Everyone of us meron naman talaga facade. How you present yourself at work, to your clients is very different how you present yourselves to your friends , which is also v ery different how you present yourselves to your children, parents etc... As an example: if you are very expressive and a regular curse word user with your friends... you won't be that person if you are in public with your clients? with your children? Gigi is just 27 or 28 yrs old now. But she started doing singing gigs in events (debuts, weddings, company parties etc) at an early age of 13/14 yrs old. When she reached her twenties her mom got/still sick with cancer. She never had a chance to truly face who she wanted to be. Now with the comfort and blessings that her singing has brought her, she has slowly come out of the shadow of childhood and is now an adult that knows what she wants. Whether its to our liking or not is up to our own preference. As a fan, I'm with her (you Gigi)!! She may change her mind what she wants in the future but as long as its not stopping the music its ok too!!!
Gigi's honesty, simplicity, and humbleness are still intact. We have personalities that never really changes but grows and adapts with life's experiences, and Gigi had her share and more will come. There is a complex side to her, and to do what she's doing requires being uninhibited and fearless. These are parts of her personality that she is freely sharing with the public. Some can't accept what they see because they idolize her so much and don't want her image to change. They have to understand that being in the entertainment business requires being strong and free to express yourself. The fans that are hurt the most are also the ones that love her deeply. Gigi, you initially portrayed yourself as a sweet girl with a beautiful voice and I believe most of the fans who followed your journey, including me, liked and loved you for that and it's only now that I came to know that it was only a facade. What they are seeing now was not they expected from you and we can't blame those who got disappointed. There was no authenticity in the first place. I was one of those who got confused with your transformation but as a true fan I kept it to myself so as not to distract you with all your commitments. I continued to embrace and support you and the band because you all are a bunch of talent. I find satisfaction and truly enjoyed your performances. Moving forward, no more pretensions and please take into consideration the constructive criticisms that may come your way. It will help you in your growth as an artist and most especially as a person. I will always support and pray for your continued success in life and also pray that your mother gets well soon.
It's a matter of perspective. She had to do what she had to do due to contractual obligations. People should also appreciate that she did went thru the fire to make changes and grow. It was not easy to to get out of that ridiculously long contract that did not allow her to be real. She and the band deserve all the good things they are reaping now.
I admire Gigi for being so brave in showing her true self...she can continue keeping the sweet, naive image that many people loved her for yet she chose to reveal her true personality even knowing that many fans will not accept her real personality..you did a great job Gigi, be true to yourself and dont let others mold yoibunto someone that you are not...wishing more success to you and uour bandmates ☺️

Very eye-opening and enlightening interview. I agree, this is their best one yet. Raw, honest and no-holds-barred. Glad we got to hear from Erwin’s perspective. Kudos to this man behind the band. His dedication and determination to helping them improve as well as not being afraid to make the tough decisions and lay it all out on the line in the beginning when they were nothing was the catalyst. Sometimes, all it takes is one person to see the bigger picture and he saw it and opened the doors for them. We have to admit that when the band is known normally the lead singer goes single and wanted to have a name for her/himself. And we know Gigi can do that no matter how good the rest of the band is. Even if they will get a new singer once nasimuan mabaklas parati n ganyan. It is a matter of mind set pa din Lalo na kapag highly talented Ang bawat Isa, d mawawala Ang angas. They need to acknowledge each other that they are equally important. Nobody is lesser than the other. Gigi though understand that though she knows pwede cya sumikat n cya lng tpos kanya lng talent fee but she also knows that she is at her best when is is with the band. Di Naman sya lugi sa band Niya Kasi highly skilled din mga Kasama Niya from drums, keyboard, lead and base guitars equally talented. I hope they will have the mind set that they are one body and they need each other. Pwede may mawala sa Isang parte but won't be the same. Yes right you have evolved in your career and in many aspects of your life but take care of the natural beautiful gift to you by the creator and that's your physical assets. You have smooth and flawless skin do not destroy this by putting tattoos in your body. There is no need to do that because once you put that in your body there's no way of removing it in the future.This maybe the fad today but it may not stay forever. Pero aside from the outward appearance that you seem to focus on.... The very big point of this interview is that THE BAND is WHOLE and MANAGING THEMSELVES! They REMAINED TRUE to their VISION and GOAL as a GROUP as a BAND! Maybe if Gigi became SELFISH and chose to be a solo artist then the CORPORATE would DEMAND/PRESSURE GIGI to remain with the Disney Princess FACADE.
I never realized how much of a social stigma tattoos are in the Philippines. You never see such disparaging comments about having tattoos in the comment section of western artists, ever. But in almost every video where Gigi’s tattoos are on display, so many people feel compelled to express their distaste. It’s so unfortunate and I’m sorry Gigi has to put up with it. I think they’re beautiful, tasteful and expressive. Great interview, great band.
As far as her new tattoos are concerned, it's her body and she should be free to do what she wants like anybody else. Idk if it's removable or what only Gigi knows but again it's none of our business to bashed or judged Gigi because of this because I'm sure she knows what she's doing.
The facade was during the middle east 2022 tour when they were under ABS-CBN. They had to act a certain way, dress a certain way, sing certain songs, etc. Around Oct 2022, after she cut her hair, she & the band started to change & move towards more rock type songs, which is their preferred genre. This current tour is different bc this was organozed by independent producers. The facade phase didn't really include the livestreams they used to do. That's them being themselves, goofy, crazy & playing pranks on each other. But of course they were playing all sorts of music genres bc their viewers were always requesting songs. One thing that wasn't addressed was their 1st album, why they were not allowed to perform their original songs when they were doing so many smaller gigs last year in the Philippines. This was the time they later got into a vehicular accident. From what I heard, they were not allowed to perform their original songs unless ABS-CBN is producing the show.
Hmmm... i like her before... the facade as she qouted... i still like her as a singer though...but i like the old Gigi more ..shes a beautiful woman... and i miss her.... what i see now is a loyal rock star with her band...
I would never dream of bashing you, Gigi. I just feel like you are letting all that natural beauty and purity slip away with the tattoo obsession. It is...like a distraction that has added nothing to you or your persona. I still love you, your character and personality, that unmatched smile, and your story-telling ability when interpreting a cover is so far ahead of any other performer. Gigi, you initially portrayed yourself as a sweet girl with a beautiful voice and I believe most of the fans who followed your journey, including me, liked and loved you for that and it's only now that I came to know that it was only a facade. What they are seeing now was not they expected from you and we can't blame those who got disappointed. There was no authenticity in the first place. I was one of those who got confused with your transformation but as a true fan I kept it to myself so as not to distract you with all your commitments. I continued to embrace and support you and the band because you all are a bunch of talent. I find satisfaction and truly enjoyed your performances. Moving forward, no more pretensions and please take into consideration the constructive criticisms that may come your way. It will help you in your growth as an artist and most especially as a person. I will always support and pray for your continued success in life and also pray that your mother gets well soon.
It's a matter of perspective. She had to do what she had to do due to contractual obligations. People should also appreciate that she did went thru the fire to make changes and grow. It was not easy to to get out of that ridiculously long contract that did not allow her to be real. She and the band deserve all the good things they are reaping now.

Very eye-opening and enlightening interview. I agree, this is their best one yet. Raw, honest and no-holds-barred. Glad we got to hear from Erwin’s perspective. Kudos to this man behind the band. His dedication and determination to helping them improve as well as not being afraid to make the tough decisions and lay it all out on the line in the beginning when they were nothing was the catalyst. Sometimes, all it takes is one person to see the bigger picture and he saw it and opened the doors for them. I never watch a band before because the instruments bothers me. But one day i was looking for something to listen and watch but the sound of the guitar and the piano caught my attention. I love how you guys play. You could make the instrument sing....love it! keep up the good work. Job well done.

We have to admit that when the band is known normally the lead singer goes single and wanted to have a name for her/himself. And we know Gigi can do that no matter how good the rest of the band is. Even if they will get a new singer once nasimuan mabaklas parati n ganyan. It is a matter of mind set pa din Lalo na kapag highly talented Ang bawat Isa, d mawawala Ang angas. They need to acknowledge each other that they are equally important. Nobody is lesser than the other. Gigi though understand that though she knows pwede cya sumikat n cya lng tpos kanya lng talent fee but she also knows that she is at her best when is is with the band. Di Naman sya lugi sa band Niya Kasi highly skilled din mga Kasama Niya from drums, keyboard, lead and base guitars equally talented. I hope they will have the mind set that they are one body and they need each other. Pwede may mawala sa Isang parte but won't be the same. Always, and always need each other and never let pride sink in so that together you will grow stronger and be the best version of each other. Always be humble!!! Never ever stop looking back from where, when and how you started. God bless

Yes right you have evolved in your career and in many aspects of your life but take care of the natural beautiful gift to you by the creator and that's your physical assets. You have smooth and flawless skin do not destroy this by putting tattoos in your body. There is no need to do that because once you put that in your body there's no way of removing it in the future.This maybe the fad today but it may not stay forever. Pero aside from the outward appearance that you seem to focus on.... The very big point of this interview is that THE BAND is WHOLE and MANAGING THEMSELVES! They REMAINED TRUE to their VISION and GOAL as a GROUP as a BAND!

I never realized how much of a social stigma tattoos are in the Philippines. You never see such disparaging comments about having tattoos in the comment section of western artists, ever.
But in almost every video where Gigi’s tattoos are on display, so many people feel compelled to express their distaste. It’s so unfortunate and I’m sorry Gigi has to put up with it.
I think they’re beautiful, tasteful and expressive.

I wish there was an English translation. I'm reading comments about all that sweet innocence she portrayed earlier was a facade? Someone explain?
The facade was during the middle east 2022 tour when they were under ABS-CBN. They had to act a certain way, dress a certain way, sing certain songs, etc. Around Oct 2022, after she cut her hair, she & the band started to change & move towards more rock type songs, which is their preferred genre. This current tour is different bc this was organozed by independent producers. The facade phase didn't really include the livestreams they used to do. That's them being themselves, goofy, crazy & playing pranks on each other. But of course they were playing all sorts of music genres bc their viewers were always requesting songs. One thing that wasn't addressed was their 1st album, why they were not allowed to perform their original songs when they were doing so many smaller gigs last year in the Philippines. This was the time they later got into a vehicular accident. From what I heard, they were not allowed to perform their original songs unless ABS-CBN is producing the show.

It is...like a distraction that has added nothing to you or your persona. I still love you, your character and personality, that unmatched smile, and your story-telling ability when interpreting a cover is so far ahead of any other performer.
