bet on these things. Suspect the ship is set to around 85% if you’re lucky! Captured audience.

The ship is incredible. You can only appreciate the scale of it when you are standing next to it on the dock.

We have been on a few Princess cruises. Casino is rubbish. When a big win is x5 stake of mini jackpot is x3 stake you know you’re in for a loss

Not too bad actually as long as the player understands that in most cases they are lower variance slots with features that don't pay huge amounts in terms of stake multiplication so can be good for a bit of entertainment particularly if playing those on 40c (30p) a spin.

Darren when playing that Wheel of Fortune there is no point playing $7 it is always best to play $10 which is fine for a man of your means! If you look top right you can see there are two golden wheels, the $10 one is far more generous as is common with a lot of American slots that are advantageous to play on max coin. For example on the $10 wheel there are four Grand segments ($20,000) which of course doesn't make them easier to get but the spin multipliers are also much better. It's harder to get the spin on gold from what I saw (can also do a long tease on the third reel) than on standard play but obviously pays better when it comes in because of the multipliers. It's like green vs red wheels on Star Turns.

One other thing, what are the tables set to? Is it double zero roulette? Also is blackjack 3/2 for blackjack? Again, vegas is tightening up and now have triple zero roulette and 6/5 blackjack. Players being screwed.
They had two European roulette wheels with single zero, and one standard American wheel. They never opened the American wheel, just the European ones. I'm pretty sure the blackjack was 3/2.

How much free play did you get on your seapass? You got between $2-100 when I was there. I luckily got 100 dollars free play played it through and walked away with 80 dollars cash. Didn’t risk a penny off my own money

Enjoy 👍🏻 we have done many cruises over last 10 years before covid hit and the casinos are great fun watching and playing but just be careful chargeing onto your onboard acc can be dangerous 🤔 on our 1st cruise on Ocean Village2 on last night you would get a paper statement for your account and the cabin next door the bloke had spent over 7k in the casino and his partner / wife found out 😂 the row went on for ages 😂😂 im supprised they let you film as they stopped me many times even just walking through when closed. I tried to find out, but didn't have much luck. A look online says they are bad, which they probably are, but the bonuses were coming in. American slot bonuses are usually pretty bad, so it's hard to say if these were any different.

All relative to stake. $100 he could have had 100 spins, at $7 that's only 14 spins. Many of the slots on board you can play minimum 40c a spin, or about 30p. The mistake on Wheel of Fortune was playing $7 instead of $10. Like many Vegas style slots the best return to player is on max coin.

It's good in my opinion, we didn't see much here but there are slots for all budgets from 40c (30p) a spin up to $10 a spin on Wheel of Fortune. On a 7 night cruise over 3 casino sessions I was up about $250.

I’m going on this ship in 4 weeks time, can’t wait, and hopefully can get some tips on the best slots on the boat
You'll have a great time, it was really good.
Forget the name of the slot itself but if you are entering the casino on deck 3 from the same entrance Darren did turn right after the first bank of machines on the right and go to the corner. I forget the name of it but it's on the far wall on the right, lets you choose up to 4 slots on screen at once, I remember Buffalo, Kitty something or other, anyway you can play four the same or any combo. Did well on these as did others players I saw, give regular features. Progressives are also available was playing four slots on $2 a spin total.
Oh and the worst slot was a Buffalo slot on the same side just past the bar, basically a clone of Raging Rhino with the same bonus guarantees, has both black and white buffalo's on it think it was next to Snow Leopard. One to avoid!
I would rather play super line up at Mr ps bognor, 10p play 3 pound jackpot, much more fun than this rubbish, all bells,whistles minimal payouts and little or no gameplay, but fair play to you steppy it's everyone to their own even though we are worlds apart as gamblers I enjoy your exploits.,👍🍉🔔🍒🍇🍐
I don't disagree but they don't have Super Line Up on board, obviously. Or any UK style fruit machine either compensated or random. All Vegas style. Luckily though you can play a lot of the slots for 40c spins which is about 30p, comparable to the £15/£25 machines in Mr P's. Plus the American slots compensate for lower percentages by giving regular features so not too bad for an hours entertainment.

Not in the UK sense but you can get cakes from several places on deck 4 including the coffee shop.
